@SD_haze you crack me up! I just hope they're not sold out in the time it takes you to re-order...

I've also got 2 vxnails on the way, courtesy of the 4/20 sale, and I CAN'T WAIT! It's been absolute torture since my beta vxnail broke. I really came to love that thing (not to mention my concentrates)!

But I've also had a nice surprise because, in the meantime, my backup EVO & Showercap HT from the 4/20 sale arrived. And I'll be damned if that Showercap HT doesn't get me significantly more medicated:whoa: than my Hydraline or Fanatic HTs. It uses so little water, the flavor is immense:drool:. I never bought the 'THC gets lost in the water' bit before, but now I'm thinking there's science behind it. I'm amazed.
Just about the perfect hydratube...except it's a real bitch to clean. That's obvious from the first time I filled 'er up. Gotta use a Shop-Vac to get all the water out (h/t @Vitolo ). No way around it that I can see. (Someone please inform me differently if I'm wrong!) This means I REALLY don't want serious build-up taking place in this HT, and THAT means daily GO/ISO rinses. So, :rant:dammit! But it's all worth it to have a quality bent-neck HT in my rotation. (Buy a bent-neck to prevent a bent-neck, that's what I say!)

ONE MORE TIME: SM55 &VapeXhale rule.

Had occasion to correspond with SM55 over the last week about an issue. SM55 himself acted most nobly to resolve the situation in my favor (of course) and in such a manner that I will also be getting "brownie points" from my wife.

So I just hit my evo twice on max, after it had been heating for 15 mins on max. the 15 minutes were timed from the moment the light switched to green. the elb was filled 1/4 way. i had to remind myself to start off slow, which makes me think i could have started out the other tries too fast. i got decent vapor, still not quite white wall. the way i started out could be a factor here. i did start off slow for the 2nd hit, but there was less vapor since there was less to extract. i did get darker vapor though, noticeably darker. more scattered than uniform throughout but there's some definite brown in there. i'm going to have to try this method a few more times before i make further judgement.

Question for you all, when you turn the unit off, do you flip the switch? or do you turn the dial to 0 first, wait for it to go green, and then switch off?

1) Seems like you've had some improvement. Different flowers do vape differently. Some strains release much more vapor than others at the same temps. Sometimes it's just the strain, sometimes it's lack of quality. If I have uneven AVB (already vaped bud), I will often shake the ELB between hits, and that usually evens it out.

2) I never switch the dial unless I want to change temps. I just click the unit on/off...toggling it on almost all the time when I'm home, and off when I'm away from home or sleeping. (still waffling on the WeMo, balking on the Belkin...you get the idea)

Ok, pulled the trigger on an EVO, EZ load bowls, and the standard mouth piece. I'll wait on glass to see how I like it with my D020. I'll read through these posts and see if there are any 'break-in' rules for when I get it.

what does it mean when its flashing red and green? ill find it doing that after a little while and have no clue why. I am too high to search for anything on the internet right now so a little help would be appreciated :D

Just means its "timed out". Its heater shuts off around 55 mins +/-.

Just click it off and back on and it'll start up again.

I imagine CO2 oil will work just fine, @aj0125 . It's essentially the same thing as BHO shatter, but uses a different Supercritical Fluid Extraction process that doesn't risk depositing heavy metals into the final product. I wish I had access to some!

If you look at the bottom of each of these beta vapexnails, you'll notice that all but one are crystal clear clean. This is what happens when they're 'burned' clean on MAX temp. Higher up on the nail, where the bamboo doesn't get it as hot, the nail stays dirty and a solvent or perhaps more mechanical method (like steel wool) is needed for complete cleaning...which @S1N3 alluded to in his post there. So these were used dozens upon dozens of times during the day, each time being 'combusted' or 'burned clean' before the next vaping, (obviously without the time for solvent soaks to clean the upper portion) They're just crazy dirty from how popular they were at the demo.

That's a REALLY good point @tepictoton . Though I certainly was right when I said, "I don't see why not,' having never owned an OG or Cloud+, I should have kept my mouth shut :cuss:, because my ignorance helps no-one!:disgust: Clearly, I forgot that the bamboo was redesigned for the EVO.:science:

YAYYYY MY EVO JUST ARRIVED!!! first initial thought was its amazingly lighter than the previous versions, the difference is a huge plus in my mind
i notice when i turn the dial instead of solid red it seems to be flashing red and green. I was under the assumption that it was solid red when changing temps, is this normal?
