TinyMight / TM 2

Bad Dog

Yeah I pissed on the rug...... so what
these are the instructions I have as posted by @TeaCup

Tinymight recalibration

First, please open the battery lid and close it to reset the device.

Turn temp dial to lowest value

Do triple click, like you would when turning it on. If you did it

successfully, the back end LED light should show very shortly green

light, like 0.1 seconds and the vibration motor makes quick burst of

vibrations.

Wait a few seconds and repeat. You should count that you get total of

5 of these short vibration / green light flash reactions. Not less and

not more, exactly 5.

Then turn the dial to higher level, like 5 and do the turn on with a

triple click. Your vape should start vibrating continuously and back

end LED activated. Don't press anything but turn the dial. The color

should change. When turned to low level, the light should become blue.

This means -3 steps for temp calibration. Vape should still vibrate.

next is purple, level -2. then turqouise level -1. Green 0, this is

usually the default level the vape ships with unless we had to improve

calibration ourselves. orange +1. red +2 and finally white +3.

Choose the level you wish by adjusting dial, for maximum temperature

choose the white.

Now you should press and hold the button without releasing it until

all vibrations have stopped. Only then the setting will be saved to

flash memory of the Tinymight. Maybe 5 seconds it is. Anyway, finally

red color is on at the back.and no vibrations. Now turn off the vape

Next time you turn it on, the new setting is in use and your temp dial

should be working differently. This feature was not intended for the

end user when designing the vape so it is not very user friendly and

for example there is no way to check which level you have chosen in

this calibration adjustment process. But it works and can be repeated

as many times as wished.

If you happen to not be successful, to get the unit vibrate

continuously, you should remove the battery lid and close again to

reset it and start again. It is important you get exactly 5 times this

lock signal green flash of light and short vibrations, and only then

turn up the dial and start normally and it should be in the setting

menu then.

I receive my TM today, surprisingly fast as I ordered Friday.

The device has a rattle to it if I move it. Is that normal? If not, what would cause it?

It rattled without the battery in the device, so it’s not that.

My button will rattle if I shake the TM. Other than that no rattling.

Actually I just tried it and even the button does not rattle anymore.
It’s the button, thanks. It makes noise with almost any movement.

I ordered a spare glass liner, but can’t figure out where it’d go. Is it outside the metal tube?

I also got basket screens but don’t know what they’re for. I just bought spares of a few parts to be safe.

It goes inside under the top lid. If you remove the stem and stem ring you can see it. But it won't come out unless you unscrew the main bolt.

I use them for my stems that don't use a cooling unit. Some folks use them in the native stem because they feel like it makes the duff more evenly colored. They are handy and I find a use for dome screens in many devices.

I've only had my TM for about two-three months and I feel like I'm getting weaker clouds at temps 7-8 than I used to. My vaped bud looks greener too, like I'm not getting good extraction. Does this sound normal?

The first thing I would try is to tighten the screw that holds the device together. It is a torx (star) T20 bit. Or you could loosen it, jostle the ends a bit and then tighten it again. That usually resolves a contact problem for me.

well, it appears I went to far and may have fucked it up. I unscrewed the bolt entirely and took it out. Pulled the silver caps apart slightly, I didn't think it would damage anything. my damned curiosity...
Now when I go to triple tap it on, I get no buzz just a succession of green, red, blue, turquoise lights. Resetting by taking off the battery cap doesn't seem to do anything. So it doesn't turn on or heat up.

I have never pulled out the screw entirely before but lots of people have completely disassembled the unit and then reassembled without hurting the vape. When I have lost haptic feedback, slamming the device into my hand a couple time usually brings it back, and if not an unscrew rescrew has resolved it in all but one case. In that case I removed that cap and manipulated the haptic motor.
I have not seen the problem with no power and cycling through the lights that represent the heating ranges unless I was doing it intentionally. You might try the screw trick again but otherwise you might want to email TM.

Can someone tell me the most pocketable semihard case for the TM which

1) is available in europe,
2) can carry TM,short stem, dynavap plastic small stash and an extra battery, and
3) is smell proof?

From what I understand there are 3 versions of the TM if I’m correct.

1. The original release
2. The release that he updated the firmware with the first time
3. The release that fixed the new firmware on/off fast clicking issues and added hot glue to the battery spring

Am I missing any?

Yes, there have been three major revisions that we know about, but never has there been hot glue!

The first version, had a red led and no calibration function. The second version had an RGB led and a calibration sequence. The third, and most recent version, was a change to the circuit board to include a serial number because there have been some fakes produced. I believe one of the modifications was to add a lump of solder beneath the bottom battery contact because it was getting compressed by careless battery insertion or drops.

You'd need to scour all of these pages, but I think there have been some other incremental changes as time went on. Like the on/off button was made stronger at some early point, probably between your release 1 and 2. More like refinements than something like the new board.

But broadly speaking, I think you are right that there are 3 versions that are distinct in some way.

Yeah it is not that simple as there being three versions, there were rolling upgrades in the middle, when I bought my second, it wasn't just the minor firmware updates, the aluminum plates became bead blasted instead of brushed, other material changes.

Versions, versions. Maybe it’s time to order me a second TM as a backup to my ‘first gen’ and 27 month old perfectly fine and continually friggin awesome TM. Maybe. I’d love a different battery door design but I’ve lived with version 1.0 this long and have gotten used to it. Other than that I wouldn’t change a thing - it’s so simple to use and enjoy. TGIF to all. :peace:

So my TM got held up in Germany customs over the weekend and it finally got here this morning. I haven’t had a chance to use it yet but the device feels solid, including the button. No fish smell either! However, I’m missing the glass bubbler, 3D stem, 3 in 1 WPA, extra 2 glass liners for the heater, extra pack of O-rings, and the the wooden instructions. The only things I got were the TM itself with battery in unit, the short stem with 2 SS cooling pieces that came in the unit, the extra 2 long stems I ordered, and the hemp bag.

I sent them an email this morning notifying them about the missing pieces. Hoping to hear back tomorrow. I’ll keep you guys posted on the turnaround time as well as my first impressions once I get to use it!
Lol “I’ll post my first impressions tomorrow” turned into one month later…

I’ve been greatly enjoying this device.

It’s damn near perfect!

The only things I would change: I would move the button towards the top of the unit to be a little more comfortable

I would change the battery cap design so it’s easier to take off (Fun Fact: a lot of people confused on which way the battery goes in because there’s no indicator, well the cap side looks like a “-“ and that is the negative side so that’s how I remember!)

And lastly, I would make it USB-C

That’s it guys, and these aren’t huge issues either just minor changes that would make it absolutely perfect in my eyes.

As you’ve heard time and time again, this thing RIPS! it’s best used in the WPA where I can kill a bowl in 1-2 hits and blow bigger clouds than if I were to use the combustion through the WP itself. It’s insane.

The bubbler is super nice too and I enjoy using the 3D stem occasionally as well.

They forgot to ship my accessories and responded back to me 3 days later with priority shipping and I had all my parts within a week. Good customer service for sure, especially for a small company.

That’s my quick write up. Any questions I’d be happy to answer!

Nice write up! Yeah, the battery door and USB-C could be possible, but I don't think there is any way to move the button, it has to be near the electronic board, there's no room to put it up on top because that's where the battery latch is and you have air path on the other side... Would take a full redesign and likely make device larger to accommodate!

Less soul, more mind
@JohnJacobs – Glad to see you enjoy your TM; I'm pretty sure the „-” on the battery cap is meant as a reminder how to install the battery, although I agree a fat red „+“ inside the compartment as seen in other devices would make it more clear. USB-C would be neat, but many of us charge externally so it might not seem that urgent to the maker. I'm sure we'll see it in future upgrades.

The button placement seems odd indeed and can even be uncomfortable for some. I recommend using your ring- or middle finger instead of the pinky, makes holding the button quite a bit nicer.
