Is there anyway I could trade in my omicron and my HVD kit for credit towards a Persei? Pretty bummed that the universe isn't portable with it.

You two now can enjoy Industry leading Innovation, technology and customer service.

Unless you meant this great offer is only open to me and some other lucky guy (I wonder who he is...) I'm betting you meant one of the 'other twos'? Specifically the too one? Sounds the same, different meanings......although it does pass spell check so it must be OK.....

Great offer, BTW, good show I don't need either unit....or you'd be getting one of my Eubies real soon....

Ok you can use any vaporizer that is brand name and has a website.

but it cant be applied to a HVD as its only for the Chrome Persei and the Chrome Omicron.

I was testing out a new heating tool and apparently way overheated my cart off the bat. I saw vapor come out of the bottom of the cart when I first did it, is this a sure sign I melted the seal?

By the time that had happened, 3/5ths of the load was already in the cart so I just finished the loading, and I guess it overheated again and I got some piffs of vapor out of the top that time.

Looks like my clumsy self should finally get that handheld heatgun :ko:

edit:
My too-big torch actually darkened part of the top 1/3rd part of the cart, so thats definitely a bad sign, but it seems to be working great nevertheless. Used really expensive wax so hopefully this was disaster narrowly avoided (If the seals are destroyed enough by heat, doesn't that taint the concentrate in some way?)

It's actually common for vapor to come out of the bottom when it has a clog. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Enjoy it if it works and learn from this lesson.

I guess I don't even remember being overwhelmed by that combination, let alone for days on end. It's part of how you do what you do, would probably kill a weaker guy?

Anyway, a typo is a tiny thing, but I get so little to poke fun at you with, can't hardly blame me, can you?

Still reminding myself, "you don't need another Persei or V2....really you don't".

Excellent point, vapor often comes off in loading (I think you want to limit that of course), and if the top is blocked by the funnel and load it's got to come out the bottom (or spit the load out the top?). If it run, and doesn't leak, I vote to use it in good health.

I need to report that the 15mm spacers ordered from LightHound do not fit inside of the OMI's tube. The dimension of the spacer match that of the tube exactly so there is no way to fit/slide the spacer in. :\ NO GOOD!!! I have (x2) fully charged 14500's that can not be used now. :disgust:

Not sure what to do as of yet.. it was only $2 so no major loss. I want an alternative but have not found anything, well just wanted to let everyone know.

Get some washers from the hardware store. Put them on the negative side. Make sure the washer fits around the post of the bottom cap. It may take a few.

Good idea..ima head over to home depot on my lunch break and try that out. Maybe just wrap up some of the washers I find nice and tight with some electrical tape.. you think?

Edit: I could have swore OF mentioned something similar to me the first time I mentioned i had found the spacers. AAHHH.. simplicity sometimes is key huh. haha

That's a bummer. Now I have to wonder where it is I got the two I have..... Better stop recommending them too.

Until a replacement that will work can be found, here's the 'old school' way of doing this. Either saw the end off a bolt or something like that or use a machine screw and nut. We need something like .6 inches, best 'off t he shelf' fit is 5/8 inch (.625 inches) but I just used 1/2 (.5 inches) and it seems to work fine. I used a 6-32 screw and nut, but the size is not important, only the length. I put a hex nut on the other end, just started on, so it has a broad flat end. Then I wrapped the center of it with tape until is was an easy slip fit in the tube. The tape holds the metal in the center and keeps it from touching the walls (not that that is needed if it's in the bottom position). You do the same with a sawed off bit of bolt or rod, use tape to bring the diameter up so it fits well.

You can also make a temporary spacer from aluminum foil (roll up a strip of the right width), but being so soft they tend to collapse and get stuck.

Good luck.
