Can anyone identify this hydratube for me? I bought it from a friend. Did I luck out and land an OG Hydratube, the straight neck type? I can't find this design anywhere on DHgate
Vaporblunt DLX 2.0 water tool with no label?

It doesn't look thick enough to be evolver glass. The splash guard is different also than the evolver circ 1.0. I have the evolver hydratree 1.0 and it is THICK.

Hey guys,

i have just finished my first session with the Evo and i have to say i am pretty impressed!
I will report a little more in detail tomorrow if someone is interested ;)

But. Here are my first impressions:
Both of the H.T.s (Turbine and HoneyComb) give me a super super smooth flavored vapor which i really liked a lot! And i have to tell: I only put 0.1 grams of dry herbs into the ELB and did 2 draws. And i got this wonderful vapor directly on the first draw, which is incredible because with my previous unit, i was not able to vaporize such a little amount of herbs in such a nice way. Simply a bliss right now!
Possibly one thing which could start to annoy me a little is that loud whistling sound the H.T.s produce when i inhale. Maybe the water level is not perfect, i took another photo and it would be very nice of you if you could tell me if the water level is correct.
Right now i think i could probably fill in more water but i am afraid of over-filling it.
Maybe you guys could advise me.
Here you can see them filled:

To briefly return to my question regarding the tubes:

I think you are right. Thanks Seek!
Maybe i just used the word wrong, i guess. So i think it is a little scratch and not a crack. I probably could clean that scratch by polishing it a little bit?

As you maybe can see on the picture: None of my 2 H.T.s are black/green.:D So not even the HoneyComb, which i assumed to be it would. So i guess i probably never will find out hehe but it seems possible for me that these H.T.s are from the old stock, because they have been exported and maybe that happened before that sale and these new stock H.T.s which were around recently, but i really can just assume and i have no plan at all :D

Happy weekend guys

The whistling is normal sadly. The turbulence in the bamboo (glass tube) causes the whistle when you hit peak resonance. Some people strap cheesecloth over the entrance to the glass on the bottom of the vape to help minimize it. But its not the HT's doing it, but the nature and design of the bamboo. I wish they would mention this somewhere in their online media. Many of their videos they conviently add music over it. Even many pro reviewers on YT don't mention or show footage of it whistling (which leads to me think they where told not to as part of the loaning condition) and I only saw it doing that when I watched videos of people who bought it and filmed themselves and started reading online about it here at FC.

The water level looks fine to me in the pic you sent from all the other media I've read. Just enough to cover the slits and create good bubbles is all you want. The Vapor is already clean, you just want to cool it a little. I'd maybe even splash a tiny bit more in there since it looks like it may not be totally covering the slits. But it looks fine.

I just got my HydraBomb Hydratube today and whenever i fill it nearly all the water falls down into the lower chamber. Has this happened to anyone else?

Maybe the water level is not perfect...
As has been said, it is the vaporizer, not the hydratubes that makes the whistling sound.
Some ways to get rid of it:
1) Put on the full-body heat-shield if you got one in your package.
It has velcro straps on the botom that can secure it over the bottom of the unit so it covers the intake and that can take out most of the whistle.
2) The unit is whistling only in a very narrow range of air speed going through it, so when you hear it, just pull a little faster or slower and it will stop.
3) If you put a little more water, it can make you pull a little slower, so it can help like the point 2 taking the comfortable speed of your draw out of the whistling range.

I've been with vapexhale since 2011 when they had their first OG HTs. And none of the HTs they ever had looked like this.
It is most similar to Evolver hydracirc 1.0, but has very different proportions. The Evolver one was shorter, had a wider bottom (perc and overflow guard) and a different splashguard. It also look similar to some custom HTs like the VB ones, but these are alos different.
So I don't know what HT that is, but it surely looks awesome. And i think it must be very nicely functional.

I just got my HydraBomb Hydratube today and whenever i fill it nearly all the water falls down into the lower chamber. Has this happened to anyone else?
...
I don't think so. Im not even filling it up past the perc.
Then it sound like a bad HT you got :(. Make sure that your HT leaks - look for a hole that's not a slit. If water goes down before it goes above the central intake tube, then it surely has such a hole. Then e-mail VapeXhale support and they should replace it for you.

I order this beauty during the holiday sale and just got it yesterday. Thanks to @stickstones for saving me an additional 10% off with his code.

I was unsure of how I would like the honeycomb perc as I don't like to much drag but it rocks. Very well made thick glass with no flaws. I'm really happy with it, it hits super smooth and the flavor is really good.

This is my 1st honeycomb perc and I have been keeping the water just below its he perc. Is this where I should be keeping the water level? When I hit it about half of the water gets pulled above the perc and sits there until I tilt it to allow air below the perc then it drains back down. I assume that's normal for a honeycomb perc?

Yeah, that's normal with the HydraHoneycomb. I usually fill to just below or right at the honeycomb perc, but it's pretty versatile so you can fill to just above as well as long as you're not getting any splash from it.

Got an email today saying there's a Martin Luther King Jr. day coupon code for 15% off the SwaggerTree starter kit. Code is MLK2016 and it expires Monday at midnight.

It only works towards the SwaggerTree Cloud starter kit sadly. I'm sort of annoyed because since the holidays I've been waiting to purchase a Cloud Evo but can't because I couldn't find a deal better than 10% off. Finally the other day I was about to purchase my HydraBomb kit as I left the package in my cart ready for checkout the day before - when I went to purchase it I was notified they were out of stock on the HydraBombs. Then I decided to get the SwaggerCirc HydraTube starter kit - sure enough that went out of stock the same day too!!!

Literally the only HydraTube I do not want is the SwaggerTree one, so of course that's the only one available for using the 15% off code lol. :ugh:

RobDaBomb,
Guys, i think i have one serious problem so please help me out :-((((

I am testing my new Cloud Evo for 2 days now. I was just about to write how satisfied and happy I am. I took about a total of 9-10 sessions during the weekend. Each one with the ELB filled with about .08-.1g.
But.. BOTH yesterday and today i had exactly ONE session which was very ugly tasting :uhh::uhh::uhh:
The one yesterday was really really ugly. And today it was a little lesser ugly tasting but it was the same taste....
The AVB is definitely not combusted, and i had the dial at about 12 o'clock, which is the fixed position. These were exactly the settings for each session so i cannot figure out WHY these 2 sessions tasted that bad.... Oh no, i would have NEVER expected this and right now, thats a true tragedy but i guess i have to send it back. I am really afraid of damaging my health, the taste was plastic/rubber like, hard to describe.

And surprising is the fact that all the other sessions I had were truly perfect. Taste, vapor-production, everything. but now... what the hell is going on here.. Anyone who can help me??? :(((

edit: i could even get that smell on the ELB which was inserted. Had to soak it in isopropyl-alcohol over night to eliminate that smell

Is it possible something fell into the bamboo? Grasping at straws here, because I don't recall of hearing of something similar.

Sorry to interrupt, but does anybody here have anything to say about the SwaggerTree HT?? This MLK sale only counts towards the Tree and I'm irking to get a Cloud more than ever. I plan on just waiting until the HydraBombs or Circ comes back in stock (as I'm in no rush to purchase), but depending on some reviews of the Tree... maybe I'll reconsider.

I can't seem to find much about the SwaggerTree through the forum or google, so that's the main reason I've been put off by it. Also it visually appears to be much taller than the HydraBombs and even the SwaggerCirc, is this the case??

For some reason it states that it can only use a Quartz nail - would performance differ compared to the normal glass one? In my experience dabbing I've noticed that Quartz nails seem to take longer to heat up.

Thanks!

I would rather have the tree than the new style hydrabombs by a long shot. Tree percs are great for vaping in my experience--they can chug a lug with high water levels or provide minimal but effective diffusion with almost no water at all. As for the nail issue, it limits you only in terms of price. The Quartz are more durable and generally preferably as a rule to glass nails of any type. If you're set on the evo I would get this deal, although they've been offering a ton and their stock is all over the place (as you've noticed) so I understand wanting to wait.

@Drew_de_Verdamper: Here are all explanations I could possibly think of:

1) A piece of plastic or some other crap made it into the bamboo or your bowl.
Something could have fallen down into the bamboo, burned there and you inhaled it (not likely).
Or something could have been inhaled up the intake on the bottom. For example hitting it hard on a dirty table, or on a carpet...
Or it could be in the bowl, for example a broken tooth of a plastic or colored grinder.

2) The bamboo could be damaged.
But people with damaged bamboos usually report very uneven ABV, much higher temps than normal and easy to combust.
You said your ABV was ok, so I don't believe this is the case.

3) Shit weed. Some bad weed can taste terrible in vapes.
For example moldy weed is something you never want to vape.
Few times I vaped slightly moldy weed it was a terrible taste and a terrible cough.

I can't think of anything else. If the bamboo is ok, the temp on noon, the weed is good and everything is clean - there is no way it can taste bad. It's just air coming into the bottom of the bamboo, heating up as it goes through the hot glass, vape the weed and into the HT. No way something bad can make it in.

Thanks for your help, guys!

OK, so one thing i definitely can exclude is point 3. The herb is really good, and i already have achieved some superb clouds with the same herb. Taste as well as dense vapor was the case.

You say point 2 makes also not that much sense in my case, because of the look of the AVB and as i said, all the other draws i took were super, so i guess, if the bamboo would be damaged, i would get bad taste all the time?
Despite this fact, i took another picture, showing the bamboo top viewed.
Could you please be so kind and tell me if this little "dot" or stroke wich you can (hopefully) recognize at about 12 o'clock on the first "ring" on the bamboo is normal? I didn't watch the top view that exactly so i cannot remember if this was all the time or is something new.

So the only possible explanation which i cannot exclude completely would be point 1.
Although i live in a very clean environment, i would say that it is of course possible that maybe a hair or something went through the bamboo from the bottom to the ELB.
That brings me to another question: Are there some kind of dust filters available ??
But NOBODY reports of these kind of problems, hard to believe that actually my "clean" desktop could be the possible problem....

I am going to test again today - just cleaned my desktop etc.
If it happens again i definitely have to return the unit.

So, maybe anyone out here who can confirm that this stroke which you can see in there is just normal??

Thanks again guys!

If you're getting good hits before and after the bad ones, than damaged bamboo is also ruled out.
The herb being good lessens the probability of the point 3, there could be a little mold spot that made it into one bowl.
Or some piece of crap getting into your bowl accidentaly like the broken grinder tooth or something.

I can't see anything in the picture, i think we could see much more if it was turned on.
But it's hard to impossible to detect cracks in tha bamboo visually, most people find out from the performance.
And if the bamboo is dirty, then most of the dirtyness will be in the bottom part you don't see.
The top part is so hot it is self-cleanning.
You can clean the bamboo by plugging it and shaking some iso inside and then carefully rinse with water and let it dry.
Be super careful if you do it, you really don't want the iso or water to accidentaly overflow and get into the electronics.
And believe me, it's very easy especially when plugged, it happened to my old original Cloud.
It takes very small ammount of liquid on a plugged bamboo to overflow.
But you don't have to pour in a lot.

Thanks again very much for your heads up!!
I can rule out completely that plastic or mold was in the ELB. I have forgotten to mention that i had these ugly tastes from 2 different strains - and from both of the same strains i achieved the perfect results. And i use these strains for some days now and they are both really good.

My initial thought was, that maybe a hair or some sort of dust could get into it. But something like this is hard to avoid i guess and then way more people should have gotten these kind of issues?

When the unit is turned on, i can't recognize any strokes or something in the bamboo, everything is looking normal for me - as you said, it's probably more likely to find out that the bamboo is damaged because of its performing and not the look which tells you.

Maybe one things that i can add:

Before that one session, the light didn't switch from red to green like it was normally the case. it was flashing a little bit, changing the colors a little but it went to green quickly and more important it stayed green all the time.

So i am really not able to tell if something is wrong with the unit or not.
I am experienced with vaporizers i would say, but this taste was something i have never tasted before. And i also do have a DeVerdamper and a Mighty here. So if maybe dust or something like this should have been the issue so i would have probably tasted this in my other vaporizers, too. but this taste yesterday was completely unique for me :\

edit: sorry, and what i don't understand from your post before: why has the unit to be plugged when i clean the bamboo?

FWIW, you can search for my old posts in this thread, but I think I had a similar problem. The problem was the plastic sheathing of a wire was making contact from time to time with the bamboo, or at least close enough to offgass. This pretty much only happened using it inverted, and created some super disgusting plastic acrid harsh taste. The taste was coming up the bamboo through a slightly open seem on the bottom of the EVO. Had a very similar issue with my Cloud+ as well, but not nearly as bad.

I will definitely look for these posts, thank you biohacker!
So you had to send the unit in, i guess?

i only have used the Evo not inverted. Regularly standing , with H.T.s on top

That's probably the best way to use it IMO, i'll try to dig up the posts. It was a friend's EVO, and the issue only seemed to happen at higher temps, and he never experienced the problem at lower temps. It was also inconsistent so was pretty confusing, and i'm not 100% saying that this is your issue, but based on the taste/smell, it definitely could be.

That would be very nice of you, thanks.

In my case, the issue also occurred when the unit was really hot. It was running probably 15 minutes i guess and the top of the unit was pretty hot already. The dial was about 12 o'clock though!
But it is inconsistent for me, too. i hadn't been able to reproduce it on purpose.

Dude, IMHO Swagger have made the best HT's ever. Go for it you will love it for sure :D

Hi everybody,

just a quick update:
No need for further testing here -> my unit is definitely broke! :cuss:
It seems that I can reproduce it by just dialing 1-2 o'clock - that seems to be "hot" enough for producing an disgusting / plastic-like taste.

I cannot believe it!!!!

It is really a shame .. i invested that much money and get a crappy unit. Would have expected that from vaporizers for like 20€ or so, but not from an US company with such high-priced devices.
I mean what is worse than a vaporizer releasing some (maybe) toxic vapors ?!?! At <200° C....

And who can tell me if these 3 draws i took don't affect my health?! Unbelievable, really!
