Not sure where you got the idea that you can't take the SOLO on the go; that's what it was designed for.

My EVO arrived back home today! I couldn't be more excited! This is the second time I've had to send my unit in. First for a firmware upgrade and now for broken bamboo. It's not a big deal at all though because between both times it was a combined ~$20 in shipping and a few weeks in transit.
When I had gotten my EVO back from my firmware upgrade the first observation I made was that the light was significantly dimmer. I had posted about this a while back, but my EVO is almost up to heat so I'm trying to be brief. I'm not sure if it was a light misalignment type issue or if the glass had already been compromised, but now that it is back again the light is back to being more bright like it was originally. Anyways it should be ready to go here and my VXNails are just begging to be used...

Good morning all!
I'm happy to report that my hubby, all on his own, used the VXN to try a small piece of shatter last night. [this was after he spilled my shatter on the floor - on the balcony - in the dark. he got it all picked up, too, with a flashlight!] I was already sleeping, so he was on his own! I asked him if he would have been as comfortable using the torch/oil rig, and he said he would not have used it.
"It [VXN] was so simple to use, it just seems like it is the right way to do dabs" - Hubby.
He used about half as much as I do (really tiny amount), the straight stem, Noon on the dial, very slow draw. He had just the milky haze in the bottom when he pulled it, then he did the self-clean cycle, and shut it off.
We're just leaving it in the EVO after the cleaning cycle & shut off. The extra time/heat seems to be peeling away the layers of buildup. I now have a lovely rack (wood) for the VXNs when I need to remove them from the EVO.

As a beta tester for VXH, I did most of my tests on the VHN with hash. Using bit the size of a weed seed not much than that, with different kind of oily to more Lebanese kind of hash. Low temp (9:00) and very slow draw. Got nice results, one big cloudy hit and maximum flavour.

Looks like we have some differing of opinions on using "Hash" with the VXN.
I personally haven't had a chance to try a regular hash.
My guess is a bubble hash (aka ice water hash) that is at least "half melt" probably works well in the VXN. It's not uncommon however for a dispensary to sell "hash" that is really just pressed kief. Usually that hash is really cheap at a medical dispensary - often 1/2 the price of a bubble hash.
Pressed kief or dry sift hash might not work well in the VXN. Unless it's a really skilled dry sift guy - I know I have seen some fullmelt dry sift stuff by the pros.

Yes, it drops inside the EVO GONG so as long as you don't invert the EVO, any 18mm connection is good to go from what I can tell.
Took @Enchantre 's technique and kept the dial closer to 11-12pm and not so much on the 10:30, I would agree that going very low doesn't seem to offer much benefit as you still get the eventual "bad" burn off part, just takes longer.
I've been using a crumble taffy/wax that is dark brown and hashy looking (50% ish THC), a thick oil, a sliver of a nice shatter I still have. All worked about the same. The nice shatter had the highest THC and the cleanest burn.
I have some full melts I can try tonight to compare.
The dark brown tafffy/wax/crumble has a terrible appearance, (GSC source) but the effects from the VXN was nice, much harder hitting effects in a quicker time period than I am used to. The downside of course is this could be ruining my tolerance even more. I do 1 VXN, and then do another because I don't want to "waste" the ice I prepped for my IGG Hydratube. Then I do 1 more VXN since everything is all ready.
After 3 solid rips, my verbalization dropped off and I was giving 1 word mumble answers to my GF for a good hour+.
I need to try and get more disciplined and do just 1-2 VXNs at a time.--------------------
A lil bird told me the Hydratube 2.0 is back in stock! But VXNs are sold out according to the check - out page.
Anyone have some ideas in addition to the tubing to get modular in place of inverting the Evo? I have some tubing laying around but I prefer glass. I have a cloud buddy, HT2.0 and some random GonGs I might try and cobble together something, but I smell the need for tubing is the limiting factor.

In my tests I nailed a wide variety of "H" (that was my mission), even some rock hard over-dried H's. All vaped wonderfully, you just have to "temp" accordingly.

Did you try anything that was really sandy/kiefy? I can't imagine kief itself would work well.

....yeah after doing exclusively at 10...I've now moved up to noon....for the crumble def. better...and better for shatter too...just not as much to me...the higher temps seem to be more conducive to "one hit"...lower temps I can get 2....but tase starts to suffer...more test required though....

How much do the Evos cost now as stand alone?

That was for the trade in option if you already owned a Cloud. For a first time buyer the IGG price was $350 for a unit with a dry mouthpiece.
Had some long conversations with extractors today, the "pros" of my area and after several sessions over the course of weeks, this is the conclusion that we have come to as well. The first 85% of the inhale is pure ecstasy. The last 15% tastes bad. We hypothesize the last 15% is the plant material, wax, etc etc so we've gotten accustomed to just stopping when we notice the flavor changes for the worse. We still feel plenty medicated and don't feel that much is lost with this technique.
