Is a pass-through for the Persei available yet?

What thing shows voltages, et all including bad carts, is that the Iris or the tester or something I've yet to hear of?

Hitting through a water pipe looks like fun.. I lack the attachments on any of my pipes (all glass/glass 18mm) is the uh.. thing you put the oil on (nail?) and the glass dome, etc for sale somewhere too? If all I have is a 18mm down-stem and a credit card, where do I start and what parts do I need?

Thanks!!

Indy.
hey indy,
looks like a lot of ur questions got answered so i'll try to play clean-up
the passthru is called the Reactor
the IRIS is the lcd variable voltage top that shows ohm and tests carts
you can use some food grade tubing to connect ur silicone mouthpiece to a number of adapters that fit whip (from vaporizers) to GonG. the trick is getting the right size tubing, etc. TV has a glass adapter that is kinda pricey, but you'll have to swictch out the mouthpieces (or bore their's out like i did)
if you want to hit a nail w/ ur water piece, basically you need an oil dome setup like this
http://www.etsy.com/listing/86473636/concentrate-attachment-for-a-14mm18mm
at the simplest level. basically you heat the nail, drop the dome, with your oil on a dabber, dab the oil to the hot nail. w/ a hammer (basically a hot ceramic wand) you can put the oil on the nail and drop the hot wand on the nail. hope this helps!

I got one of Haywood's dome/nail set up (45degree bent stem) and it is a great starter, for a good price. I did upgrade the nail to a HE Ti, from a friend at half cost, but I just wanted to chime in, the Haywood dome is nice and thick glass, very sturdy, good quality for the price. I think D-9 also sells dabbing nails... if I remember that correctly...

We soon will be. Titanium nails are in production.

Thanks! I think that's pretty much all I was unclear on. I'll have to look into getting myself a pass through for my Persei now!

Cheers!

Looking for new batteries, any recommendations? I use two 18350's with a double top and 4 ohm carts. One of the trustfire batteries that came with the persei is already dead. I did buy two 5 ohm carts to use with the 18350 batteries, but one of them died on the first couple of hits. So I'm trying to decide if I should go with 6 volts (4 ohm carts) or stick with the 7.4 volt setup, or continue with 7.4 volts and get more 5 ohm carts. I never really got a chance to compare the 5 ohm carts to the 4 ohm carts because the one 5 ohm died so soon, from what I remember it worked about as well as the 4 ohm carts. Double 4 ohm with 7.4 volts works awesome but i dont think its recommended.

depends on your future needs and current and future funds.
if ya got the cash now get the aw imr 18350. hands down best. if ya want 6v and don't want to wait/get an IRIS when they are released, iirc the tenergy 3v that TV sells are supposed to be the best, however you will need a different charger for 3v, whether they are tenergy or ultra fire from D9

Thanks, what do you know about smart chargers? Thats why I was looking at the tenergy rcr123a batteries, just not sure if I will be happy with only 6 volts or not. I'll probably have to get the IRIS, sounds like two 18650's is the way to go with that top.

These are "safe, but not protected". Note the scary spec: "Note: Do not discharge below 2V. Cells will be damaged when discharged below 2V."

This is why they say up above: "DO NOT USE TWO OF THESE WITH INCANDESCENT LAMPS". They're not saying that because it makes light....it's because this is a high current series battery system...same as a vape is.

Consider if you goof up, or the charger doesn't make good contact or whatever causes you to put a fresh battery and a dead one in. Total is 5.2 Volts, plenty to go with. It's just a bit slow and destroying the discharged battery as you use it.

These parts are definitely not good for vapes or similar high current devices that use more than one at a time as I understand things....I'd stay way clear myself.

Yer welcome, again. Nice set up. We make a great team.

No Laurel and Hardy, mind.....more on the Heckle and Jeckle end of things I'm thinking.....

Better than Frank and Bob. You think I dance bad? You should hear me sing.....

Although "The Road to Vapeland" does interest me a bit.

Family member that was out of the hospital back in via the ER and I have had to pretend at being Mr. responsible. Lots of interstate and city driving as well as dealing with many doctors and wigged out friends and family. So I have not gotten to unpack and load up my newly refurbished Persei.

Just wanted to acknowledge that the turn around time on sending in a malfunctioning unit was freaky fast. Posted back to delta9vapes Friday afternoon on 1JUN on my way home from the VA. Saturday the 8th and I had a notice to pick it back up at the local post office. So the turn around time was something like 24-48 hours. Very nice.

D9 builds the house, we'll "fix" it, lol

my partner says she often hears calliope music when i fall over while bouncing around the house so you're probably more spot on than you know. can't dance for shit either, but i can sing in Kermit's voice. i do a great rendition of Cash's cover of "Hurt" for karaoke, but that's about it. I'm definitely on the skinny side so if your carrying a little extra weight at least the visual will hold up in if we try to stretch our proverbial comedic legs towards those legends, although failure is a most probable result. ;)

By the sheerest stroke of luck, I've been holding steadfastly to that very body type!

If the goal is to explore failure, however, I can save you a lot of investigation......

got my hammer, dual mouth pieces, and a 5 pack of 3 ohm carts coming soon (most likely tomorrow) but i wanna make sure of some stuff...got my persei like a month ago but i cant seem to find the chart that shows which carts u can use with the double head top. i know that 1.5 and 2.4are for 3.7- 3 ohm is for 6v- and 4 and 5 ohms are for 7.4v. but i wanna make sure (if anyone knows)...is it cool to do dual 3 ohms on the dual top?...or is it just for 2.4?...dont wanna short out any carts by over amping them.

eric rich,
I have a question about the 'orange glow' test one it to perform before filling a cart to make sure the thing works. When I try this with a fully charged 3.7V battery and a 5 Ohm cart I see nothing. However when I switch to 7.4V I see a glow.. that's the glow of death it seems though. I hit the button just long enough to catch a glimmer (in a dark room too!) but that's it.. and I've cooked 2 carts in a row now looking for a glow and have recovered and reloaded for the 3rd time (in my last 5 ohm cart too.. 3 in yesterday.. 1 left and gotta reorder tomorrow!) without looking for a glow and got lucky, hits like a champ..

So my conclusion is that a glow test at 7.4V is bad.. but I get no glow at 3.7 so I'm at a loss!

What have I done wrong?

Thanks!

Indy.

Nope, there is no glow at 3.7v but there is warmth that you can feel for.

I prime the high ohm carts on 3.7v too, less heat is always good for the medicine

This is exactly what you and everyone out there should do. If you dry fire at 7.4 with any cart it will be short lived.

You catch on quick Indy!

When I got my Persei I had a bunch of half used 2.4ohms that worked great at 7.4v. When I started filling new ones I learned too.

I agree. I'm not even in favor of dry firing (AKA glow testing) at 3.7 Volts either. It's a matter of degrees IMO. I'd rather measure the resistance, although not too long ago I loaded one with a bad heater. Probably not paying enough attention. No big deal, of course, but not something I want to do again anytime soon.

Anyway, I avoid dry burns. It pushes the heater assembly to higher temperatures than it would otherwise reach, which can't be a good thing for long life.

I've noticed the short lived carts when doing this for sure. I did dry burns only because it was advised to do so to oxidize it or w/e. How do you go about measuring the resistance OF? What tool would you need to do that. I remember that cartridge tester box that was spose to come out, but haven't heard much on it.

On another note, I love Delta9Vapes and FuckCombustion! I won the Delta9Vape Contest and got $100 Credit to the D9V site. This is the 2nd thing I've Ever won in my life time and I'm an old fart! I remember I want a 3 pack of VHS tapes at my moms company picnic bingo game.

3 pack of VHS Tapes or $100 Credit on an awesome site? I'm definitely stepping up. :dog:
