Nah. I used to let it heat soak real good. Too lazy. Then I got used to pulling the bowl of Herbie between hits and it just felt natural to yank the elb.
Beat me to the punchHappy Halloween . . .
Do you have the vxn? Because IMHO if you did you would not have made this comment because it is NOWHERE near the same. Once again JMHO.Yeah, like don't go all out and buy some super nice VXnails expecting a revelation off of hitting reclaim alone, but i would reclaim the stuff and just load it on top of the weed in an elb, always nice to throw some stuff on top as it'll melt through the rest of the bowl and hit quite nicely.
even if you have access to concentrates i would still just crank up the evo's temp and do some elb dabs or throw some stuff on top of some weed to get a feel for it - the VXnail experience is similar enough you can infer from that IMO how it might be to dab the same stuff with a VXnail
Switched it off, left it a few minutes, turned it back on, and now its back to normal. I checked the bamboo for cracks and dont find any, its not combusting, seems to working normal. Anyone seen this happen before?
THAT is where my issue lies. We all need to be responsible when offering advice, or note it as pure speculation.
Switched on my EVO this morning and something which i've never seen happened. It lit up red so i thought all was good and it was heating up. Come back 10 minutes later and the red light is now flashing, no green light with it, just the red light, and the EVO is still cold. Switched it off and back on and it repeated this action once again. Switched it off, left it a few minutes, turned it back on, and now its back to normal. I checked the bamboo for cracks and dont find any, its not combusting, seems to working normal. Anyone seen this happen before?
I haven't had this happen with my Evo, but it did happen a couple of times with my OG ticker Clouds. I was told that the unit won't heat up if the ambient temperature is too cold (don't remember what temperature that was, though). I'm guessing that since the overall design is similar, they programmed the same "feature" in both devices. Not sure if this is the case for you, but this is exactly what happens when the evo's is a little too cool which fucks with the evo's little computer brain and gives it an error. It happened when I first recieved my evo in the winter, unboxing it within minutes of it finishing it's chilly fedex journey. After it got to room temp it was A-OK.
I couldn't agree more with this. Here's a thought that just randomly popped in my mind...
Vapexhale seems to have a bit of an aversion to accurately discussing heat up time. I mean, I get that 10-15 minutes is a long heat up time for a lot of people. But there's a problem I see mostly with people who probably recieved their evo for free or cheap in exchange for a review. They get puny hits because they haven't read up as much on the evo and are probably not giving it a proper heat up (see Doug Benson and those 2 airheaded youtube bimbos). Given that this is just the devices basic functioning and not a mod or hack or any of that, shouldn't VXH make more of an effort to help people get the most out their vape? I know advertising a 5-minute heatup helps a bunch on the selling points but in the end it winds up selling the device short. Do any of the new evo manuals (do they come with one? I can't remember.) note that the heatup time should be longer for optimum functioning?
What do you guys think about this?
