Vapman

Did an experiment with the Vapman Click today. I have a new strain in. Described as a cerebral daytime strain. Yesterday I vaped two Convector XL bowls of this strain. It gave me a clear, energetic, focused high. Made me want to exercise, and I was highly productive at work.

I decided to measure out two CXL bowls of the same strain, but use with the Vapman Click today, and I have a couple of observations.

Firstly, the Vapman Click gave the strain heavy sedative effects. My eyelids were heavy and often closing by the time I was half way through the experiment. There is a sort of meditative clarity to Vapman's signature. However the stoned body effects were very upfront and not subtle.

Secondly, the Vapman Click is incredibly efficient, as I had to stop the experiment with two bowls left to go. I'm simply too medicated to continue.

I knew vape signature plays a role in effects. I just didn't realise a conductive vape sig can be so profound a variable that it can completely change a strains characteristics.

I won't be using Vapman Click during a workday again. I didn't find it conducive to productivity. The Vapman high makes me feel like I should be meditating, listening to music, eating etc. Not when you want to get stuff done. It's a real R&R vape imo.

I think I will start using the Vapman Click for my Sunday morning wake and bakes however.

Hey friends,

I came across FC late in my vaping journey but since then, I've been thinking continuously to the various ways we use to heat our favorite flower. Numerous drawings and sketchs went to the trash early. Most of them were too costly to prototype or their function was too uncertain to take the risk. It was mostly a (highly) compulsive behavior that makes my wife laugh at me and my stoners hobby...

The vapman have been my first vaporizer and a companion for more than a decade. It is the one that made me quit smoking definitely and more importantly it taught me to enjoy the flower in more pure and refined ways. I've always seen the vapman as a perfectly crafted and designed device. It's probably why my high compulsions never brought me to think around this device… until the advent of the click.

With the vapman click, Michael and David broke a taboo. They opened my mind about the possibility of modifications. I realize now how clear it is that the first work I'm sharing with you is about the vapman. But the OG remains untouchable, only the click is the subject of the modification I'd like to present to this board...

Although I will never pretend to have close to René's skills, I hope I didn't betrayed the essence of the vapman, designed and masterfully crafted like a piece of jewelry. Staying true to the vapman roots, this device has been modified in the Alps.

My wife is still laughing btw…

Cool project friend 🤩

I just have to warn you that these corundum gemstones are quite susceptible to thermal shock and are rather easy to crack from direct torch heating or any sudden direct changes in temperature. That’s why gem vapes always buffer their heating through another material first.

Cheers and best of luck on your journey 😮‍💨

Thanks for the kind words Ryan !

I actually did try some others gemstones, including cubic zirconia that would crack open after one to three heatings.
And indeed, thermal expansion coefficient of Al2O3 is actually lower than ZrO2. (Source).

Keep in mind that this is intended to be used with a vapman torch, not a big shot !
Also we're not dropping scorching hot gems into room temp water here. Rise in temperature is long enough and the bowl being copper it acts like a heat radiator. I had the table of the gem perfectly polished so the heat transfer is optimal. (And light reflects on the gold underneath).

My personal unit have been through multiple sessions a day over the past month plus quite a few more empty test heatings with absolutely no issue so far.

If I ever sell any of those and the gem would fail I would either replace the gem or replace the bowl with a regular one and add a partial refund for the price of the gem on top of that. But I'm pretty confident I won't sell many and that they won't crack !

Cheers Ryan, your kind thoughts honors you.

productive
Vapman make super productive effects with strains that in full-convection vaporiser, like TM or Tempest will be too psychedelic for work (Jack Herer, Sky Master, Apollo 11).

The same level of productivity you will get if you will choose:
1. for Vapman - super-energetic strains.
2. for full-convection vaporisers - mid-energetic strains.

But if you want combine productivity with creativity - “super-energetic strain” is the criteria for search.

Strains, that I got very productive effects with Vapman:

1. Amnesia - memory problem and avalanche of new thoughts create “stream of consciousness” by using voice-recorder.

2. Sky Master - combinator of solutions, work horse, volcano of variations.

3. Jack Herer - show whole picture with all details - create connections between unexpected thoughts.

4. Mimosa - secretary on speeds - prefer invent brilliant techniques just not work.

5. King Tut - work horse, like to organise everything.

6. Pink Lemonade - strain for deep thinking, for monumental problems, not so productive, but gets brilliants.

7. Pancake Ice - mdma-style problem solving, self-analyse-procedure strain.

For more pronounced effects the best way is to stay on the same strain around 4-5 days and then move to another strain.
No mixing strains.

If you make collection of 5-6 strains on rotation you also will benefit from zero-tolerance control.
With 5 strains I move from 15mg for bowl on 1st strain to 25mg on 5th strain.
After 5th strain I make break from weed for 1 week, and I again on dose of 15 mg, that get me out of space.

A few years ago the mflb glass stem was considered the best option for the Vapman. It is no longer available. Is there an alternative today?

In my perception, it reduces the airflow.

Have you seen the latest invention?

Maybe a response to the overheating problem, but not the kind of development I wish for Vapman.
One came with my Click, I think. I haven't tried it--it slipped my mind I think. I do have one or two that get pretty hot as you go along, though...

How many vaps could a Vapman vap…
Yes, the Click can get pretty hot when reheating. After years of René explaining why wood is the best insulator, silicone is a bit of a shame.
Ehh, not really a shame. Just an option for those with soft hands :p. There isn’t really a whole lot of options for making the wood less hot so I think silicone was a good choice. Do I think it’s necessary? Definitely not. The ones I have, have sat in a drawer since receiving the beta model.

To me it's like getting a printed scoop or something, not really something I'd look for but a nice gift to have to try out. I don't think it's necessary for most of them but the Kotibe and I think the Zebrano can get pretty hot on 2 sides of the grain. No fault of the construction, just dense woods. I'll have to try it out just for the heck of it.

Hey guys, are there any videos for how to use the vapman 2 (OG)? Aiming to try it with hash too..))
Have you been successful, with your hash-sesh?
I‘d recommend Tabletop-Lee‘s vid on Vm with hash. I tried it and it works well for me.

I use my Vm almost exclusively with hash and always through water.
My setup is nearly the same like Lee‘s, 250ml and 500ml roundbottom laboratory flasks with hose and mouthpiece.
I find it the best way to dial in the sweet spot of heating, as you can see the vapor eveloping in your glass piece.
As a starting point, i heat in four cycles, hand held: 3 sec, 3 sec, 3 sec and 4 sec.
Then i put it into my bong, and give it short extra heatings to keep the heat or to drive it carefully to it’s sweet spot.
I just had a great sesh with some Charas, my wife and me produced during the last harvest.
💨😍😋😮‍💨🫠

I LOVE THIS! It works really well and helps my grip with the Click...it came with the Beta testing and I was and still use it. Of course other materials would be great as well...but, this really does help. I just bought another one too. I am glad that its on the website...the more accessories for Vapman the better...
