Oh, shit, I stand corrected. I must have blinked or spaced out at the part where the kid was toking as I only saw the bubbler close-up. Had @Stu not referenced the vid where I had to watch it again, I'd never have seen. OK, my review revision: A+ quality appeal to millennials -- it's young, posh, upbeat. These kids are the 1st generation who will bring mj to the forefront of acceptability.

Stu, as I've never done a concentrate, how can you tell? I watched it twice. I did see the herb being filled, but can't tell any differentiation when putting the ELB in the Evo.

It's just a very very dense vapor cloud. Like what appears from concentrate.
Appears they have very favorable lighting also, to enhance the effects, as all the "wow" videos have good lighting. What do you think, natural lighting plus good artificial light?

Supplemental/ good lighting makes a HUGE difference. Microdosing with normal lighting equals almost invisible or invisible vapor. Add in my vape station "feedback light" and that same exhale looks like a huge cloud of vapor LOL
Commercial is well done to maximize the dense looking vapor.

One thing I didn't like was the fact that they loaded an ELB (presumably filled with flower) then show what looks to me to be an oil hit.

I can confirm that you do not need to be using concentrates to milk an Evo like in the commercial. And you don't need light tricks to do that effortlessly. Good quality flower, a 1/2 to 3/4 filled ELB, and I can do the same all day long. Not trying to brag or anything. You should be able to replicate those results with an Evo, no problem.
If you can't do that with your Evo, either 1)Lowe quality flower 2)Bad technique/user error 3)You have a defective/broken Evo.

When they rip the Evo in the commercial, I see it acting exactly how I would expect mine to work when I medicate.

MinnB, I don't think natural lighting at all. It very probable that they are filming on a constructed set & the translucent windows only have a white light shining in behind them to mimic daylight. This bright daylight window lighting coupled with the visual feeling of soft overhead incandescent drop ceiling lighting & the white & green foliage background gives a healthy, clean, greenhouse ambiance. The Millennials are in some ways similar to what preppies were back-in-the-day, but just more relaxed in life, so I think this commercial will resonate well with them. I'm sure Seibo spared no expense in creating this commercial. He's one smart cookie.

I'm just saying that there is a difference between a VXNail hit and a flower hit. With flower the hit takes a second or two to fully milk up whereas a nail hit comes at you with an instant wall of vapor. I thought I was stating something pretty obvious to everyone with my comment. I love CANNABIS (COLAS) BUDS if I can't obtain them.
I use the EVO QUARTS NAIL with ROSIN, however I keep a MOD and TANK full of good's on my night stand.

My WIFE doesn't consume CANNABIS, however she is cool with me loving it.
She bought me the EVO because she thought the STAINLESS BASKET'S were superior to GLASS.

First ever VXL EVO commercial. I wonder where it will air and you have to verify 18+ age to view the commercial here BUT where/how can they show it then???

One thing I didn't like, but is common in these types of vids, is the guy taking the hit didn't clear his mouth or throat....just stops with a mouthful of vapor so the money shot is thick and milky.

I see this on review vids also....and I wonder how stupid they think I am.

Do not misunderstand this post, its just a pet peeve.

I do love my EVO, had nothing but great service from VXH CS, and although I don't know him personally, I rather like Seibo from his tips vids.

Does the air path get dirty, if so do I use pipe cleaners to give them a clean? I know the Bamboo? ( is that the top piece where glass rigs sit?) Can be cleaned with iso and q-tips.
Does this thing combust if I leave a bowl with packed material for an extended period and does this thing combust in general if I dial the setting towards 4 - 5 o'clock?

In my experience you will combust if you turn the dial up too high. I don't go past 2 o'clock and my AVB is pretty dark. I think it's ok to leave the fresh basket in there for a while, it won't combust. I clean the hydrotube after every day's use but I don't really clean the evo air path besides turning the heat up to max and blowing through it for a while.

I've tried using mine with no water in the hydrotube for the first time (presiously always used water with my evo). It was amazing, still smooth but the flavour was the best. I might continue without water. Does anyone else find they prefer not to add water?

Looking for some advise on what type of set up would meet my needs for purchasing my EVO after my crafty shit the bed. I mostly do dry herbs and will start to get into concentrates. I've read that H2O could cause potency and flavor lose? Actually if Im correct to much H2O would cause flavor lose. Obviously I like potency, flavor, and big clouds I mean who dosen't. Would the Hydra base starter kit with the choice of base and hdratube be the way to go? Or would the hydrabase extra H2O be to much and take away from my needs? Ive read that for Dry Herbs a larger Hyratube is better like 5omm and a smaller precision tube 38mm is better for concentrates.
Also since the EVO has been around for a few years now which way is the trend going meaning is the hyrdabase set up kinda of out dated and more people going for the hydratube directly on top of the EVO unit.

HYDROTUBE's work well with a EVO.

If you get into CONCENTRATES the QUART'S NAIL'S are the TICKET.

EVO expose's the FLAVOR of the CANNABIS for sure!

Effect wise it's pretty powerful!

Water makes it full LUXURY!
Dry is not an issue however H2O is like a DECANTER for OLD WINE.

lol waynes world. Im just trying to figure out which glass would be best for bud and for concentrate with what EVO offers on there web site. example Swiss Tree,
HYDRABASE bomb or octa editions? Or is it not needed and just use the hydrotube with no base. There are so many types of glasses and need some insight on whats good for bud and concentrates. I'll defiantly opt for the quartz nails.
I wonder if they are due to come out with an updated EVO digital any time soon

I agree wholeheartedly. I have not used water with my EVO for over a year now.

All of my glass is now cleaned daily and used dry. IMO, water does very little apart from rob flavor. Just be prepared for the attacks on this forum! Although I am past the point of caring what other people think ;-)

I agree, I'm in the post-water camp as well.

More flavor, less mess, and the vapor is still plenty smooth.

I still prefer hitting the EVO dry with my hydrabomb rather than the standard dry mouthpiece. Perhaps the longer vapor path gives the vapor enough time to cool even without water?
