Totally agree. See my last post. Its borderline hijacking the thread and the excitement. And great point, MH is not the only company facing this issue in the dhv community. This isn't an attempt to police the thread. But I would sincerely find a seperate thread on the tariff issue to be helpful and interesting. It's something that is clearly going to affect our hobby, and the small creators within it.
Man.. I am SO pumped for this vape, but don't know if I can justify more than $100 extra for any tariff BS. Really hope it stays $25 per parcel!!
The worst part is not knowing for another month+.. If it's not coming, then I'd purchase a Simrell or Tornado instead, as soon as they're available. Whereas if the Tempest 2 does come thru, then I don't want any other devices.. But would REALLY hate to miss out on the next restock of Simrell/Tornado, only to be screwed by tariffs and not get Tempest either. Beyond frustrating.
At least I can proudly say I was NOT one of the Americans who voted for this mess!
There’s already one that’s pretty active:Totally agree. See my last post. Its borderline hijacking the thread and the excitement. And great point, MH is not the only company facing this issue in the dhv community.
Mods, can we make a thread for US tariff concerns? This will be a long road and starting it now would be great.
It makes sense to include Tarrif discussion there as well I think. Seeing as it's not going to get simpler anytime soon.also a thread dedicated to MadHeaters shipping:

good luck to all that might be affected by the tariffs.
I think one of the problems is that we don't even definitively know what the tariff will actually be to get it into the hands of US buyers. I'm sure @Brenyo has taken notice that many here in FC are willing to pay the tariff, but also consider we're in a forum specifically for fans of DHV, and even more specifically, the Tempest thread. That likely skews our perspective on how many people are actually willing to pay the potentially large tariff that may be added to the cost to get the T2 in our hands.I apologize for continuing the tariff topic, but I would just like to add to the voices asking @Brenyo to please consider allowing US customers to pre-pay any tariff costs as necessary.
If you're using the revolve stem with the screen at the top of the cooling unit, remove it. I was adamant about using it for a long while then I decided to try it would it and there was essentially no difference except that it didn't get clogged as quick. It actually hasn't ever fully clogged on me since. I use mine on the closed air flow and fully open air flow on the tempest head. Heated with the wand at 260-280 celcius, depending on wand battery. The thing hits like a beast. So excited for my tempest 2 pre orderWhile were all here waiting maybe someone has a tip for me. Im enjoying a tempest with a revolve stem and the wood sleeve. After a few days of use the thing gets really clogged. Is there something i can do to prevent this? Im using the helix tube and the mouthpiece airflow setting is on DTL(fully open).
I’m not set up to be able to accept pre-payments, so the tariff would need to be paid at customs.I apologize for continuing the tariff topic, but I would just like to add to the voices asking @Brenyo to please consider allowing US customers to pre-pay any tariff costs as necessary.
So it’s not a flat 25 fee and is indeed the price we paid x1.5? Roughly 375 USD additional?making this about 610 USD all told?DPD told me there’s no flat-rate tariff (??), and it’s approximately 152.5% overall.
wtf???DPD told me there’s no flat-rate tariff (??), and it’s approximately 152.5% overall.
I might have dealt some misinformation on this -- there was an outdated "Fact Sheet' (great name) that provided $25/$50 figures for May and June. An Executive Order superseded this, changing it to $100/$200 flat fees per parcel valued at or under $800 imported via USPS.So it’s not a flat 25 fee and is indeed the price we paid x1.5? Roughly 375 USD additional?making this about 610 USD all told?

25$ additional is one thing, I’m not sure I can justify an additional tariff more than the actual cost of the item itself. I’m a loyal customer, and I don’t blame @Brenyo at all, but that’s just too much money. I’m thinking that this “point of origin” stuff is going to wreak havoc on the vape industry. That's honestly what I'm gearing up for and expecting unfortunately. The only real hope I have of not paying a roughly 150% tariff is that by the time we have to make this decision, there has been enough backlash to unwind or reduce the tariffs. But I really don't expect that to happen, not in time anyway. The way I see it, we should prepare for the worst case scenario and then if it's not as bad as we expected, we'll just enjoy our new devices even more

ah, damn. i hope it can start sooner. any chance we get more tempest-porn in the meantime? You didnt show us the sexy CU yet. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)The EU store situation is a bit unclear and depends on customs, I expect shipping to start around the middle of the month.
I totally understand where you're coming from. Even though I can spare the money, it's a bitter pill to swallow.25$ additional is one thing, I’m not sure I can justify an additional tariff more than the actual cost of the item itself. It's been covered in the last couple of pages so this is my last comment related to the tariffs, but 150% is on top of the retail value for items with China as the manufacture country of origin. So the roughly $250 I paid will be subject to potentially $375 in tariffs ON TOP of the $250.
$625 all in. Not ideal by any means but not altogether a deal breaker, mainly because I've worked hard to get to a high paying role the last couple of years and it's not painful at all like it would have been in the past. Still, hopefully just waiting it out a bit allows things to settle and this becomes a non-issue.
What does this mean exactly? Don’t get me wrong —I feel bad for the Americans who voted for Kamala (not so much for the rest, to be honest; they did it to themselves after being warned a thousand times). But MadHeaters is a European company, and as an EU customer I really hope whatever’s going on in the US has no bearing on EU or other international customers. The EU store situation is a bit unclear and depends on customs, I expect shipping to start around the middle of the month.
