thank you so much for your input bro! thats why this place is so awesome. your insight makes a lot of sense, and I get the idea that hooking up the volcano to water filtration might be a little too much of a chore, to the point where you just don't want to do it for long.

your post might of saved me a few hundred bucks right there, thanks again.
You are welcome. Have you tried rigging up the crafty to a water pipe? IDK if DHgate is an option for you, if it is you could buy a bubbler for like $30-$50 shipped. I have seen the mighty with water tools and imagine crafty would be similar, looked pretty good to me.

EDIT:
Example of a good but cheap water pipe you could use, rig it up to your crafty vaporizer:

I dont understand why there isnt a valve system that would include water filtration. The only thing I could compare it to would be the okeanos for pens. sorry im pretty high haha

I would suggest buying from sunshine store and getting the d020-d since they are pretty much guaranteed to give you a quality piece

that link doest work.

I haven't thought of connecting the crafty to water filtration since I found the crafty chamber to be a little small. but I might consider it.

Also, I would want a bubbler in the 150-200$ price range. I take pride in the instruments I use to get high so I would want good quality stuff.

Well its up to you. Many people seem really happy with these pieces, even people who own mobius matrix (~$400). Stu has a comparison of his mobius matrix ion bubbler vs chinese bubbler. One is $400 other is $45

You should read this thread:
http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/cheap-high-quality-bubbler.5255/page-505

And yeah that product is gone. What it was, was the FC-187.Another solid option is the GB-187 (similar design from another seller). There will be another batch of FC-187.

With a new volcano, do you need to do any dry burns? Or is it ready to go right out of the box?

So I need to rinse the mouthpieces , or wash them at all?

i didn't do nothin

first bag tasted great

Does your herb chamber "snap" onto the volcano? Or does it just fit snug?

My herb chamber is hard to get level when placing on volcano, it also won't snap on. But in videos I thought this piece was supposed to snap on...

do you have a solid valve?

i heard the solid valve doesn't snap on but the ez valve does

i have an ez valve and it fits snug and level when snapped on. perfect

it snaps on very lightly though (it doesn't take much force and you really don't hear a "click")

Good to know, I was looking for a click sound. Does the volcano come with a air filter already in it? Or was I supposed to put one in? I didn't see any with my box.

Damn, the herb chamber gets HOT. How hot can this plastic get before it becomes unsafe and enters the vapor? I'm sure SB has thought this through and it's safe, but I'm wondering for myself.

I just ran my first session on 7-7.5 and it was incredible, I'm very happy.

Airfilter should be in it... but their should be also extra replacment airfilters in the packge..

I'm noticing that my ABV is lighter than I am used to, I went up to 7.5 and it's not super dark like my DBV would get. How dark should ABV be before it's finished?

I will say the material is very evenly vaked.

Go through 9! If you want, no combustion at 9 even. I always go through all temps

I just realized that my herb chamber wasn't all the way down on the unit. The metal spring tabs on the bottom weren't flexing. I gave it a strong push and now it stretched and fits perfect.

For the first 4 bags, since the herb chamber wasn't pushed down all the way, I noticed that the herb chamber go really hot. I am assuming that hot air was blowing more directly on the plastic than usual since the chamber wasn't all the way down, and sealed by the stainless.

Can the plastic take the heat? Or did I just potentially mess it up? I was trying to find a volcano plastic spec sheet that shows the temps it can take, especially before it off gasses anything, but I have had no luck finding this info.

I think whatever damage that has occurred (if at all) should not off gas into your air path because the stainless steel pieces of the easy valve fit so well together. I think its really strong for plastic, I have only heard of a report of it deteriorating. Storz and bickel do not recommend leaving the bowl on when not filling bags. Im sure your fine, that plastic is strong.

Yes I agree, however when I first was using it, the herb chamber was tough to get down flush. The metal springs on the bottom weren't moving enough to make the herb chamber go all the way down. What happened was that the stainless parts weren't sealed like they should be. Instead, hot air was being blown against the plastic...that's why I wonder if the plastic can handle that kind of heat.

Also, when I remove the herb chamber, so that I can remove the bag, I notice a little bit of vapor leaking out, is that normal? What am I doing wrong?

Lastly, do people cover the volcano with anything to prevent dust from getting in? I was thinking of leaving the herb chamber on once it has cooled...

Good news is I'm super super vaked.

Is the herb chamber supposed to spin slowly when the fan is on? My herb chamber spins slowly when the herb chamber is connected to the volcano with the fan on. The bag also spins because it is attached.

Is this normal? Or is my herb chamber defective? The little metal spring clips on the bottom grab the heating chamber, but it is lose enough to spin.

I tried calling SB but nobody answered, might be to early on the west coast.

Thanks

It's your guys call but for me nothing I do with the volcano comes close for water use, I much rather use the cloud or enano. I tried hooking up tubing to the volcano and its fun once and awhile but you use the air button a lot since you have to turn it on and off for each hit. Also just generally more clumbsy feeling and rushed due to the pump. I tried using bags with glass and its ok nothing to write home about and very inefficient , you get condensation with the bag then get condensation with the water pipe.

This doesn't mean volcano is a bad machine but trying to use it for something it's not designed to do was unsurprisingly bad. I even rather use the arizer solo with water

I will go with cloud/enano almost every time over volcano for water. It's not even close.

As for the plenty, I have never had the chance to use it but it seems too similar to the cano for me. I rather have another vaporizer that is more contrasting (smaller bowl), easier and smaller to pair with water. Also gong adapter are always nicer than jary rigging a connection. That said I am certain it works better with water than the cano.

I traded my evo for a volcano, I love the water hits but damn was the evo meh in some ways. The heat up time was so frustrating when I wanted to get high, it would take a solid 10-15 min just to heat up. I know the volcano isnt instant but its much faster. The evo was great for super milky hits but for groups it was really bad. No one knew how to use it and it was just frustrating since most people would take the first 5 seconds of their hit to start milking the piece. The evo is a beast but Im exicted to live out my volcano life now. I also like the build quality of these vapes, the evo can have housing problems with the bamboo.

It appears the metal clips on the bottom of the herb chamber are pushed to far out, and are not grabbing the volcano where it should. It seals, but it causes the entire chamber to spin. This is annoying because it makes it unstable and you need to hold the herb chamber and bag in place.

Does anyone else's herb chamber spin?

S&B are sending me new clips, but I really wish they would have replaced the herb chamber considering it was brand new and not wear and tear. I am also uncertain if new clips will even fix this.

I dont see how the whole herb chamber is defective. And probably nothing wrong with it physically, maybe just put together wrong? Very easy to fix

I checked it out, took it apart, put it back together, and it is still loose when connected to the volcano.

The herb chamber will spin easily once it is secured to the volcano. I think the air blowing up into the bag is causing enough force to spin the herb chamber. It could also be he vibration from the unit.

I also tried the new clips that came with the easy valve set, didn't work.

Either way, I was disappointed in the response from SB. I think this is a defective part and it should be replaced. They told me there is no way it is defective, but I disagree.
I did however appreciate the help and attention I received, I just disagree with the outcome. This gives me confidence in SB, and I think I will just buy a new valve and call it a loss.

Not really sure a video would do much. It looks just like a normal easy valve sitting on top the volcano, however when the volcano fan is on, the herb chamber will spin slowly. If the bag is attached to the herb chamber, it will also spin with herb chamber.

I also notice that without the bag on, the herb chamber still spins slowly, I think due to the vibrations of the unit.

When I tried the new clips that came with the easy valve starter kit, I was able to get less movement from the herb chamber when connected to the volcano. The herb chamber is more stable with the new clips, and I can feel it gripping the volcano better. However it still spins slowly when the fan is on...

I also notice that fine particles of my material are getting through the top screen on the valve, and possibly into the bag? Is that normal?

Normally chamber does not fit that tightly but spinning? That's so weird. You should try talking on the phone to someone if you can. Are the metal tabs in correctly and poking through?

Hope you get it fixed soon

Thanks.

I talked to two people at SB yesterday and they assured me it was the clips. However, after you posted that video I realized there were exta metal clips in my starter kit. Once those didn't work I realized that SB's clips in the mail will not be of much help.

They assured me the clips are the only possible thing, and that the chambers are all the same size because they come from a mold. I however think maybe the chamber is to big, or the socket on the volcano is to small.

Either way, I'm going to order a new valve and see if that fixes anything. It seems like SB won't do more than send me the clips, which won't be of any help.
