Well, scrolling through recent posts certainly has me nervous -- I purchased my Venty solely on brand loyalty and faith that it would be solid (from Volcano and Mighty/+ experiences), without reading many reviews or even touching base with the community here on it. Thankfully, my Venty I purchased back in May is still doin great -- so far! Yeah, not really long enough to be too confident though. At least all my other S&B vapes are still present and functioning, so I'd have those to fall back on if/when I need to RMA this thing...
I use my Venty like I have my Mighties -- almost exclusively inverted, through one of my glass pieces, using either the stainless-lined silicone (which I got from sneakypete) or the glass-lined silicone (from dailyhighclub I think?). I love how it can hit good even with some of my bigger pieces, the higher airflow and faster heater really helps fill a bong a lot faster than any other portable dry herb vape I've used before. I also always use capsules, because they just make life so much easier for me. After every session, I dump out the capsule and use a paper towel to wipe around the (ceramic?) rim of the loading chamber and then blow throw the WPA to dislodge any oil or anything in the screen and wipe it. Probably mostly an OCD thing, but, with the Mighties, I found that, over time, it does legitimately help reduce the sticky buildup on in the vape and adapter, as well as the lids of the capsules (which I reuse at least a couple times, even though I've read that they're meant to be disposable, inferring 1-time use?). Probably my biggest concern though is avoiding build-up inside the vapes air path itself though (my original Mighty is quite clogged), so I try to not leave the vapes inverted between hits.
I'm also curious what everyone's current charging habits are, and if anyone has any information (or even just reasonably educated guesses) as to whether there is anything in that area that could maybe be done to help prevent the dreaded errors from occurring? I normally just slow charge my Venty off a ~20w charger anytime it gets down to around the 30% mark, but once in a rare occasion I will forget and will end up fast charging it from near empty off of an Anker GaN brick or bank, or my MacBook Pro charger. I also have both the charging-related options toggled on in the app - charge current optimization and charge voltage limit. I know things can be different from device to device (and battery type to battery type), but experience has usually taught me that keeping things from getting hot from charging too fast usually extends their lifespan, so that's why I usually default to the slower charger (usually overnight).
Anyways, this is what I'm doing, and I'm open to suggestions if anyone knows of anything I should be doing differently/additionally to, in any way, help prevent this lovely vapes early demise!
