So I still have a shot at getting a toad. The most recent info I have is that Dan intends to continue making Nomad IIs and Toads, and I know that at least one more batch of each is already coming.
I have been reading this post since day one, and the "there is no list for this" and them boom! 15 toads on the Road
How much is the toad at the end? 300$?
Pretty sure it was the first fifteen to comment on the thread. Can we get a shout out from who all got theirs in the first drop please? I’m trying to figure out if I’m in on the next!
Cheers and stay safe all!
Out of curiosity do you find the Molicel P26A batteries to be the best? I’m just getting into battery portables and recently ordered some Samsung 20S batteries.I wont lie, the TOAD has stolen my attention since being informed I had an opportunity to land one.
I've become infatuated and have not even held it yet!
Batteries just arrived... I got a stack of tried and true, new Molicel P26A batteries, and also trying some EPOC 25P batteries as they were on sale. Adding 8 fresh 18650s to my previous lot.
Honestly, this is the first time I've tried anything else... I am not one to experiment with my wallet, so I always bought Molicel p26a based solely on others recommendations. Now that I have some EPOC's, I can compare and see how they perform next to a cheaper alternative.
I am really curious how demanding the TOAD is on batteries. With fresh packs, I was getting 4 fully extracted bowls per battery on my P80. With old and tired batteries, I only get two bowls per battery.

Did you make a decision on the heater? I went high. I didn't even consider it, but I wonder how the energy consumption would compare to the low heater. I would think less, but then again, you would have to apply power for a longer period of time to get to the same extraction level you would get with less time on the high heater....
I'm pumped about the Toad, trying not to think about it much while I wait though lol.
