Full disclosure: I was recently contacted by TopGreeen and asked to provide feedback on the Xmax V3 Pro. I agreed so they sent me a complimentary unit.
Try blocking all but the top line of air intake holes. Although I haven't seen the heater on the V3 Pro, it has to be tiny because it heats up amazingly fast, and of course the V3 Pro isn't a large device so there's not much room for a large heater. I therefore suspect that it can be overwhelmed by the airflow.
When I first tried it I felt that the air intake was too noisy, so my original reason for blocking the holes was for noise reduction not vapour improvement. I immediately noticed that I got vapour a lot faster, and it was thicker as well. When I started reading this thread, I found that others have also made this discovery: @Petetbay and @3 Feet Farms and maybe others I don't recall. I've done a comparison test using my Orbiter so that I could see the vapour production, and the results at 220°C are dramatic.
I received the V3pro yesterday from the competition so that was quick shipping to the UK! Thank you Xmax!
I wanted to ask a few questions before I review the V3 for my social media as there are a few issues I don't know are common or isolated to my unit as I've heard nothing but praise from friends so im a little baffled to be honest. I'm comparing it to my HR Rogue and OG mighty.
I bought the glass mouthpiece accessory and the wpa accessory. Vapor is basically none existent at anything less than 220c with any of the mouthpieces unless I pull quite hard like through water ill get some vapor but not a lot and I'm able to easily vape without water at this temp which seems strange as I can't on the Rogue or mighty as its too strong.
At 180c or lower there is a slight flavour but nothing else and when the session is over (3 mins) I have it in session mode but have tried both modes. The herb has a char to the middle but not much else and is nowhere near dark enough for the temp compared the the rogue etc. I'm wondering if you need to preheat this or is my unit faulty or is this normal behavior? I'm just a bit disappointed as I had a few friends very excited about getting one for the price.
I'm using an external charger. Xtar and efest and also have tried the battery it came with and also some 3000mah 35amp batteries and also vtc6's.
Thank you
