15 COMMITED, 5 MORE FOR THE DROP.. ON THE OTHER HAND, THE HERBALIZER IS OUT ON MASSDROP TOO.. GETTING IDEAS LOL
A little off topic but I see no functional difference between the Herbalizer and Extreme Q.15 COMMITED, 5 MORE FOR THE DROP.. ON THE OTHER HAND, THE HERBALIZER IS OUT ON MASSDROP TOO.. GETTING IDEAS LOL
That's funny!A little off topic but I see no functional difference between the Herbalizer and Extreme Q.
Hey, SM & crew...
Will you guys be heading up to the Cannabis Cup in Seattle on Sept 6-7th? I plan on being there and it would be great to meet up with you guys...finally...
...it would also be great to meet some fellow FC'ers at the CC, too. I can't be there both days, but I will attend on Sat. Hope some of you will make it there...
As in Joe Pesci funny? LOL!That's funny!
I wholeheartedly agree on all points :-)Everyone says a Cloud is supposed to be heat soaked for a while so its performance gets to stable maximum.
After so much time doing that I've found out I actually like a freshly heated Cloud more.
Maybe it has slightly less performance this way, but it's WAY MUCH smoother.
I think this is because the male joint gets hot and therefore conduction sets in when the unit has been heat soaked for a while.
We know conduction heat tastes worse. When the EVO is freshly heated and its LED turns green, the convection is about 90% ready.
Yet the joint is still cold and so vaping now means pure convection via glass surface - smoothest and best tasting hits ever.
When you let the unit heat soak for a while, the heat in the bamboo soaks down into the turbulence chambers (this slightly enhances fast-pulling heat retention)
and also up to the joint (this adds a bit of conduction extending the performance slightly, but makes the vapor harsher yet taste the same temperature-wise).
Also when using the EVO like this, the session is over before the enclosure can even get warm.
The Sublimator is the vape that set performance as its number one goal.
The Cloud is not only about performance, it's goal number one is actually purity.
So that's why I think using a freshly heated EVO is actually how a Cloud should be used to show it's best potential.
Letting it heat soak makes it less Cloud and more Sublimator. We bought an EVO because we want a Cloud.
For these pure smooth tasty hits.
The taste and effects seem the same no matter if the unit is heat soaker or not. It's just the smoothness and performance that seem to change when heat soaked.Personally, I enjoy having the option of either a heavier, full-spectrum vapor VS a headier, pure vapor.
Ah that's a very valid point you bring up.The taste and effects seem the same no matter if the unit is heat soaker or not. It's just the smoothness and performance that seem to change when heat soaked.
I agree it's a good thing having the option, but the option is "smooth and powerful VS harsh and even more powerful".
"full spectrum VS headier" is still dependent on the dial. Yes, there is a small temp increase on heat soak but that's not the cause of the harshness.
I like vaping at freshly heated 3 pm. It is high-temp tasting and powerful, yet it is also smooth.
Tbh I've never really seen the massive appeal of the herbaliser, but honestly, I didn't think it was considered "the king"?
I like where you're going with this, Seek...time for some testing!
Me too. I always was of the mindset that the vape isn't ready for at least a few min, but just enjoyed it as soon as it went green, just went higher on the dial. It was in fact smoother.
The ABV is less dark colored though. Not sure if I should take that to mean less done or what. I don't particularly care since I use very little, I'm not worried about "wasting" anything since I make use of my ABV. The only thing I'd be worried about is not getting various cannabinoids that I may or may not get if I went with the heat soak method.
Any thought there? Its probably worth it for the smoothness alone.
Just ordered a pair of quartz VXNs.
My (original) two are getting pretty thickly scuzzy, and I want to be able to give them some long soaking/cleaning cycles. Also, quartz appeals to me.
I'm hoping that these will be around a long time. I have had no issues with the glass ones, so far, other than keeping them clean-ish.
