Milaana. Lana. LANA. LANAAAA! (TM2/TP80/BAK/FW9)
Sounds like a solid plan. I was going to go in with a dosing capsule holding a lot less material than a joint to prove a different point. You may be right though. Might have to vape the joint, lol.

One of the original Zion beta testers was a biker who brought his around with him, TM is like a more polished portable version of that, I can't remember if he converted any of his other biker friends, but I know there was some biker granny who would hit it hard lol

I love this! Yeah, the biker community is full of joints and one-hitters. It's part of the culture, so not sure how many I can convert.

Update on my stuck screen:

I don't think you need a screwdriver @sanchezman 😁😁 Just unscrew the stem ring, remove the sleeve and you should be able to get the screen and it's retaining ring out. Reseat the screen and, if you haven't caused any damage, you're good to go!

Yeah, this is the advice I should have taken. I went with the screwdriver disassembly instead...

When I unscrewed the plates, I noticed that the screen was wedged right on the heater, beneath a second glass tube. There's a first top glass tube where the metal mouthpiece holder slides in. There's a metal ring beneath that tube to hold the screen, and then a second glass tube around the heating coil that holds the ring.

Long story short, the second glass tube slipped out, and I had one hell of a time trying to squeeze the coils back into the tube and fitting everything together. I didn't get it quite right, and the only way I could fit everything together was by removing the gasket between the first tube and the top plate.

My vap seemed to work fine after this, but it had occasional heat problems caused by insufficient contact between the top metal plate and the metal strip that brings power to the electronics. Normally that problem could be solved by screwing the vape tighter or bending the metal contact. However, my vape was already screwed as tight as it could be. This persisted for a week.

Then last night, I was vaping when I heard a crack. I took out the mouthpiece, expecting that the first glass tube had cracked (no gasket to cushion it anymore). Instead, there was no damage, just the tube was suddenly loose. Perfectly loose to refit the rubber gasket again!

I unscrewed it one more time to refit the gasket, and everything went back together perfectly! No temperature problems, no rattling, no combustion!

So back as normal. 1/10, would not recommend. I only got lucky that it somehow fits again.

Next time, I would rather mangle the screen by extricating it without disassembly. You can just squeeze the screen flat again in a vice and pop it back in the screen holder.

A HONEST REVIEW ON TM REPAIR ASSISTANCE

It arrives me today my tm repaired, so here i am to give you all info (and also a question).

The repairs takes almost three weeks (20days from shipping) without any update from them (despite my emails to two addresses, just to be sure that everything was fine).
Maybe they are super busy, or maybe my email got to spam folder again (it happens in the past, but now it shouldn't), but in the end contact assistance point was really bad.

BUT
opening the box today (very full of paper to avoid damage) i found not only a repaired and well working tm, but also one charged molicell 18650, two extra glasses and a new temperature button ALL FOR FREE!!! 😍
So this can fully put apart the connection con, I'm super satisfied!! 😁

... Even too much!!
As i put some weed inside (0,3-4g bowl in a wood short stem made by Switzerland guy + cu) and tried the first shot with "just" a lvl 3 temperature... And with just 2-3 second hit, i felt the vapor /heat so strong, i cough!!! I didn't remember it so powerful 🤣 so probably i get used to my last months of under power.. 😅
I m thinking how to fix this, but before that, i m aware that i removed one screw from the cu (to simplify cleaning) and some of my weed could be 10-20% maulty.
For now i try to put again the screw, any other suggestion to have a freshier vapor (without connections)?
I also have a small glass pipe connection, that almost fix the problem, is just uncomfortable to carry and connect, and also it can easily breaks. That's why i normally put an elastic around the glass pipe and put it with the vaporizer in a bag in which it fit perfectly.
I ask even for the weed: if you have a very tasty and trip weed that is 10-20% maulty, would you vape it?
I normally do, i few a little bad taste but who cares.
I cough only when mault is much more, and you can see white dots and mault webs, but in that case i throw it.
Any study can confirm that a slightly maulted weed shouldn't be harmful for lungs if vaporized? Remember we talk about 0,3g per day.

As you use a vape and get into vaping you start to notice different things like for instance I recently notice that i do not grind the herb fine enough as have started to grind it a bit more and am getting a lot higher than I was before.

I know this is maybe a personal thing but it feels so profoundly different grinding it finer than it was before. Just i hear people saying the grind does not matter and coarse is better for some vapes but i somehow doubt that is true.

I mean this in relation to the TM2 as it is the vape I use daily but the same goes for the Mighty+ and volcano also so am going to stick to a fine grind now.

Also congratulations Sto.Oned and good that you could share the repair process with us!! :)

Is it different from the previous one ?
A slight bit but yes. Little difference in shape and color (but noticeable). More (and that's the good thing) in the button hardness 👍

Do you mean moldy? If so, no, you should not vape moldy weed, even if “tasty.”
Yes. Well, i would like to go deeper in moldy thread.
Some of my weed is partially molded and i can't vape it, both for taste and quantity of mold on it.
But some other is slightly molded.
I imagine that even the toxicity should be slight, isn't it?
I just want to finish these 10-15 grams before to proceed to the good one.
I believe that if i keep this for future, will be even more moldy and not usable at all (i already throw some 😢), and just 15g of little moldy shouldn't be a big problem for health. Of course are just opinions based on my experience, as for example now i don't cough much (normally with mold i cough and sneeze). I would like to hear if this opinion could have a meaning, and if not if you can link to me any study that show that every quantity of mold is dangerous and toxic for the body.
Thanks

I would just throw it away. Why take a chance? What do you have to gain?

For me, I wouldn't risk 90 minutes of even the best high for the possibility of some type of infection that could make me miserable for much longer than that. :2c:

Shame bc i was interested in reading it...

Regarding mold:
Passed winter i had a mold problem while drying the last part of a batch. The room had a humidity problem and only found out when it was already too late. The worst affected buds seemed to smoke when squeezed...
:disgust:

Threw away everything that was in the room, even parts that were not visually affected yet.
Didn't fancy inhaling spores, even if vaping them would kill them (which i'm not sure off actually, i doubt this to be the case when low temp vaping tbh)
Must have been at least 300 grams that went into compost... :ugh::cry:

Heartbreaking for sure, still hurts but since i was going to stock everything for a while i didn't take any risks for it to get into my jars.

Identifying and Avoiding Moldy Cannabis: The Risks of Consuming Mold-Infested Cannabis

Moldy cannabis is a real problem. It can make you extremely sick, and, in some cases, it can even be deadly. Mold most often appears in cannabis when the bud isn’t dried thoroughly, but it can also develop in earlier cultivation phases, such as in an overly humid grow room.

In this article, we’re going to teach you how to identify moldy cannabis and avoid buying it in the first place. We’ll also talk about the risks of consuming mold-infested cannabis.

Why Should You Avoid Moldy Cannabis?

Moldy cannabis can cause a whole host of problems, both short-term and long-term. In the short term, consuming moldy weed can cause sinus issues or allergic reactions. It may also lead to fatigue, headaches, and dizziness.

You may also experience infections or other respiratory issues if you smoke moldy weed regularly.

How to Identify Moldy Cannabis

Moldy weed usually looks different from healthy cannabis. You may also see mold on the stem or leaves of the plant.

If you’re unsure whether your cannabis is moldy, you can do a few things to check. First, take a close look at it. It often appears fuzzy or powdery and might be a different color than the rest of the bud. If you see signs of discoloration, you should err on the side of caution and throw it out.

You can also smell your cannabis. If it has a musty or mildew smell, it’s probably moldy. Another way to tell if your weed is moldy is to use a tool like a jeweler’s loupe or microscope. If you see any fuzzy, white patches, they are likely mold spores.

What to Do If Your Cannabis Is Moldy

Once you’ve determined that your cannabis is moldy, it’s important to dispose of it properly. Mold can spread quickly, so you don’t want to risk contaminating any other weed that you have. The best way to get rid of moldy weed is to throw it away in a sealed, airtight container like a plastic bag.

If you do end up smoking moldy weed, it’s important to seek medical attention if you start experiencing any adverse effects. Mold can be extremely dangerous, so it’s not something to be taken lightly.

Tips for Avoiding Buying Moldy Cannabis

When purchasing weed, look for lab-tested cannabis. This can help ensure that the cannabis you’re consuming is free of mold and other contaminants.

If your dispensary allows you to inspect or smell the weed before purchasing it, take advantage of that. A quick sniff can often tell you whether or not the cannabis is moldy and save you from making a bad purchase.

Final Thought

By following these tips, you can safeguard that the cannabis you’re consuming is safe and free of mold. If you do end up smoking moldy weed, be sure to seek medical attention if you start experiencing any adverse effects. Mold can be hazardous, so it’s always best to discard any cannabis that may be contaminated.

BTW, vaping moldy weed is said to be even worse than smoking it! One of the "downsides" of vaping is the lack of combustion and potential exposure to mold.

So, to get back on topic...

Day 2 with the new TM2 is in the books. I only partake in the evening after work and other responsibilities. This puts me out back, on the patio, weed in hand, by about 9pm nightly. This means I have really only had 2 sessions with my new TM2.

Day 1 was a bit frustrating. I knew there was a learning curve, but didn't think it was this steep. I am a Dynavap user and always thought that if I can figure that thing out, this will be easy. Turns out it wasn't. I had an issue with the unit overheating in session mode with a dosing capsule. After that I wasn't getting good vapor production. Finally figured out On Demand mode is best for me, even if I have to hold down the button when using with a bong. Also learned I was packing the dosing capsules too tightly. They seem so small it was counterintuitive that a light pack is sufficient.

Yesterday was a lot better. I got some good clouds. I started packing the glass stems directly rather than wedging basket screens in there. 3-1 WPA was a powerhouse, got some bong rips that completely wrecked me. I am still trying to figure out how to tell when the load is spent. I know most look for popcorn taste, but my time near the burn pits in Iraq has really impacted my senses of taste and smell. Overall, I am figuring it out and much happier with the device.

I have two more nights at home with the device until I hit the road for a motorcycle weekend. I am really hoping to master this thing before getting to the house with my buddies. I want to be able to show them what a real powerhouse vape can do while they roll their joints.

I am headed out today to find some Storz and Bickel dosing capsules which several people seem to prefer in the TinyMIght 2 over the TM dosing caps. Being out on the road makes dosing caps essential for me. Packing a stem outside in the wind doesn't seem fun. More to come as I continue to learn how to use this thing. At least I have no fear of my hands getting cold at night on the road. This thing generates some real heat!

@Vaptic_Feedback , I'm not a TM owner, but have followed this thread enough to know... if you are using the stock "cooling unit" it will need frequent cleaning to avoid restricted draw.
You might consider a cleaning before you hit the road, maybe even bring some iso along in case everybody constantly wants to hit the thing!

Excellent point and I am pretty OCD about cleaning my shit. When I started vaping weed this last November, I was shocked how a bong can smell after just one use vaping. I thoroughly clean all of my gear every Sunday afternoon. With this rocket stem for the TM2, I am quickly realizing that I can't wait a week. I have used it twice and it looks gross.

I went over to a buddy's house a few weeks back to try his new freezer bong. When he brought that thing out it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a year. Gross. That guy is staying in the house with us this weekend too. :)
