Not following being reminded of the Z lol but sweet setup!!
I would think those rubies are overkill tho, do you notice a different with and without them?

I had the rubies in there before I got the female vigreaux stem, so I'm really not sure, but I can't imagine they do much relative to adding the female vigreaux stem.

He means because the Splinter Z is very tall on top of a mod with a long glass stem ;)
That is exactly why lol.

In actuality I find the performance of the TM to be very similar to the Splinter Z. The biggest advantage is that the TM is self contained and there is no need for a mod, so it is a good deal shorter than the Z. They both are big hitters and very controllable.
Exactly this too. I find the performance to be very similar but a bit better on the TM. The smaller form factory is definitely a huge upgrade, along with not having to fiddle with TCR values, PID values, etc.

Totally agree. It would sense in theory since they are both high-end convection, glass lined, regulated, high surface area heaters. Makes sense these are the most similar.

Currently I'm at the point of my VAS where I am in a Splinter Z rabbit hole but it hasn't dethroned my TM yet.

I guess that is why I have 2 TMs and 3 Zs. They are really the only non butane vapes I use. But they don't stop me from using my VCs and my Lotus. Sometime I am in a butane vape mood, sometimes not. The battery vapes are much more mindless, in a good way.
If only I could acquire a Lotus, just not a huge fan of inhaling the devil's gas :D. I'm looking at getting a second Tinymight since if it broke I don't know what I would do. That being said I have 3 Splinter Z type vapes now and a custom coming from Mark.

Also, I would say have a 510 mod base like FearandLawyering is producing makes a huge difference. Now if a maker were to create a wood base for a mod that would game changing. Reduce the profile and add some more flare? Sign me up.

In truth the air inputs for the Lotus are on the bottom of the cap and the heat plate is on the top, so there is no butane exposure, but the hard part today would be getting your hands on one. Most people who have one likely want to keep it in their stable.

The good news is there are lots of very good vapes that ARE available, like the TM. I still consider it my favorite.

Oh yeah I know the Lotus + Vapcaps aren't inhaling any butane. Wish I could my hands on a Lotus and there is actually one floating on EE but with no extra heat plates :(

Just got a TM last week and love it! Mostly I've been using the 3D cooling stem, but yesterday I discovered a MacGyverish alternative.

I also have an e-nano that I use with a "screen GonG"/adapter attached to a j-hook. The adapter is too skinny to fit snugly into the TM, but I've folded the silicone stem guard down onto itself, so now the adapter fits into the TM almost all the way to the mesh screen. It wiggles a bit inside the TM, but it's easy to hold the TM airtight against the stem guard, which gives me excellent hits! I had to turn up the temp a little, but now I don't have to twist anything in or out of the TM.

Anyway, thought another e-nano user might want to noodle around.

About to buy this unit. Sorry for the newb question - but are there any accessories/add-ons that are must haves that I should get? I'm all set for desktop purposes and would be using this only as a portable vape on-the-go, no water, no need to connect to anything else. Will replace my Mighty that I'm just kinda tired of.

I'd get the o-ring kit but wouldn't consider anything else must have. If you hate cleaning, maybe another cooling unit and stem?

I would also get a bunch of extra rimmed and rimless basket screens. That'll be a huge help when you inevitably get GAS after and look for some alternative cooling solutions.

Is there anyone that has both the VapeXhale EZ load baskets that @SixStringToker uses for one of his mods, and a dosing capsule from Tinymight?

Curious if either can "grip" the side of the glass, or if they just more or less slide in and out. If you have one, but not the other, could you please tell me if there's any grip to the one you have. Or if you think that either can be smooshed down a little to make them just a little fatter (doubtful, there usually to rigid to move much). Thanks alot.

i have the evo and tried this allready it’s too skinny for the TM and falls out of the stem. I suppose it could still work since your going to be loading it upside down anyway, but I haven’t tried it past trying to fit it in the stem.
I wouldnt recommend trying anything not proven to work as you may cause damage to the heater screen or worse.

Hi guys, in the wood of my TM small holes appear, eventhough I bought the bees wax from manufacturer and applied it thoroughly. Do you think it will deteriorate?

Interesting. This means either the evo baskets or the TM stems may have changed recently. I lop the rim off the evo baskets and can slide the rimless basket to any position in the stem and it'll stay. I have received a couple of new stems from TM recently, I'll try to remember to check them this evening.

Already noted similar differences from the TM stems inner diameter, one point not even the gaskets would stop the CU from moving... had to use the Crafty smaller ones and worked but yeah i guess from batch to batch they have differences, i didnt spot any difference with the EVO baskets so far
What temp you use? your AVB look a bit dark imo, should try @dzoinp mod, the load will be further away from the heating element and that prevent those darker spots. I Really like that mouthpiece.
Cheers
