I could tell you one thing the ROFFU as my respect of being a heavy hitter for me. It's definitely up there with my log vape running through the WPA. I pre started by feathering the air hole with a dosing capsule preheated for about 2min. And it was milking up my bong really good. About three fat hits. I don't really use the ROFFU through water it's more of my out and about I'm usually on the log but I decided to change it up today and give it another go with the WPA and I'm definitely impressed without powerful this vape is.

Sometimes I get herb that is too strong for a full bowl, and sometimes I get herb that I need 2-3 bowls to get where I want to be. So, I wanted to test out how functional having a longer bowl would work in the Roffu before ordering the new glass that people have been discussing here. So I made a paper tube similar to what is described here: https://fuckcombustion.com/threads/paper-roasting-tubes.51923/

I used the tube that the capsules come in to form the paper around, then I put in the metal bowl, and it's screen, into the paper tube and used a chopstick to push it up higher into the paper tube. Loaded it, then inserted it into the Roffu with the Roffu upside down to make sure not to drop any herb into the heater. This could be solved by putting another screen in the tube after you load it.

I made the tube about 4 inches long and used it without the cooling unit. If I do this on a regular basis, I would make a cork connector for the top so you can connect it to glass, or make some sort of non-paper mouthpiece. Both are talked about at the link above.

If you are wondering how well it worked, let's just say I've had to rewrite this post numerous times to get it to make sense. I'm off my tits.

I did stir it to get a bit more out of it at the end, but it didn't really need it. I easily was able to double the standard capacity, and it extracted like a champ!

Edited: I stand corrected, VPM is carrying the Lite only for $189.95CDN as I see from the included list there is no funnel, grinder, bag or glass bowl though the product page doesn’t say lite, not a good price really, I got the full version for $170CDN w/free shipping. Ordered the ruffo on 12/22. Arrived today. 2 days is a pretty good turn around, dare i say impressive. I havent turned it on yet because it was left in the mailbox for 8hrs in sub zero temps. Figured it wasnt a good idea. So i am going to let it warm up naturally before using (think of a kid with a new toy who cannot play with it yet). Read the quick use direction. Seems pretty simple to use. Not crazy how small the glass tubes are, but i may end up getting the dosing caps anyway so wont be a huge deal. I was pleasantly surprised how small it was. I thought it was bigger than this from the video reviews i have seen, but maybe the guy i saw has little baby hands.

Now…on to things that were discussed. The grinder. So i did the magnet test with some different strength ones i have lying around. The low energy ones didnt stick, but the stronger ones do. My guess is that there is SOME stainless steel in the metal, but it is probably mixed with some aluminum as well. I doubt it is solid stainless, but i could be wrong. Feels nice though….i wish it was a smidge bigger, but i use my scs anyway. Nice little grinder though for sure.

It is below zero out right now, so i doubt i will get to use it tonight (i cannot use it in the house as i fear for my safety due to the wife). I want to make sure it is up to room temp first, clean everything with alcohol (mild germaphobe cuz i work in a hospital and i see some scary shit), and make sure it is charges appropriately.

One thing i do feel though, is that i will MOST LIKELY get the wpa. When i ordered this, my uncle ordered one as well when i showed him the price…but he also ordered a wpa with it. I wanna see what he says about it first.

More to come, but so far i am impressed with how it feels, looks, and what i read if the operation.

I think you’re talking about 420EDC they have the Lite version only and are located in the US and ship to Canada. VPM is located in Canada and doesn’t carry the Lite version. Sign up at VPM and get a 10% 1st order discount.

I contacted VPM via their web page. Was looking at the 15% off sale. I specifically asked if it was FULL kit with both glass and metal chambers plus the tiny grinder, or if it was the LITE kit. Email I got back (from VPM) — just checked again — confirmed it was only the Lite Kit that they had in stock. He specifically used the term “Lite Kit” and listed the package contents.

I have a couple V3Pro’s, so am good for now. Even with the discount (shipping isn’t included, either), it’s more than I’m willing to pay — especially for the LITE kit.

Recommend the wpa and the skin, spare funnel is a good idea as well, I‘m always misplacing mine.

I was actually thinking about all 3 of your suggestions already, although i doubt i will lose the funnel because i have an entire case setup for all tools, jars, etc with a lock on it (kids). I just grab the bag, do a session, put everything back in, and lock it.

The list i have so far is: wpa, dosing caps, and some sort of skin, although i have never been a big fan of silicone. I may have my buddy make me a leather one….but we will see.

It’s funny….i must admit i am a bit giddy to try this

Thank you for the info on the grinder. It's a cool novelty for very small amounts if you're the type that likes fresh ground. I really really like the scoop I use that thing religiously on all my vapes.

I pretty much use mine with only the capsules and it stays super spotless and honestly I've only ever cleaned all my parts with just warm hot water I just clean it more often than not and it's not an issue with any kind of maintenance at all. The capsules when I'm done I just wipe out with a q-tip that's dry and their spotless.

Right now my happy place is ROFFU max temp with a glass Jhook with dosing capsules. The Jhook is so nice with this device I was blowing some serious clouds I've been starting it with feathering the airport, it's like a turbo boost I could see it all through my Jhook with a different techniques.

Christmas came early in today’s mail with the Roffu that I ordered on the 22nd. Very pleased to receive it today. Did one burn off and am charging the battery up now. Won’t be able to inaugurate it until later tonight but very pleased with the look and feel of the device. Solid in the hand, no rattle, strong magnetic closure. While I like my V3 Pro well enough, the Roffu looks and feels like a solid upgrade, And for $99 delivered?

I just brush out ground herb straight into the Roffu via the funnel, the scoop keeps hitting my BCG magnet so is a pain for me. I do like a sprinkle fill too.

A glass j-hook sounds interesting. I will have to go back a bit and read up.

Have yet to find any device that will destroy the hairs on vaping besides combustion. What you really look for is at least what I've observed is the little balls on the tricone heads to be gone That's where all the THC is? Anyways I don't know just messing with the new digital microscope today and just getting baked and messing around

Question though. After 1 6min max temp and 4 max temp 3min sessions, the battery was at under 50%. Is this a normal battery efficiency? Seems a bit less than i was expecting.

Would a higher mah rating be ok to use? I was thinking 3400ish. I was looking for replacement 18650 batteries, and i saw some all the way up to 9900mah….that seems a bit much, but if i wanted to grab an extra battery, which one should i be looking at. I absolutely HATED attempting to do a sesh with my “other” device and getting one hit before it shut off due to no battery level indicator. I think it would be nice to have an extra about for just that sort of thing…..

179 dollars Canadian is 131.60 in American dollars, which is less than I paid for my sister's Roffu, but not as good as the current Xmax sale. Seems like a good deal wit that 10% discount you got.

Any new battery will need about 4 or more cycles before reaching its maximum capacity (then it is downhill from there). That said I always have a spare (or 12) 18650 batteries that I can use. I always purchased LG HG2 or Sony VT6 both are properly rated at 3000mAh. This may seem lower than a lot of others but they both have quite a high amp draw capability (CDR of 20amp+) and can be used in any portable herb vape I know of without fear of them blowing up!
That said, I am going to get Molicel P28a next time as they have a CDR of 35amps with a 2800mAh capacity. My 4-year-oldish LG and Sony batteries are getting a little sad as they only hold about 2500mAh now but my smartish Nitecore SC4 charger says they are still good.
Whichever battery you decide on, the seller is the most important factor when buying as there are a lot of fakes around, I am sure someone will recommend a seller to you and there is an 18650 Battery thread or 2 to check out.

It may take a few days for some of the silicone parts to lose smell.

Batteries, we select them for safety and reliability (& trustworthy vendors) as much or more than we do for big mAh rating. Many here say avoid Amazon and only shopping by price/size.

Molicel P28A is one big ones here on FC. It is 2800 mAh. It does go a little farther than the battery included with Roffu, at least for me (idk what comes std in Roffu?).

I recently bought some here.

I'm getting 4 to 6 three min sessions of 3 to 6 hits each. Below that (indicator on Roffu under 50%) I find that it doesn't seem to make as strong a hit, though it will keep going longer. I think that is somewhere around 3.7 volts or so.
My tendency is more to do a couple bowls and plug it in to usb-c, I like to just top it off. Battery life may not be maximized this way, but I generally get a couple of years from one, and they are not expensive.
