Well well..I now feel challenged to try EVO dry.
I'm pulling out my cheap HT and going to have it a go.

My whip smells of the legal herbs I tried while I was under drug tests so I never bothered with it.
I didn't keep my dry mouthpiece, I never liked it for some reason...anyway...lets see how good it taste, I would still prefer using water, I just know it

Its just my opinion, but the EVO is an herb vape that can do concentrates, but it ain't a Liger Banger, a D-nail Halo, or a New Vape Flower Pot wrap-around....all of which will do a better job with concentrates.

BUT, no you would need a water tool of some sort, coils, and controller so it is a significant investment.

Well seeing as I already have a 20mm barrel coil. I picked up the Liger 3.0. Only issue is they don't have any affordable inserts in stock.

I guess I kind of bought into the hype of the evo being a concentrate machine but now that i've plugged back in my enail + quartz bucket it's only slightly less efficient with the taste being so much better.

As I type though I have my Evo for herb warmed up on my right and my enail for wax on my left. I think that's a good combo as you don't have to adjust the evo if you want to switch cannabis types.

OK so...
I did use the EVO dry, man, that was a tasty vape, the thing is, that my limited turbine HT seems to be be so good, I can feel the taste almost as well as dry, and when using different HT's (cheap ones) - the taste is not even close.

Anyway, while enjoying a dry hit, taking a moist one right after is so much more for me, to each is own I guess

So I got my new accessory deck in the mail, so far it is good! Love the build quality and it has some sturdiness to it, which I really like. I do wish a few of the holes they drilled were slightly smaller so nails fit more snug and the pegs to hold up a hydra tube were thicker to really hold the tube but overall I enjoy the deck

So far so smooth. Water part gets dry before it gets dirty.

Been using the Lynx with a simple 90 and a 14/18 mm for a mouthpiece. The vapor hasn't ever been scratchy. I try to clean the underside of all the sticky so it doesn't work it's way into the slits that go into the air chamber in the bottom half.

When I get motivated I'll have a GLASS BLOWER reduce all my mouth pieces.
I hate BonG's and Bell type mouthpiece's.

Do you compare it by number of hits? if so, with water you can take bigger clouds so it would make sense.
But TBH, I think its the same.

I received a refurbished evo in the mail today. The bamboo seems to be a bit lower than my original one, so in other words, the basket goes lower, so you might think that it runs hotter, but the opposite is true. This refurbished evo works like my original evo did when I originally got it, before it was repaired.

So I am thinking that when my evo's bamboo was repaired, it arrived to me and I felt happy and all, but I did notice that the 12oclock position seemed a bit off.. I couldn't put my finger on it entirely. The 12oclock position on the temperature dial seemed like it was giving me some unevenly vaped material. I figured it was normal and that perhaps I just had never noticed before with my evo. Now, with the refurbished one, I think that the bamboo is loose and it can move up and down, not easily, but fairly easily, which means I am not sure what that means for the heater, perhaps it's closer than it should be to the materials or just not properly surrounding the bamboo, and as such, creates an uneven, but still satisfying vape. Though don't be fooled, a working properly evo is a lot better in effects, and flavour, than even a 85% or whatever, working evo.

So, they didn't ask me to send my original back. I sent an email asking if I can get it repaired as to have a second just in case one breaks again, then I'll hopefully always have one, if the other ever needed repair.

EVO = PHANTOM COOKIES = FUNNY however CIVILIZED?
@TboneToker when I sent mine in after I messed it up!
My EVO is DEVASTATING and like a new one.
FLAVOR is magic however real!

I still wrap my EVO with bubble wrap and put it back in the box every night. Keep the red cap on to keep dust out. The box is getting worn so I will need to find a case.

Still happy with the Lynx and not being as apprehensive to leave it on the EVO as long. But it does get warm. So only as long as necessary until I get my monies worth. Got a couple angled adapters for it. So I can vape and see the action.
Love all the convenience of it's size. Easy to keep clean. Get's dry before it get's dirty. So @ataxian Still tempted to get one? You've seen pics of it and have owned a range of pieces. What do you think of it?
