It's not often I throw out the word "best" but this is hands down one of the best products I have used. Simply incredable. It will easily pay for it self. I just wish I could get smaller ELB's.

Hey, I finally decided to take the plunge too and preordered today! I live in Greece... I hope it won't be a problem when I will be notified for ordering... There was no country field in the pre-order form so... :p

^^ high?! Could you reduce the bowl size by putting a stainless mesh false bottom in? Maybe the vxc crew could get some cut exact so you could custom bowl size and they wouldnt have to worry bout tooling up to produce different sized bowls..
High SM55 im employed again! Woot! Expect an email brother!!!

oh ok, that makes sense. i would have thought that if the vxc crew were able to ship usps, they would have let us all know that by know, as its been requested multiple times.

I feel like there is an easy solution for this. leave room on the outside of the foam for the cord to go around the perimeter? or just cutout more foam next to the cloud for the cord to make everything "snug"

The issue is there is no more room to pluck foam. The foam you see between the cloud and the hydtratube (only 2 squares wide) and the foam near the GONG joint is the only foam left I haven't plucked. The hydratube is max length this case can handle, all the foam is plucked to fit it length wise, doesn't leave many options for the Cloud and its cord.

Pardon me for interrupting but there's a question i should have asked a few dozen pages ago i guess: it's something about the internal structure of the vaporizer... I just can't figure out for sure, solely judging from the photographic material i've found available via this forum so far. I'm thinking if the top is hot enough to vaporize cannabis what about the bottom?... I was under the impression that the Cloud had the shape of a hollow cylinder but if that's right then what's protecting the furniture's surface from intense heat? Since the hollow tube has openings on both ends: top and bottom.

Another item on my mind has to do with using twin temperature sensors to measure movement, which implies airflow could be accounted for in digital form... I wonder how close we are to see such a feature in future vaporisation appliances; after all, components only represent a fraction of a product and hence it's no bid deal to use 2 thermocouples where there already was 1 previously. Correct? so, i suppose should airflow sensing turn out to be a desirable option, eventually, then perhaps the manufacturing cost won't cause significant concern and then the customers (us) can hope to get this one upgrade for free!

While i'm around, lets say the whole side-strip on the main body lacks esthetical qualities, IMHO:

Something has to be done about it!!! No doubt things will improve during regular production, hopefully...

Excuse me if this has been answered already, seems like such a simple question it must have but I couldn't find it searching. Are the ELBs made of stainless steel? I would assume they are but they seem to cool down very quickly, which isn't characteristic of stainless steel.

Actually some of us are more into function than form and this vaporizer functions very efficiently. the heat has never been a problem for me.(9 or 10) top or bottom even the metal. mine has been sitting on my wood desk without any apparent damage.

A Vertigo HT will NOT fit in that case without putting it diagonal, FYI.

Im the one with the 520. Stellar case and if you did the foam in a smart manner, you could fit the cloud, a grinder and probably 3 tubes in it. Its not overly huge tho.

I suspect the look is intentional. The Cloud has a sorta retro sci/fi look to it, like a spaceship in one of those Roger Corman '50's flicks. I like it.

I suppose it's also first one in Europe, mine is on the way.
(how long did it take to come from California?)
And what kind of electric outlet do you have in France ? 220V too ?
If it's this one(link) ?Could you please tell me which kind of inverter do you have.

thanks
who , 10 days and more than 20 pages ...great ! :D A bit late to get back to you, I guess you have your Cloud by now. For the story I had to had mine shipped to www.shipito.com then shipped to France. took like a week. I indeed use an inverter. The Cloud draws 85 watts FYI. Not so much for a such a nice vape. And no, not the first in Europe eventhough I thought I was the first one in queue two years ago :) .

I will try to be back with a short review eventhough I think that pretty much all the pros and cons have been extensively described. But in a few words, I love my Cloud !!
This vape fits perfectly in my collection and I have a nice rotation going on with the Cloud/LSV/SSV.

Hey kids, I got my Cloud yesterday. Used it last night, and I'm going to put it through some tests this morning. After that I will write an unbiased, non-fanboy review.

Alright, I am ready to review MY cloud.

First of all, I have been vaping exclusively for 2 years. My main machine is the EQ, but I have used a Hotbox, PD, HA, and MFLB. I always vape through glass. I am a firm believer that no vaporizer is perfect, and all do things differently.

That said, I received my Cloud yesterday after waiting since 11/10. I guess I ordered the SG tube but got the in-house tube instead since there are no more of what I ordered.

So, I got home from work and my son had already peaked inside the box. My first impression was the unit was well built and heavier than I expected. It has a nice feel in your hand. As I was inspecting it, I noticed that some of the finish was rubbed off on the back. Here is photo:
img3761a.jpg

Yea, so I guess it's not big deal, but it kind of bothers me, to be honest.

OK, on to the glass. Now I LOVE nice glass. I love scientific glass with no label, or discreet label (for example- I hate Vertigo or Roor labels, but Mobius is OK). So, I as I said I ended up with the house tube, wich was fine since I didn't want the Vertigo. It's very heavy glass and quailty. Quality glass, that is - not quality workmanship. The perk is way leaning to one side. I mean really leaning. You might be able to see it from this photo:
img3762ax.jpg

See how it is leaning to the left? If I had bought this from ALT I would send it back. If I saw this at my LHS, I would not buy it. It DOES work great, though- more on that later.

So, right away, there are 2 things bugging me about this unit. Next I loaded the bowl with some OG18 and let the unit warm up for about 10 minutes. I did smell something as it was heating up, but it wasn't bad, and I didn't care. I dropped the bowl in and put the tube on top.

That first hit was SOO tasty. It was not a huge cloud by any means, but tasted amazing. As I took more hits, and the unit got hotter, the clouds were denser and thick. Really nice. I will say that the Cloud does get pretty hot after a while. The screws get hot as well as the top. Not a big deal though, by any means. I left it on so I could try ti again, but I was so medicated that I didn't get around to using it until it had shut itself off. Nice feature.

So all evening I tried it out with different strains such a Super Lemon, and Pineapple. Loved every hit and just so tasty I was floored. This morning I got up and loaded it with my morning medicine - White Widow. I played around with how much I loaded into the bowl, and the Cloud performed great with any amount. I have the bowl 1/2 full and have been hitting it the whole time I write this. Really, really nice.

So, in conclusion:

This is by far the best vaporizer ever. I was wondering how well it would stack up against the EQ, and it kills it. It doesn't kill it so much that I am retiring the Q, but it does kill it. I use the Q downstairs in my lab, and the Cloud is my bedroom vape. I had been looking for something for the bedroom that vaped well enough for great sleep medicating. I found it.

The scratch on the back does not bother me, in fact I will probably hit it with a sharpie or some black paint. The hydracirc really does bother me. I mean, it works great and I am glad mine doesn't leak, but come on! It also seems to already be getting some crud at the top of the circ. I don't know if it's because of the design, or maybe due to the awesomeness of the Cloud. Anyway, will need to be cleaned a LOT! :) BTW, none of my 18mm glass works well due to the joint being to close that Cloud doesn't really fit right. I am going to have to pick up an elbow from ALT.

It extracts really well. I had the dial slightly past 12:00. The ABV is dark brown, and as I said- it grunges up the tube really fast. I am going to go out and get some 91%.

So - SM, Troi, and all... great job. This thing rocks. I would concentrate more on QC, however. I know some people would not accept the leaning tower hydrocirc, and others would not even notice. I fall somewhere in the middle. All in all, great product and if it holds up, it will be money well spent. I can't wait for more glass tubes for this baby!!
