Thanks.

I talked to two people at SB yesterday and they assured me it was the clips. However, after you posted that video I realized there were exta metal clips in my starter kit. Once those didn't work I realized that SB's clips in the mail will not be of much help.

They assured me the clips are the only possible thing, and that the chambers are all the same size because they come from a mold. I however think maybe the chamber is to big, or the socket on the volcano is to small.

Either way, I'm going to order a new valve and see if that fixes anything. It seems like SB won't do more than send me the clips, which won't be of any help.
If you are really annoyed by the problem voice your concerns in a matter where S&B will realize that you are no happy with your product. Its not your job to replace the broken part, if it does not fit correctly I would assure them that you are facing a manufacturing problem with the valve and would like a replacement. If they keep saying no I would even get mean with them, if I am buying an expensive vaporizer I would want it to operate perfectly.

@SecureSwede, I called SB and again they told me that they can't do anything more, and that unless I cracked it or broke it, nothing can be done. She said I can send the chamber back to them, but I get the impression they won't do anything because they said there is no way it's broken or defective.

On one hand, I really appreciated the detail and attention as they were explaining things to me, but on the other hand I am very frustrated that they aren't acknowledging that the piece could possibly be defective. Instead, they are basically saying it's impossible for it to be their fault, and it's likely not defective. However, it is 100% defective because it's not working as it should...

Alright another question, since I am a bit of a hypochondriac, I was wondering if replacing the screen as I did when I replaced the clips, could cause the stainless steel chamber to scratch and flake off?

To be clear, when I replaced the clips I had to push the bottom screen through the metal chamber. While pushing the metal screen back into place, the outside edges of the screen naturally scrape against the inside of the chamber. Would these two metals running release, or scratch off, any very small pieces if metal?

Thanks for the update, sorry about your situation. Hopefully a replacement will fix your problem and if you do buy a new one and it works I would let S&B know just to show it was defective.

Personally I don't really know, Im just going to assume that its fine but maybe just be careful when youre pushing the screens though, dont apply too much force but honestly youre probably fine. You can always turn the unit upside down, give it some light shakes to get rid of anything that might be there.

I would assume it's fine since so many volcanos have been sold. I just wonder if two pieces of metal, and the sharp edges of the screen, could possibly cause some metal to flake off. I'm probably just thinking to much about this.

Do you notice anything when you change screens?

You are overthinking it IMO, screen gives in when you are pushing it in, very little force to flake stainless steel and you literally scraped the screen against the bowl for what 1 cm?

Another option would be to maybe take a video? Sorry that they are unwilling to help, thats BULLSHIT! Expensive unit. I would raise HELL personally.

I figured that I was over thinking it, but it's something that worries me.

I even called SB again and expressed my frustration even more, same results. Whatever, my new chamber will be here tomorrow, I'm excited to get on with it.

i've completely given up on trying to use the volcano with a bubbler.

it's a bag blower. ..... a very, very, very, very good bag blower.

gonna order a lsv for water use.

still happy as hell with the volcano. it's been giving me the best looking abv from any vape i've ever used. the qwiso i just made from a quarter of volcano abv is incredibly good. i put just a little bit in the center of the concentrate pad last night, set temp at max, goodnight.

you ever consider the gong adapter for bags? I know its not as conventional but its a $25 piece that replaces the easy valve mouthpiece allowing for connection to bubblers.

would that be forced air pumped from the Volcano into a bubbler?

nope, you just fill up a bag and instead of inhaling from the ezvalve mouthpiece you replace it with the adapter that allows you to connect the bag to a 18mm female joint on a bubbler or bong.

That just happened...
No it connects the easy valve to a bubbler using a gong. It doesn't work much better then holding the valve straight to the bubbler.

I tried that and didn't really notice much improvement. But of course it might work better for someone else

On my easy valve herb chamber, on the top part that air blows through, I notice little pieces of herb on the other side of the fine screen where the air travels towards. (Inside the metal tube part that connects to the bags)

Is my grind to fine? Or is this normal? I'm guessing pieces of herb are making their way into the bag too...

It gives it a secure connection rather than having gaps where air can escape so yes it does work better actually at least a little bit.

Do you guys cover your Volcano when it's not in use?

I usually give mine a 30 second run with the fan on to remove any dust, but now I'm wondering if I should be taking better care of it and covering it?

Here's a rookie question, but I've heard different things.

First off, I have a herbalizer and I hate it, because the bags constantly leak.

Does the volcano leak too? When filling bags, is there streams of smoke that escape?

Never had any leaks with mine, funny enough I am pretty sure I was just reading your comment in the herbalizer thread haha. I always thought that vape should have been constructed a little bit better, the volcanos build quality is astounding so a leaking bag is not too common I dont think.

The Volcano Easy Valve system doesn't leak, IME. Maybe just a tiny bit when putting on the mouthpiece, but nothing much really.

I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too
Not really sure a video would do much. It looks just like a normal easy valve sitting on top the volcano, however when the volcano fan is on, the herb chamber will spin slowly. If the bag is attached to the herb chamber, it will also spin with herb chamber.

I also notice that without the bag on, the herb chamber still spins slowly, I think due to the vibrations of the unit.

When I tried the new clips that came with the easy valve starter kit, I was able to get less movement from the herb chamber when connected to the volcano. The herb chamber is more stable with the new clips, and I can feel it gripping the volcano better. However it still spins slowly when the fan is on...

I also notice that fine particles of my material are getting through the top screen on the valve, and possibly into the bag? Is that normal?

Photo of the underside of the chamber would help.

I suspect your metal clips are the wrong way around.

i use my vacuum to pick up any dust and whatnot through the opening at the top of my volcano.

does sucking through a bubbler make a significant difference in the harshness of the hit when vaping at max temps on the volcano? Can someone describe the difference when using a bubbler at high temps?
Without a bubbler I don't find it terribly harsh but I'm curious.

So you would say the easy valve doesn't leak, and a solid valve does?

I don't think I'll be purchasing a volcano... Too expensive and if it leaks I'll have the same problem I do now.

Unless most of you have a unit that doesn't leak? I already have a solid valve

I don't have enough experience with the Solid Valve to say for sure, but from my limited experience, I did not notice it leaking, either.
