SEARCH for the treasure...
PSA: Please properly dispose of batteries and don't just throw them in the garbage. I'm sure it varies by country - here in Canada, there are designated drop-off locations (my nearest one is in a Staples store).

Indeed! There are many places to drop off old batteries for recycling!

Using batteries that are diminished in a “powerbank”, seems the opposite of efficiency. I rely on my powerbanks to have their MAX CAPACITY. But whatever….

Have i gone through the looking glass?

This ones called "Cheshire cat" :)

The guys at Tinymight are just trying to decide what to do with this extra special PH TM.

They asked me to share the photo. Here we go!

Guess if nobody wants this, I'll take it...

Go ask Alice, I think she’ll know…

I have a cat who’d love some company.

My PH TM2 continues to shine. I’ve been using the new TM stems and my 3rd party ones with it exclusively. I did bring it to a friend’s house once, other than that it hasn’t left my house. I use my OG TM for outside use. Tinymight is the cat’s meow - every single time! :peace:

I unpacked the TM2 but before I begin, I have a question.
The circled piece on the above instructions, shows a cooling unit screwed onto an herb chamber.
As I was checking it all out, I carefully removed this assembly from The tube.
DSC00409.jpg

The Cooling Unit came apart, spilling out this combination of washers and nuts that do not screw on to anything.. they just sit there.
When I try to put them back together, and screw this assembly together as it was, the washers and nuts do not fit in again so that I can make these two pieces "flush" like they were.
Help?

No the cooling unit is the entire metal assembly, it ends up holding a flat screen, so that becomes the herb chamber once it is in the glass stem and you leave a little room... That is what the graphic is indicating with number seven there, that area as herb chamber

However there should be a screw post for all those washers, they shouldn't be loose rattling in the cooling unit so I think that is a mistake!?

There is a screw post that can be seen in my picture, however it is much thinner than the nuts or washers holes...
They also when stacked on that screw post, leave a gap between the 2 pieces that were flush earlier.
Thoughts?

Hmm Sorry I can't be of more help, I've honestly never taken any of mine apart, my original I foolishly didn't clean before using, and then moved on to other things so I never actually ever cleaned it lol then I never bothered with the cooling units from my next two TMs since I'm using WPA and aftermarket stems anyway... I'm sure someone can help further to chime in, there has been info around showing the layout, shared here previously though it's so hard to find! Hopefully soon, good luck Uncle Vito

Do many people here use TM2 at high temps with no temp stepping? If so do you find it's comfortable with most stems? Would this be comfortable with the 3d stem for example? Or one of those pilled stems from HighArtisan and the like?
I use mine almost exclusively in on demand mode, at 10 (or 465ish degrees), through a dry orb/whip or with that pill-filled spiky stem from Sneaky Pete, always with a tiny bit of concentrate. Three giant hits and it’s spent, any more and mine combusts. The body of my TM2 barely gets warm.

When do you talk about high temps? I never temp step but only go above 6-7 when using a wpa and water to create enough airflow and cooling.

IMO it's uncomfortable because I like long draws thus it gets hot at my throat after a while but I like the 3d stem with blue balls in it at around 5-6.

Although not really artisan the stem I enjoy at the highest temp 7, is that xxl rocket stem with tiny balls inside. Provides IMO better cooling then longer glass stems and semi blocked air path with cheap gems / glass beans or what ever I tried.

I just put my TM2 on session mode then forgot while I was texting until I felt it warm in my hand, then I took a draw and it was way more flavorful with thicker, bigger vapor than I'd ever seen it produce before with such a light draw (using dosing capsules and the stock stem). I'm be curious to know if anyone else saw a performance difference by letting it heat up after the buzz before drawing.

Hi, long time lurker first time poster. Seriously considering purchasing a TM2 and have a couple of questions for you knowledgeable people.

Not sure I love the aesthetics of the PH, also a bit wary of the material (my partner and I both have sensitivities), and it looks perhaps a bit less discrete to me (maybe). Each to their own like, I get the appeal but think I prefer the walnut. So...

1. Is the reported improved heater in the PH a big advantage?
2. Do you think, know or suspect the new heater will come to the walnut TM either as an upgrade or as the TM3?
2+. If so would it be worth waiting?

You guys suffer from VAS. I have FOFUPPS - Fear of Future Upgrade Preventing Purchase Syndrome.
ive had all of them and for my money, they all perform very similar. i think if the PH is what you want, then go for it - but i found the new heater was quite harsh compared to the Tm1 for instance. i used my friends tm2 (my old one) and it had no harshness. the PH is very harsh to my throat

wouldn't wait. would just pull trigger on whatever one you like. i definitely prefer the walnut

So the harsness is due to the new heater? Aren't they going to put that in all the new Walnut models also?

I would rather have glass than SS if it affects harshness, regardless of breakability.

Yes, I've read some people saying the new walnut buys are already coming with the new heater, but it could be internet rumours too.

The new heater has not substituted the glass for SS. The heater part is still the exact same SS curved laminate, no change at all. The zirconia columns used to keep the SS part in place are a bit bigger to increase robustness. And the glass around keeping it all in place has been changed to Zirconia.

It is hard to see why it would be harsher, but I have not tried it, so I can not say. Some other users report feeling no difference. And it is also possible that some users feel the harshness because they are somewhat allergic to the reddish wood. It is all a bit unknown ATM.

The part that changed to SS is the glass that was around the stem. This has not changed the flavour or anything but it has been reported here that it has made the cooling more difficult as the SS does not isolate the heat nowhere near close to the glass. Apparently the stems get hot quicker and cool less. I wish they had changed it to Zirconia too instead of to SS.
