@Verax That HT has a recessed joint that is too deep for a good connection.
This is what you should look at when you are buying custom pieces with recessed joint for an EVO.
Some of them are just too deep and don't work.
This really shouldn't hapen with a HT as its made for EVO, but we've seen it happen few times.
Youshould return that HT and get a replacement.
@RobDaBomb That package sounds like a total failure.
A DOA EVO and a cracked leaking HT?
Definitely send it back for replacement or refund, no reason to keep that.
The deformed nail also doesn' look normal, but that shouldn't make any problems.
But your EVO and HT need to be sent back.
@Drew_de_Verdamper sorry to hear your problems persist. I can't realy think of any otren reason why it's doing that for you.
Maybe the last reason I can think of is that EVO is capable of tasting bad at very high temps and that is normal.
Let me explain - if you set a highest possible temp that doesn't yet combust on a different vape with less powerful and uniform heat...
...then it typically vapes a brown spot in the center (there it releases somewhat bad tasting high-temp vapor and is just below combustion).
...but the offcenter of the bowl gets blasted with a lower temperature and releases tasty vapor that makes the whole mix taste good.
In the EVO however, if you set a very high temp that is not far from combustion - every cubic milimeter inside of the bowl will be blasted with the same high temperature. So every milimeter of the bowl will release high-temp vapor and no tasty low-temp vapor to mix in and make it taste good. Also it makes the hit really powerful and milk up the tube, if you heat every part of the bowl uniformly just below combustion, you will also etract it all like in one big hit.
So yes, EVO (and OG Cloud does this too) taste bad on high temps - that's normal for weed when it get heated so completely like this yet not combust.
