I have to admit that I always come back to the vaponic as my standard vape. Other devices come and go (I usually give them to family members and friends). There is no other vape IMHO that gives me the pure flavor as this little and actually really simple device. And currently my VAS seems cured with the vaponic and the dreamwood dlx m.

Hello everyone~ I am paehtod:D
I stepped in the butane/flame base vape and purchase the Vapcap M and Vaponic at the same time on August 2017, the vapcap come first and the Vaponic come to my home 2 days later.
In this 2 days i have been fall in love with vapcap, vapcap is so easy to get good result, but I didn't get same result with Vaponic at the beginning, so vaponic go in the cabinet.
4 months later, I have try Vapman, and Lotus this 2 different vape. Without the notification like the vapcap's click, i have to learn from Vapman that heat & count and inhale & count and repeat, which mean learning the technique of slowly build up the heat to ideal temperature.
In this xmas holiday I got some smell good stuff(which is very rare in my location), last night I take out my vaponic and put in a small nug, rotate and heat it up gently with the triple torch and count to 8 and inhale and count to 8 and repeat, first 2 cycle i got pure tasty hit with not much cloud, the 3 and 4 cycle is AMAZING!!! Cool and tasty and a lot of cloud, i even cant finish in 1 draw and 2nd draw in same cycle still a lot vapor, WOW, I immediately purchased the Vaponic Plus as my own late xmas gift:rofl:.
So happy finally i improved my skill to prove that I made a good purchase at the very beginning and Vaponic is a really good vape!:rockon::rockon:

Here is my DIY bamboo vaponic plus:)

Welcome @paehtod, great DIY mod. Yes, this is the most underrated and most versatile vape I can think of. And it changes it face depending of the lighter and the heating method. It ranges from single hit extraction to session vape for slow sips. And yes for me it is the 8-count for the quad-torch as well (gives me clouds on the first hits already).

I save the new vaponic as a back up and replaced with my old vaponic, I have play with it very intensely in the passed few days, and have build up a one hit technique, here is the video, i use 3 heat cycle to accumulate the suitable temperature and then heat few more 2seconds to the 4th cycle, can produce super tasty huge cloud and finish the load in once,
(In the Video is my DIY No.2 Vaponic Plus)

The vaponic also can suit the Dynastash XL from Dynavap.

I have spread some love and send message to vaponic when i purchase the Plus, and Daniel, the creator of the vaponic have replied email to me:clap: he told me that they have account in FC few years ago and may join in someday, and he have a very productive conversation with George from Dynavap, may be will have some news to us in nearly future:tup:

I had some thoughts about a hermaphrodite between vaponic and vapcap... - but i really like the abillity to see what is going on in the vaponic, so no use for that cap ;)
Another one-hitter water method would be to heat the outer tube alone (without the inner tube in it) until the flame turns orange on the glass surface (maybe try heating the whole surface more even), then put it back on and enjoy. That temp is really around the max that way, so experiment with letting the outer tube cool down for various seconds to find your sweet spot. Some glass connections work better without the little mouthpiece attached...
But the vaponic really shines with low temps and small temp increases

@paehtod - that nic always reminds me that i still have some overdue maintenance on my motorcycle ..

Hi guys,
I'm Daniel, the inventor and producer of the Vaponic. First of all thanks to everybody for participating in this forum and secondly please accept my apologies for not having entered earlier. Thanks to Paethod's mail I'm finally joining and very happy to do so.
Some of you were asking yourselves about the contact between me and George from Dynavap. We respect each other - and each other's products - a lot and we both thought it would be worth it to comment the pros and cons of our products. He sent me a sample of the new Omnivap and I sent him a Vaponic Plus.

What I referred to when I told Paethod that the conversation has already been very productive was that the Omnivap made me see something new about my own produt. Something that we so far considered a mistake has now turned into an option. I’m talking about the position of the inner tube of the Vaponic. We always told our customers to make sure to push it into the outer tube (=down) until it touches the end of the outer tube. Only like that our ideal air-vapor-ratio could be guaranteed. If, on the other hand, the inner tube did come out too far and may be even touch the mouthpiece, then we considered it to be the wrong position. Thanks to Omnivap's air-vapor-ratio control I’m now seeing it under a new light: you can pull it out and make it touch the mouthpiece on purpose, thus reducing the additional ventilation/cooling air circuit and receiving more concentrated vapor. That said, I still believe that the ideal position/ratio is the one we had found to be the best in hundreds of tests and therefore always recommended. Still, what used to be a problem is now an option for the a-v-ratio control and funnily enough it works very similar to Omnivap's a-v-control by adjusting the position of the inner tube (condenser) :-) I might upload video to showcase what I mean.

Cheers
Daniel

Welcome :)
love the vaponic concept , so simple but many ways to use it - for better connection to bubblers i would wish for a silicone piece with no 'air bypass' and 14+18mm male connection :brow:...
Another thing with the inner tube placing is, when the inner tube touches the outer tube it will add faster a little bit more conduction...

Welcome @Vaponic Team ! The Vaponic plus is my favorite vape for tasting strains and relaxed late night armchair sessions.
I would love to hear your thoughts on the use of triple and quadruple flame lighters. Different forum members prefer those because of the reduced heating time and more even AVB, while the manual recommends single flame ones.

The strength of the flame is very relevant. We recommend single flame lighters with the flame set to medium strength for three reasons:

1) Single flame set at maximum strength or double/triple/quadruple flame speeds up the process a lot and makes a smooth temperature control much harder, specially for beginners but not only. Advanced users can regulate the heat pretty precisely and some even opt to go for a first inhalation below the vaporizing temperature of the active compounds but hot enough for the aromatic compounds which vaporize at lower temperatures. It's pure gastronomic pleasure to fill your mouth with flavour and it's much easier to achieve with single flame at medium (or even low) strength.
2) The heat spreads out on its own while you're rotating the Vaponic and pointing with the flame in the middle between the end of the tube and the red line, at the upper 30% of the filling chamber, below the inner filter. And as the Vaponic is based more on convection than on conduction, eventually the air stream makes sure to spread the heat evenly.
3) It should only be heated from the side and NEVER at the very end in order not to overheat the herbs at the very entrance of the filling chamber. The more flames, the closer you'll get to the end.

That said, if you prefer using it with multi-flame lighters then go for it. The end of the day it's all about enjoying the result. One of the nice things about the Vaponic is that it allows you to play around with it, refining your personal technique and being able to watch and see exactly what's happening inside at any given moment during the process.

Happy to see you here @Vaponic Team , welcome!

Occasionally, when my DIY enail for flowers is turned on, I insert my Vaponic in the heating element (which is a slightly wider ceramic crucible cup stucks in an enail coil). Works very well!

Since you are here, did you already think about a metal+glass vaponic? A metal outer tube would be awesome to avoid too much breaks and to work with the amazing induction heater @Pipes created for us, lucky FC members !

My tests with concentrate are best with a thinner inner tube about the same length the one you use in your device, maybe you can work on some specifics accessories for concentrates....

Definitively my favourite butane powered vape for flavors!

Hi @PPN !

A metal outer tube would for sure be more crash resistant, but a the same time it would change and influence some other factors like the heat distribution, the visibility of the filling and - last but not least - the flavour. I'll keep it in mind though.

As for concentrates, I believe that the Vaponic used with our resin/oil filters delivers excellent results. Some people have actually told us that it was their first choice for concentrates. Why do you prefer a thinner tube? What are the shortcomings of our method?

Cheers
Daniel

thanks to consider my inputs, yes I'm not sure a outer metal tube will not impact the flavor or the heating technique.... IME a thinner inner tube will concentrate the heat and helps to keep the temp low with nice hits BUT I load my Vaponic using hemp fiber or cotton with wax soaked in. Using this method I get more substantials hits without to get afraid to overcook my concentrates, I found the vapor a lot smoother too!
The thin inner tube comes from another vaporizer. Please try to find one thin inner tube and give it a test round!

Have a deep clean with my Vaponic tonight:
1. Remove the metal screen and torch it to red hot.
2. Insert a small nug at the opening of the inner tube, torch the inner tube let the reclaim flow down to the nug:brow:.
3. Use 75% isopropyl alcohol, paper towel clean the inner tube and outter tube, and torch to eliminate the last stain.
4. My Vaponic like new now

I'm much more lazy - i use mostly my 'double decker' basket screen method, so the bowl, screen and outer tube stays clean. That reduces cleaning to soaking the inner tube for 10min in Iso, i don't even remove the screen most the times, maybe every 10th cleaning.

Hi @Vaponic Team, I am using your great vape for quite some time now and have tried a wide variety of torches: from small single flames to big flames and up to 4-flame torches. I am really amazed how large the variability of taste profiles you can achieve only by changing lighter and heating method.
After all tests I settled on using the 4-flame torch which gives me the best taste with the shortest heat up time and the thickest hits (see here). I think the very short but very even heating results in avoiding hot spots and you get instant big clouds without any charring (I cannot remember the last time I combusted or even charred my load).
However, I would not advise it for beginners who should approach it with the small single flame to get a feeling for the response.

@Dutch-Mic , what are your thoughts on our flame reasoning (post #537)?

I prefer the use of the medium sized flame that you mentioned. It gives me the best result with both the single and triple flame lighter (I use the vertigo venom torch with three flames in a row).I never used the quadruple one that @Schroedinger mentioned.

From my point of view the biggest difference between the single and triple torch is the difficulty level to retain good taste during a session. The first heat up gives me always great taste with both lighters. The biggest difference between the torches occur when I reheat.

The single lighter is forgiving if you heat one or two seconds longer: still awesome taste after reheating. With the triple lighter the taste of the herb can diminish if you heat one or two seconds too long; the herbs can taste "overcooked" even though no charring or combustion occurs.

What I wrote about the triple torch can be interpreted as a con, but the feeling of nailing a tasty session with the triple one adds something to the Vaponic experience: the feeling of succes :D

In short my experience: the single lighter guarantees a long tasty session, but it takes a while to extract everything. The triple torch reduces the heating time a lot, but it takes patience and experience to find the Goldilocks zone in terms of taste.

nothing more pleasant than to premiere the newly cleaned vaponico :sherlock: and it is so easy to repeat this experience; in 5 minutes cleaned vaponic at 100%!!

@Dutch-Mic , what are your thoughts on our flame reasoning (post #537)?

I use a simple flame at 75% of its power, I like to taste from the beginning until it finishes roasting my flowers :sherlock:, the taste so pure that the vaponic produces me I like to keep it as long as possible and for this a Simple flame helps to have more time to taste my flowers.

If I was in a hurry or my goal was just to medicate myself, I probably use the triple
