I pack mine 75% full and start at 5, and I go up to 7-7.5. I usually get 4-6 bags out of a pack. I save the ABV for deserts to be made on weekends.

I had the same issue with my chamber not clamping down. You can try the new clips that came with your easy valve kit (assuming that's what you have). I noticed my bags filling up slower because air was literally moving/spinning the herb chamber unless I held the chamber down to the socket on top of the volcano. I was definitely losing vapor.

*does anyone else notice that material gets through the top screen and into the upper tube of he herb hammer? I'm guessing if it's getting through the top screen, it is also getting into the bags. Does this mean my grind is to fine? Or is this common?
I had that happen last night but of course I was too high to notice that my top screen totally fell out... half the bowl was in the damn bag . So we spent the rest of the night accidentally getting weed in our mouth... But yea I think weed does manage to get through, they have extra fine screens on their website for like 6 bucks.

I have only owned my volcano for a week now and once in awhile I think i feel a spec of weed getting though to my bag.

I was wondering if the volcano would be overkill for a single user but I find it just right for me. I know it has a long heat up time but I work around that. Then It fills the bags so quickly....I like that.

I had to start vaping at 4 because my lungs were so congested from smoking the herb. It's only been a week and I am up to 5 now.

After going through 2 HerbalAires over the years....I just stopped vaping because I was tired of the HA and started hitting my bong. Well, it really hurt my lungs and I am hoping they will clear up more just vaping. I am 60 and was a smoker.

My Volcano was a gift from a close friend so that makes it even more special to me. I have the classic and like it because it doesn't shut off after 3 minutes. My vaping sessions go over 30 minutes at each sitting. I also have the solid valve. Love it!

Man, sorry bout losing that bowl, that blows. I know the feeling, I lost one yesterday too because I left my freshly packed herb chamber on top the volcano for like 10-15 minutes .

Thanks for the tip, I'm going to order some extra fine screens Monday.

Never would my friends gift me a Volcano. Shit, they won't even buy me a beer. I need new friends.

Glad you are enjoying your Volcano! VAPE ON!

Is this what it is supposed to look like? Is my plastic circular clip in the right spot?

Looks a little crooked, try pulling up a tad more and it should be perfect!

Hi fellow Volcano users! Any solid valve users have any advice on separating the metal from the plastic in the filling chamber? Any help would be appreciated. This is driving me nuts!

It's suppose to twist out of there...it's treaded.

Maybe try taking your empty solid valve and setting it ontop of a hot volcano with the air button on? If its condensed vapor (oil), heat will help to thin it out.

That's a great idea, also try a long ISO soak, that's what worked for me. I had to use pliers the first time I tried this as my friend who gave me the volcano never cleaned this part in the first place, so imagine ~5-6 years of buildup gunking it all up :p

The Volcano I've been using is pretty old, I've only replaced the screens and rubber rings on the solid valve. Recently, no matter how well I clean and reassemble it, I seem to always get some leakage. Part of the problem is the crimping of the plastic bag, I try to spread it out around the valve before applying the plastic locking ring, and I make that as tight as I can (usually nicking my fingers in the process, hah!) but it either continues to leak or begins to do so after a few sessions. My method of determining how uniform and proper the bag is set up is to hold it by the end of the bag and see how straight/flat the valve hangs, adjusting the length of bag as necessary to straighten it out. Given the circumference of the valve is considerable smaller than that of the bag, well, there's gonna be overlap and crimping.

Would any of you guys recommend the easy valve to mitigate this issue? Maybe cutting the bag at an angle could help too? The leaks aren't huge but they are enough to detect by odor alone (and I can easily see the vapor wisps escaping). Thanks!

I just recommend practicing what you're doing and it gets easier. There is a new balloon fixation ring available from S&B that's easier than the original clip/clamp that you're using.

Most of my problems come from not folding the bag evenly enough near the o ring. Too much bunched up here or too many layers stacked haphazardly can cause leaks.

I'm so picky about how even is.. it must point straight up when fully inflated.

i've been out of oil, so out comes my Volcano.

since putting it away, 2 of the 3 tiny screws that i guess hold it together, are gone.

still works fine but makes a rattling sound when the fan runs.

edit to add: the weird tiny screws on the sides on the cables on the back of my PC tower almost fit.
they just barely grab the threads but it stops the rattling sound

I bet if you contacted S&B they would help you out.
They hooked me up with 3 new rubber feet for the bottom of my 'cano when I asked for one!

They sent me replacement screw's, a tool, and 3 rubber feet after sending one email explaining my situation. Great customer service.

Sometimes I still get small leaks coming from the the area where the circular plastic clip sits on top of the o-ring

Any tips of constructing balloons?

Thinking of using a plastic zip tie instead of the o-ring? So I could get a tighter seal there - what do yout all think?

The leak comes here

sorry you can't see much in the video, but there's actually a lot of vapor leaking I'm noticing when it's dark and I have a flash light.

i remade the bag twice, it seems ok when fully filled. Even when I squeeze the closed bag, it doesn't really leak. But when it's filling or when I'm hitting it, I can see a lot of visible leakage. You can see it at about 0:21.

I know this is an old post, but it should help anyone who's experiencing issues with a leaky solid valve. I was having the same issues as this post.

I finally contacted S&B, explained the situation, and they shipped a new Solid Valve Housing

Put it on, and it solved the issue! I guess the base of the housing wasn't flat enough to make a good seal?

Not sure, but anyone experiencing issues with a leaky solid valve should contact S&B for a new Solid Valve Housing.

Where exactly is the leak coming from? Check out this post, it might solve your issue.

I just got my solid valve like a week ago from torontoV

So, there is a different housing? I don't really get it.

Or do I already have the new piece you're referring to

I mean my original solid housing had a slight leak from it. It would appear to leak out of the part of the housing where it clips into the bowl.

I had a defective housing, and when S&B sent me a new one, it fixed the issue. It's possible you have a defective one, like I did.

There is only one style of housing for the solid valve.

Thanks I'll give it a shot... Mine leaks in the same spot

Can you just cover those slits with something? Or do they serve a purpose?

I just want to cover them to see if the leak is for sure coming from there...

The slits to serve a purpose, they are what "clicks" into the bowl.

You can cover them, but it won't solve the problem (possibly slow it down though). I did a similar thing to try and mitigate the situation before I finally called S&B.

I just recieved my solid valve, damn I love the build of this MUCH more than an easy valve setup. It feels more solid, and looks like it needs a lot less herb. Much better design, Ill do more testing once I can actually use it with my unit but I am already liking it.

This is the best way I found to attach bags... You guys know it's difficult to bunch the bag up evenly around the valve and secure it tightly...
Use a zip tie... Haven't had q leak since

Secure it tightly around the o-ring

Hi everybody, just to let you know there's a new volcano owner here:wave:quick question, is the volcano any good for oils/concentrates? Haven't read all the thread yet! But getting there
