Vaponic Herbal Vaporizer

The triple torch lighter makes me love the Vaponic plus even more.

I expected that the triple torch lighter would only reduce the heating time compared to the single one. But somehow the taste lasts longer with the triple torch. What a vape!

Question: is there room for improvement for the plus in terms of functionality?

@Dutch-Mic yes, I had the same impression that the vapor signature is different. I think this is due to the more even heating of the outer glass. This prevents hot spots and results in smoother vapor - with less roast flavors.

About the improvements: maybe using magnets instead of the threaded aluminum would make it more convenient. But then again, probably less sturdy.

I'm visualing the plus with the magnets. It would be a nice improvement indeed If it could work properly.

The only thing I can think of at the moment, and it's not even about the plus itself, is a user manual in which the triple or quadruple torch is mentioned.

hm a question about the plus - how tight sits the outer tube in place? it's 2 o rings right? can u accidentially push it through when inserting the inner tube?
here is my diy cork-wood plus version in the background:
wl9AUdh.jpg

i prefer it standing upright like a pen holder for the outer tube, feels more like drinking a coke this way :) and u can feel the wood getting warm at the end of session (it's about 3mm airspace between wood and glass inside), kind of vapman like
so a plus with a flat bottom would be nicer imo ;)

I'm cranky and tired thanks to some irritating mosquitoes that are keeping me awake, but the picture made me smile @Used2use. Nice Volkswagen! Do I also see a Plenty/Vapcap hybrid?

Edit: answer to question removed. Interpreted question wrong.

Love your DIY plus! Looks almost like a rudimentary plus sized Vapman with a big mouth piece.

@Used2use very nice woodwork ;) The outer tube is kept in place by two silicone o-ring types. Depending on the fit (when using the cheap replacement tubes, you can push it through - but only if the lower part is not attached, otherwise that lower cap stops the outer tube from being pushed too far.
I understand the part with the flat bottom. Given the correct O-rings, it shouldn't be hard to fashion a similar casing yourself. I, myself, like the pen clip a lot that keeps me from losing it or sitting on it accidentally.

@Schroedinger
actually my current solution is even simpler than o rings - i just put a few layers of tape around the upper part of the outer tube, it doesn't get hot so that should be fine (11,5mm drill would be better)...
Have been unlucky so far in finding some suitable ring magnets, till now the cork is only pushed in to hold - it works but it's sub optimum, but i've drunk enough wine to have some decent cork for new versions :D

And i believe in this thread is no link to this nice diy vaponic clone, so here it is:
http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/cheap-diy-vaponic-clone.14612/

btw i've found those inner tubes with the keyword lufka on ebay/the big river, pretty cheap but they don't fit the original...

Hello there
long time reader, first time poster,
i wanted to transmit my love for both this website and the vaponic (which i purchased bout a year ago after months spent browsing the website)
choosing your first vape is a litteral nightmare
i hereby thank FC website, staff and users for the help they gave me to choose the right model.
Being on a budget (150€ is a sizeable part on the median income in my place) you want the best bang for your buck, and i think i pretty nailed it thanks to you.
Aside for the qualities upon mentioned all the way to the thread , i wouls like to mention a little tip for those sippers like me who want a thick cloud without hitting like crazy, joint like experience (long past is the time of hitting bongs for me).i dont think i saw it mentioned although i read a big part of the thread. if anyone mentioned it before i apologize. at least it got me signing in
Just remove the upper cap! prevents from adding cool air to the vapor through the 2 tiny holes in the silicone piece circling the inner tube
the first hit this way is beyond dreams!
next ones aren't too bas either xd
i bassically just use the upper cap when i m tired of the significant increase in temp and just want a cool hit.
this way u can sip all your way up!
careful with the glass, as mentioned. if it drops you are screwed almost every time but it s so cheap anyway
plus u can easyly buy spare parts separately . i even have a spare outer tube waiting for next fall xd.
in conclusion , i am really happy with this really cheap yet high quality vape.
not to mention you can clean it like brand new in a blink of an eye

Hi @grib welcome to the forum. What do you mean by "removing the cap" do you mean the glass mouth piece and suck on the upper part of the inner tube instead to avoid mixing the vapor with fresh air?

I had the same problem. I chose an electric one at first (the storm) and bought the vaponic for my brother, but decided to keep it after testing it and using it as my primary vape.

Hi @grib, also a warm welcome from me!

You describe perfectly why I love this forum: lots of friendly and helpful people. Only my bank account dislikes FC for obvious reasons...

Glad to read you like the Vaponic. Was the learning curve okay for you? Enjoy your vape

Edit: don't know if the two are comparable, but how does the DLX M compare to the Vaponic @Schroedinger ?

Hey to both of you and thank for your warm welcomes! Apreciate.
As for your questions

by "removing the cap" do you mean the glass mouth piece and suck on the upper part of the inner tube instead to avoid mixing the vapor with fresh air?

pretty much it. Gets you a more intense vapor which is really nice at low temps. even at high temps i usually take it off unless i am too high already (which does happen ). I am more of a low temp guy anyway.
At high temps it does feels good to have that cool air sometimes though.
Btw thought i had THE tip no one bothered to report, but afterwards i had one more quick check on the thread from the beginning and to my shame i saw it in like the very first page of the thread

Alternatively one can remove the glass mouthpiece in effect creating a sealed connection with the silicone ring

as for dutch-mic
Was the learning curve okay for you?

it s been allright it s not that hard to get your soft point . well i burnt my fair share of bud, specially when u binge hit because the heat retention is really nice so u have tendency to overheat.
but all in all it s benn a year now since i ve had it, plus i now have a cheap triple torch that does wonders, as stated along the thread, in terms of heating time as well as temp control.
my go to technique is gently heat with quick triple flame burst (like 5 sec? only the first heat can take a little longer) and rather let it cool (which is quick) and go again in 2 min than overheat.
when i forget it (drunk, with other people or whatever reason), u can quickly overheat if careless.
worth the risk though: just drop the load and put a new one when that happens, as it is not that often

Beautiful vaponic reclaim :

jRhMUzd.jpeg

This is a couple months worth of reclaim. I use a torch lighter on a really low flame to gently heat the glass so that the oil runs down and drops onto my slick mat.

I just added a pin prick of some synergy of nature sour diesel terpenes (non cannabis derived I believe) to a small portion of the oil, tried a dab and it's realllllly nice! Love the golden vaponic honey!
Peace

Awesome, I am usually too lazy and vape the reclaim directly (however collect the iso-cleaning residue from my other vapes). Where did you get the terps?

I got them from vapefiend.co.uk, but they are made by synergyofnature. About 20 quid for 1ml. I've only started experimenting with them. Using tiny amounts. I've never tried sour d so I can't say whether these terps taste like the strain, but I can say that I've had bud in the past grown by a friend which tasted very very similar to this.

Anyway, really nice effects. I'd highly recommend getting some of these slick matts and just periodically collecting the vaponic honey onto them, collecting as you go. The matts come in pairs so you can keep the oil safely sandwiched between the two. Its where I also keep my (shitty) qwiso.

A little goes a long way if you use it conservatively!
Peace

Quick question, after having tried a vapcap m (which I liked, a lot), I found this in a local shop and it´s even cheaper, my only doubt atm is how sturdy is this thing? Is some accidental drop enough to shatter it? How safe to take it outside, in the car, etc? All concerns i certainly do not have with the vapcap. But I am drawn to this one, all glass + amazing flavour all people report...

I am sorry to say that it is very fragile, I do not have the version plus, wooden case, but if I have and use the version ¨marker pen¨ and it broke me to have it in the door tray ... I slammed and broke the inner tube .. no need to say that if you fall to the ground you will break a piece of glass, you are also more exposed to burns ... in return with my Vaponic i get the best taste of how many vapes I have, more efficiency than with the Vapcap, very cheap parts (see pages back) and easy / fast to find in any local shop and I can clean it 100%

@herbalist33 thanks for the info, I found them in my country as well and think I am going to try to improve my reclaim.
@Rikhart I have the vaponic for a year now and only broke the outer tube twice which can be replaced by a cheap lab tube (12 x 75 mm) for a couple of cents. I used the vaponic in the marker case for 3 months before upgrading to the vaponic plus. With the naked one, you need to be a bit more careful but using it will give you a routine. The other cool thing is that you can buy all spare parts separately for small money. There are also some cool DIY cork casings in this thread.

Thanks for feedback to both of you @Whissmu @Schroedinger.

Do you mean tubes like: https://www.ebay.com/p/Sodial-12-x-...rex-with-Push-Caps-Clear-N3-10-Pcs/1373852768 ?

had bad experience with exactly those sodial type with blue plastic tops - no one fitted, they are all only 0,4mm wandings instead of 0,5mm.
Found some with cork tops, maybe 50% fit - the cork is also good for a cheapo diy copy with some lufka one hitters...
But i still got my first vaponic after over 2 years (and a second as backup :D ), only broke the inner tube bc my own stupidity (wedging too large screens into it to create baskets...) - original spare parts also aren't too expensive

In case you are in Europe, the cheapest original spare parts can be bought here (afaik): https://www.servovendi.com/uk/catalogsearch/result/?q=vaponic and it is only 2.90€ shipping, too.

EDIT: just checked and they deliver internationally too and U.S. shipping for the outer tube would be 3.26€.

Well, ordering each piece individually from there you could build a 22€ vaponic :o

I´ll probably do that as well, since I went to the shop and asked to see one, and as I feared it looks very fragile, I could tell from the employees body language he was super scared of breaking his boss´s personal vaponic that he was showing me ahahaha!

i got my complete backup vaponic for 22€ (and yes the case and tool are very handy, i needed the 'backup' for the casing to transport filled test tubes ;) ) - cheapest sources atm are ebay 30 w/ shipping and amazon 27€
so it depends how much u like the shop ;), guess they want the official retail 39€...

For those interested: I ordered some original spare parts from servovendi (see post above) for the first time and everything went fine.
BTW: yesterday I managed a single hit extraction with the vaponic for the first time. Smallish load, one big rip and the heating obviously was just perfect, because I got one huge cloud on the first hit and then the load was completely spent. Needless to say that the taste was excellent and pure.
