Love my new Rise! Got my "Ultimate 2.0" a few days before Xmas (on my birthday!), soaked the hoses, and within 15 minutes, had it fired up with 3 hoses and got everyone BAKED real good

Everything looked and worked exactly like the videos I watched, with the notable exception of the balloons/bags. The Rise 2.0 uses these simple bags with a small opening and endcap. They are filled by just inserting a whip hose into the end and filling. That's it. None of the multiple parts and what looked like a real operation to get the bags attached to the adapter in the 1.0 version. So in the 2.0, there really is no separate bag adapter at all - just uses the single hose adapter, a hose, and a bag. The new "Ultimate 2.0" came with all 4 hoses and 3 bags.

Don't know how well the bags actually work, but tonight we have a big group so we're gonna give it a try. But I've never use a bag before. Biggest question is how much to put in the bowl for a bag? How long does bagged vapor stay vapor? How many hits per bag - or really - how many people per full bag? I know I'll figure this all out myself, but if anyone has any helpful advice, I'd sure appreciate it!

I've done 4 sessions so far and really like the fan with the multi-whips, in fact, without the fan, "hookah mode" really wouldn't work well cause we'd be creating negative air pressure on the open hoses (sucking in air instead of vapor). So at a minimum, you need "some" fan in this mode, even if it's set on 1. For our sessions, 2 seemed to work best, and anything higher seemed to be a bit too much for most people.

We also tried it in single whip mode, and for that I think we all preferred the "no fan" option. That produced some very thick vapor. With the fan off, I think you can regulate the hit a bit better.

The other thing we've not tried is the oil can. Would wax work in this, or does it really want "oil"? I guess anything that would melt would work.

Thanks again for all the great info and advice!

Had a fantastic post-Christmas gathering of friends and put my new Rise through it's paces.

Everyone loved hookah-mode, and we had all 4 hoses going. Everyone was somewhat amazed at how vaked we were on what was relatively small amount of herb. In fact, I am VERY impressed with it's overall herb efficiency, but even more so after trying balloon mode.

None of us had ever used a balloon (though it seems more like a "bag"), so we had no expectations. We loaded a small bowl (3 scoops), temp at 380F, hooked up the bag using one of the hoses, and cranked the fan up to 7. The manual says 6-9 is for bag filling, and 7 seemed just fine. A few minutes later, the bag was full of fluffy white vapor. We detached it, handed it off, and started up another bag. In total, we got 3 full bags - so that's like 1 scoop each.

All I can say is WOW. I have never had a tastier or more effective vaping experience. It was cool (no sense of heat at all), tasty, and thick. The experience was downright psychedelic :peace: I think it's the most stoned I have ever been - and my timeline goes back to 1975.

All of us agreed that it was the best vaping session any of us have ever had.

Sounds like a GREAT time! Glad you are liking the Rise. I like using bags as well. I probably haven't had the whips attached to mine more than two or three times.

Enjoy!

New member here. Received my VapirRise 2.0 yesterday and I have one problem in using it that maybe someone here can assist me with. I sent a similar note to Vapir and to the company I bought the unit from but they won't get back to me for a few days.

My problem involves using the hot chamber grabber. Basically the way things stand I can barely use it to unattach the herb chamber from the adapter chamber (the part that screws into the unit) and re-attaching a hot herb chamber is impossible using the hot chamber grabber.

In the how to videos the version used is the previous generation not the latest one and the herb chamber on those has a protruding ring at the base of the chamber which I assume gives you something to grab onto when using the grabber.

The newer versions of the Rise use a different herb chamber, one that is completely smooth and with no protruding ring at the base. I'm don't know if the grabber was re-designed for the latest version, but the grabber that came with mine is impossible to use, it just doesn't grab anything. I wonder if mine came with the grabber from the previous version or if it is just a design defect. The way things stand now I will have to use a towel to remove and re-attach the hot chamber. I am depressing the tabs on the side as far as they will go and inserting the grabber using various depths of insertion makes no difference, the thing just doesn't work.

I am sure that given how well the device is designed that the grabber is supposed to work or at least be somewhat functional.

Having used it just once yesterday and being fairly new to vaping, I can say that we did one small bowl of pretty strong "material" using the whip and it was very effective. Didn't need more for the rest of the night and didn't use much and haven't dialed it in properly so no complaints on that front.

The unuseable grabber is really annoying though.

Hoping someone can weigh in.

If you use the "grabber" and tilt it, the herb chamber just snaps off and falls into the grabber.

The grabber also works as a stand if you want to remove the top with the herb chamber still attached and that allows it to cool down faster.

But even unattached and sitting in the grabber, you can't really handle it to do a quick reload of a hot chamber cause you are right, the grabber doesn't seem to work that way. It's not so much a "grabber" as it is a heat resistant container.

I considered getting another herb chamber for $15 so I could snap off a hot can and have another one ready, but by the time I'm ready to use it again, it's cooled down. In fact, after having just used it for 4 people, no one was ready for a re-load for a good long while :D

A 2nd chamber and even another adapter that that screws into the chamber so it's packed and ready to go might not be a bad idea. I might be using small amounts and in that case you might have to unscrew it to stir things up a bit to get the most out of the bowl. That's when you are handling it alot it seems although I only used it once and was very "medicated" lol.

On mine even tilting it doesn't do much because the grabber doesn't grab anything even with the tabs on the side fully depressed. Someone I know said they used a silicon pad and it worked great to remove the hot chamber.

Solomon I just tried your method to detach the chamber from the adapter and it worked really well. I guess I was trying to use the adapter to lever off the chamber instead of using the top part and twisting it off at an angle like you suggested. The silicon pad might be good for getting a better grip and for re-attaching a hot chamber, although I have not used it myself but someone else has and they liked that method.

I have a friend who uses concentrates (mostly wax) who wants to come by and try out my Rise with the "oil can". What temperature do I use to vape wax?

(Okay, let me first apologize if the answer info is already out there - but I've looked and looked and haven't seen it.)

I was looking over the quick start guides by Vapir, and the 1.0 unit seems to insert the bowl prior to heating, and the 2.0 unit seems to want the unit pre-heated before attaching the bowl. The FC reviewer above (queerfermadness) says the bowl needs to be pre-heated for 3-5 minutes - and I assume he means a loaded bowl - is this after the unit has reached temp?

Is the procedure to pre-heat the unit to temp, prepare the bowl (heating chamber), insert the bowl into the unit, and then pre-heat some more before using?

Yes, I know, I have probably over-complicated this entire procedure...:bang:

i heat up the unit to the desired temp for myself 385-390F and fan setting of 3 BEFORE putting the bowl in. then when at temp drop the bowl in, twist & up fan speed to 6 or 7. wait just a few seconds, literally less than 15 seconds, until you see the vapir rising up. quickly pop the balloon on (or whip/s) crank up the fan to full speed and you have good thick vapor ready to go in just shy of three minutes time:tup:. need to mention i grind my flower finer than most. i ended getting the best results not from "made for grinders" but rather a simple cheap coffee grinder of all things. to each their own it's just how i have found to be the best way for my needs. i get from a 1/2 filled bowl a good three balloons full of vapor. i probably could bump up the temp some and get one more out but i don't like how harsh that makes the vapor. besides the abv goes into vodka for tincture anyway so it isn't like i am wasting anything. hope that helps some.

I have to agree - it's pretty quick. I don't pre-heat the unit, but in about 2-3 minutes, it's vaping like a fiend!

I tried some wax using the "oil can" last night and it didn't work out so well - but there is hope! Basically, we put in about 5-6 dabs worth (I don't do concentrates, but that's what he said). It was hard and sticky so we basically just got some smeared on the sides as best we could. Cranked the unit up to 420F, and waited for some vapor.

After about 7-8 minutes of nothing, we gave up and went back to some herb.

So this morning I was getting ready to clean out the oil can (he had already scraped out his dabs as best he could), and noticed quite a bit of residue. Last night's session didn't vape, but the wax did melt and end up on the bottom of the can. I decided to heat it up in the Rise and see if I could burn it off. I just set it at 420F again and went back to some computer work.

At approximately 12 minutes, vapor started pouring out of the unit!! I couldn't believe it. I didn't even have a hose attached...heh. So I quickly attached a whip and proceeded to vape that little bit of wax for the next 10 minutes - at least 12 good clouds. Damn, that stuff worked.

So my assessment - and anyone with more experience please chine in - is that we made 2 mistakes. First, we probably put in too much wax, and we all know it takes a big pot of water a lot longer to boil than a little pot of water. Second, we weren't patient enough. Once it starts vaping, it goes like crazy, but we didn't wait and gave up.

Soooooo.......I am hoping to try again this week if I can get my friend to sacrifice some more of his precious concentrate.

Yet, it's not one of your vaporizers of choice. What is the criteria for chosing one over another: I use my solo over my NO2 if I'm vaping in one room relaxing; if I'm walking around the house or property (cleaning or gardening) it's the NO2. I notice your SSV is your go to desk top. Is it that much better than the others?
Also, if you can have only one desktop and one portable what would it be? Finally, if you had to choose one from the two, what would it be.

I'm just interested in what others think is their favorite and why?
Mine would be the Rise 2.

Yet, it's not one of your vaporizers of choice.
It is one of my vaporizers of choice.
I use it 3 times a week at minimum.
The SSV is my idea of a no frills vapor tool, in which the user has no settings or timers or considerations other than the temperature (which is set by "feel" rather than by a number or delineation) and the speed of the draw. It is basic and powerful... and it is controlled 100% intuitively, therefore it can make a proficient Vaporist of almost any user.
The Rise guides and directs a patient in a more user friendly fashion, due to clear cut directions and distinct temperature settings.
I am hard pressed to make a choice between vapes at this time!

A quick question: Why doesn't the Vapir Rise v2 get more love?
In short, because its made by Vapir and most people on this forum have a negative opinion of Vapir. Many absoultely hate Vapir's older (outdated but still produced) models. While I adored my NO2 and still love using it given the opportunity, (I gave it away to a smoker) many disliked it because of the design, aesthetics, and taste of the brass chamber.

IF Vapir designed a new vape that fit my usage I would be all over it because unfortunately the Rise isn't for me. It does however seem to be a good alternative to the Extreme Q, Arizer V Tower, Herbalair maybe, etc... I wish it would get recommended more as to sway public opinion of a company which I believe really focuses on the functionality of their products.

This made me remember that my dude-man has a Vapir Rise and I've never used it... what's wrong with me? Next time I pick up I'll be sure to test it out.

with the new bag system it looks way easier than the 1.0 question: does the new bag have a shut off valve or do you have to hold a finger covering the mouth piece opening?

You have to either use your finger or the screw-on cap that comes with each bag.

As for easy...it's beyond easy. I especially like the ability to fill bags using a long whip so I don't have to hover over the Rise itself. However, the bags are not very big (no where near as big as those Volcano bags), but they are quite thick. Should last a good while, and aside from them eventually becoming grungy, you'd have to work hard to put a hole in one.

A relatively small bowl will fill several bags (the 2.0 comes with 4), which is also kind of nice when you have a few people. I fill a bag, pass it around, while filling the next bag. I've had 4 people hitting bags (while I casually puff on the whip...heh).

I love my Rise so much, I just bought one for my daughter in hopes she will fucking-stop-combustion and only vape. Her lungs will feel a LOT better, and her house will smell a LOT better too.
