Thank you

And don't be sorry, it is probably not obvious and I was going to talk about it.
As
@passenger guessed, the mod is first and foremost aesthetic. It's still a vapman.

I've always seen the vapman as something close to jewelry tradition and craftsmanship, I wanted to emphasize this aspect.
It does impact the function but not dramatically. Let me explain.
There's a point in almost all my vapman's sessions where the device is at its cruising temperature and, especially with the click, I cannot take a 20 seconds hit without choking on hot vapor. I find myself enjoying taking two, maybe three, shorter hits before reheating. I wanted to extend that temperature window allowing to toke like if it was a pipe.
The gem is a sapphire so it makes the bowl heavier and it somehow retain heat for longer. I won't call it a thermal battery but more of a heat buffer. In practice you have to apply more heat, more aggressively especially for the first hit, but when it's going it's going ! I can take up to 5 satisfying tokes before I need to reheat.
Once it's cruising you don't need to be that much agressive with the torch and I found myself riding the line of combustion more easily.
Of course you need calories to heat the gem, so this mod defeat the incredible fuel efficiency of the vapman. But so does the click in regard to the OG.
Be aware that the discs are now completely off. With the mod they click once, then I drive manually the whole sesh and it click back when I empty the bowl. (Except when I'm greedy and taking too much hits, it can click back before the end.)
All in all it's still a vapman, with a slightly modified heating curve and probably less reheats over the whole sesh'.
You're too kind my friend. Let's call it a gem vape if you will...

others have pioneered this way before, as strange as it may look, I think Vapvana has a lot to do with this vapman modification.
