My birthday is getting closer and closer and VAS is kicking in. I'll probably go for the Plus. Hopefully it will be a version without any loose wood particles.

I just read all the thread (54 pages) !! :myday:

I'm ready to receive my brick this Monday (or so I hope :goon: ...)

I am very curious to compare it to the vaponic :hmm:, as soon as the wood flavor disappears ,but first I will have to play and practice a lot with the ... jis, jis, jis :science::evil:

How does the brick compare to the Vaponic? :)

I have a SBJ, the user experience is totally different. However, there are a few similarities:

- they both give you very pure tasting vapors
- the learning curve is about the same for both - not a beginner's vape
- vapors from both are pretty smooth

Differences are :

- SBJ is not stealth at all, I would not use it on the go
- IMHO the clouds are bigger with the SBJ
- bowl size is a lot bigger for the junior

my advice: do not choose, get both !!

Totally agree with @Whissmu both vapes are a must for any vape enthusiast!

How does the brick compare to the Vaponic? :)

I think I have little time with the brick to issue a fair comparison, but for now this would of my vaponic impressions regarding the brick;

advantages of vaponic versus brick:
- price of the same and its cheaper components
- Easiest parts to find
- purest taste
- micro-dose (of how many vapes I have this is the one that minor material consumes, almost in the line of Vapcap and vapman)
- more portable, more discreet and stealthy
- easier to clean
- not necessary butane quality, worth almost any heat source ..

advantages of brick versus vaponic:
- more fun sessions
- allows increased loading of medicines
- allows to be more personalized, different versions
- large and thick clouds
- great team behind the brand that participates in the forum
- it is very difficult to harm oneself or hard to hurt or get a burn in body human , with the vaponic is very easy ->the biggest burns I have received were with the vaponic (the hot glass sticks to the human flesh U_U

take into account that I have the vaponic for 2 years and the brick barely a week .. but I have had to punish myself and restrict the use of my sticky brick for addiction and increased consumption, it is now when one understands how sticky -> I literally want it on my hands every time ....

to finish... quoting the place that keeps each vape in my life; the vaponicl I use it to taste the flavor of each new strain or forgotten by my palate ... and brick when I have occasion to enjoy my favorite flowers

my advice: do not choose, get both !!

@Whissmu @Tiny88 Thanks for the solid info. I was thinking of getting a SB, too, however, am undecided between SBj (+WPA) or Hydrobrick - any suggestions there?. How is your SB with microdoses (what is the minimum amount that works nicely?) Do you taste the butane due to the direct heating? With the vapocane (for example) I can taste the difference in direct/indirect heating.
About the addiction/tolerance, I have this issue with the vapocane already, as it seems to screw my tolerance (due to the strong hits).

@Dutch-Mic good luck with your next attempt with a vaponic plus. Maybe order with Solwe directly - I have very good experience with their support service (had an issue with the vapocane, the retailer could/would not resolve and they then took care of it).

I don't have a Hydrobrick so I can't comment on that... however with the SBj I fill up the bowl, so with micro-dosing it is totally possible as you can just come back and vape occasionally you don't need to use up the bowl at one time. I don't taste the butane, but I think a vaponic will give a more pure flavour profile. How you draw on the junior will determine how big of a hit you get, so its mainly trail and error. I have attached @SneakyPeteVaporizers video, it has some best practice regarding the SBj and it covers how to manage your draw the therefore the size of your hits.

Thanks for the comparisons @Whissmu (haha love the picture btw) and @Tiny88. Amazing that a €40,- vape tastes more pure than a Sticky Brick.
I'm a microdoser, so I would probably hit the Brick one or two times and later come back to it for more. The Vaponic plus would, in combination with my other vapes, probably fulfill all my vaping needs (cool and tasty vapor, easy cleaning, little chance of burning myself)...but I'd love to try the junior brick.

Good suggestion to buy it from Solwe directly @Schroedinger. That gives me also the chance to buy an extra silicone connecting piece, the only part only they sell.

To conclude my post, I found another review on YouTube:

finally Vaposhop has some decent Vertigo torches :) i've said it almost too often  but tose triple inline torches are perfect, no hot spots, 5-10s heat up...
https://www.vaposhop.com/vaporizer_...r-vertigo-venom-2-with-triple-wind-resistant/
imo main difference for the sticky bricks is the air that vaporizes the material consists of more CO2 and H2O than normal (should carry a bit more energy) but no burner is 100% perfect so there will be some small amounts of CO formed - maybe that's what gives it the 'harder hitting' signature...
To me it hits like a fat joint with almost no herbs in it (hard and short)... but have only tested it a few times

I bought a 3 package Vertigo Cyclone torch lighter on Amazon for about $24USD.

Vertigo and similar known brand torches in north america were hard to get in europe till now, we even have our own 'clone' brand names from china that don't get over to your side of the sea...
I also have a triangle triple, but i'm a efficiency geek - parts of the flame go unused along both sides with that arrangement, 3 in line are better ;)
Btw anyone has ever seen a 4 flame in line torch ?

After I found the vapor to contain a slightly weird taste with the Vapocane and the direct heating method (similar to the SB), I tried it with an empty bowl and then the taste was clearly there and I felt a bit lightheaded - probably due to the increased CO2/CO components. Don't know if the taste can be attributed to the heated air.

I was planning to take the advice from @Schroedinger to order a plus from Solwe directly...until I found a tiny discount coupon for the plus at a webshop. And it's (finally) a version without any wood particles issues

Really love this vape. The taste is outstanding and it's the perfect microdose vape due to the small chamber. I rotate now between the Vapcap M (quick medicinal hits), the plus (connaisseur sessions) and the Vapman (lovely sedative high). Guess my VAS has almost ended...only the TI Woody S is on my wishlist..at the moment.

About lighters, I ordered the vertigo venom 2 lighter @Used2use recommended, and it probably arrives tomorrow. The 4 flame lighter functions probably as good as the Vertigo, but some people in the Vapcap thread mentioned that the 3 flame lighters works better with the Vapcap.

@Dutch-Mic great that it worked out for you. With a powerful torch, it is the vape for microdosing: I sometimes stretch out a 0.06g load throughout an entire afternoon: Heat it up in 8 secs, take 3-4 puffs, screw it together and repeat as needed (I even found myself walking around having the V+ clipped to my T-shirt collar ;) ).

@Whissmu Yes, this can't to be emphasized enough! Without much hassle you can clean it to a brand new state with zero residue. Plus you get a free oil session when cleaning it ;). For hash I use the screens, so nothing to clean there - for the kind of micro-dosing session I mentioned above, this is perfect, as hash tends to keeps its taste longer than flower.

Hopefully nobody asked for your pen to write something down :p

The jetlighter arrived today according to my girlfriend. Can't wait to get home after a long workday and test it!

Edit: Triple torch works very well, thanks for the recommendations!

Hey guys,

How do you clean your vaponic? Is it possible to make it look like new after I've used it for just 6-7 times? It's already become quite brownish on the inside glass. I've tried it with 70 % isoproanol but it's still dirty.

What I forgot to mention: before you go about with alcohol, slowly heat the inner tube from bottom to bowl and let the oil run into the bowl. Then either put some fresh herbs, leaves or some cotton into it and enjoy a hard hitting oil session.

Thanks guys I managed to make it look like almost new :D.
Does any of you have a comparison to the vapcap? I'm really considering buying one of these and see myself how it compares to the vaponic as I feel like the vaponic looking quite too much like some kind of crack pipe.

Get the Vaponic Plus if you want to avoid the crack pipe association. I have a vapcap M, Ti-Woody-S and Omnivap and use them only when I need something unbreakable or as backup. Taste with vaponic is much better and you have unrestricted airflow.

I totally agree with @Schroedinger the vapors are little harsher and warmer with the vapcap vapes, IMHO I feel the vaponic produces much purer flavor. However other than the vapcap og you can't beat it on ease of use (respecting the click) and durability. I rarely take the vaponic out of the house in case of breakage, where as with the vapcap this is not an issue.

If you are in need for a sturdy and small vape, I would recommend getting the VapCap M as an unbreakable for a night in town when effect beats taste (although I usually still bring my Vaponic Plus). You can drop it as often as you like then. I have to say, though, that from an asthetic point of view, I like the OmniVap with the Cocobolo body.
