3 thing's I'd like to note first.
today I put a elb cap that was loose and when I lifted up my tube, the cap came off and stayed inside the tube! It came out with my pick though. it was a surprise.
2n'd I Love the detachable cord! I store it on a shelf with confidence my dong will never know it down. and 2 I have a ton of spare PC cables. so I put one here by the pc and then I have another over in the tv room too! I also have a 3rd I can put in my travel case for when we go on adventures. that's convenient!
oh and 3rd. I have a dead foot design tube stand that is serving a great purpose in the living room, so I don't even need to shuffle that around either.
I have a theory about this. There is only so much active THC on your herb regardless of which vape you use. The cloud is designed to cause turbulence in your herb in the ELB though bamboo restrictions which exposes more surface area to consistent hot air. The sub does not appear to have this type of turbulence and there is more metal exposure for some conductive heat transfer. I speculate the properties of metal (specifically heat transfer) is why there is a lot of sublimate that builds up. The vapor from the sub is depositing onto the metal a lot more than the vapor from the cloud depositing on glass. This is my theory as to why the Sub gets so much sublimate and why you might be going through herb faster. With the cloud you are breathing it in but with the sub you are depositing more of it on the metal.
It is just a theory based on some research.
When I think about your logic it also seems obvious to me! thx
yes the sublimate is where a bunch of my goodies are going. (not that I mind, I LOVE sublimate!!! I'd buy it if i could
) but since getting my evo, I have not gotten around to doing a side by side comparison quite yet. I will once I cam more comfortable with the evo.
on a side note, I do recall Enrico saying that there was turbulence generated at both the intake's entry point and then when the vapor passes through the atomizer. I bet we are talking similar, but not identical physics.
so far my glass hasn't gotten too dirty so I think you are right about the sub leaving more deposits on the inside of that atomizer tube. I've seen 2 drops of oil come out of my sub in the last 2 days and i've not even used it!
they flow slow!
I think you are totally right on your points there, but one more thing I wanted to reiterate. the sub operates at one temp and to dial it up or down requires you to wait a 2-5 min for it to get up to temp. "Aint nobody got time for that!". So I just dump after 3 hoots and repack a new bowl. I would wager that if I took the Sub abv and put it in my cloud I'd pull some more from it and make the abv darker. I'm learning when to stop though. not getting too baked anymore at least
I am getting good clouds for sure. but the subs are larger I am finding. one could also view that as more wasteful though!
