Some of the frustrations people are having with the beta upgrades are exactly the reason why I didn't jump in at that time.

Found the indicator coil, its mangled.

Cannot believe I waited basically a month and a half before putting this through glass!!

Essentially cleared a full .15g bowl in one hit 👊 zirc balls, wand at 335c til timeout.

Kept looking at another recently released butane vape, but I’m just gonna put my head in the sand for the foreseeable. Don’t need it, cause the tempest just filled every niche for me.

Sorry for fangirling, here’s my first bowl through glass (I’m going outside for the exhale, sorry!)

Hi everybody!
short question: do you think its Bad for the click disc if you cool down the Head fast ( Like laying on Metal surface for example) or very slow ( Like Laying down in a ashtray)?
nice greets!

You mean like using the Reload's decapper/heatsink?
If so I'd expect Brenyo's recommendation to use this combination to mean it's perfectly safe!
I'm not sure I'd use liquid N₂ though! 😄

I think the biggest danger is over heating the Vi housing, usually by heating it directly (you're unlikely to over heat it just from heating the matrix alone), and for cooling down it should be fine as long as you don't go to extremes (dunking it in cold water may not be the wisest method! 😉)

i dont use Nitrogen😁! But sometimes i want to use my Tempest two times in a row Or Share it with a friend and on the reload it needs its time to cool down….

Using a metal/magnetic heat sink is absolutely fine. I suspect you'd have to be really aggressive in the cooling to risk damage, hence the liq nic joke! I'm guessing you don't have a Reload then? If you're unfamiliar with them, I can tell you imho they are about the best way of doing back2backs without having to wait for it to cool down much (although the heatsink works pretty well), the main issue being working out how much heat to apply on subsequent bowls so as not to over heat and combust. It works so well as a decapper, debowler, heatsink (and more) it's well worth having.

Appreciation Post for @Brenyo

I was one of the lucky idiots who happen to come across the Tempest literally the day after it went live for Pre-Order (I'm not kidding, I can't imagine the torture of having to wait a year plus!).

My purchase was really an impulse buy as I wanted to get myself something for enduring what was a very difficult year. I typically hem and haw about larger purchases especially vape devices. I started with DV and eventually spent hundreds of dollars to support that ecosystem only to rarely use it anymore after a few years. The anvil which I actually really enjoy I've taken long breaks from. So I really wondered will I enjoy this tempest?

I tried to justify the price because I hadn't bought a vape in a couple of years but as the anticipation of the product lingered I started to wonder, "will I be let down? I had also purchased a wand just for the tempest impulsively."

Well.... I have to say, the device alone which is worth every single penny. The customer service that Brenyo puts forth in the forums, emails and where ever else. If anyone is on the fence for this limited Drop for one of the last tempest before the next year drop. I strongly urge you to do so. Yes, it is a high price tag, but you will receive unmatched customer service and passion to deliver the very very best. In addition, you have this lovely little community who has been so helpful and willing to help alongside Brenyo!

I had almost sworn off venturing into new vapes after experiences with DV and Anvil customer service but, @Brenyo I will follow you to Mordor. I'm already looking to continue to invest into you and whether its another tempest or the next innovation you move forward with.

If I had any less impulse control, I would probably look to pick up another Tempest Tip and mouth piece or even an entirely new unit....

Time to do a clean and get back to tasty cool vapor!

That's a cool post. I gotta say the community here is top, and Brenyo created art as far as I'm concerned.

The people here are super.

I have a dislike for social media. This is the ONLY platform I'll visit, read, and contribute to...

For Flare users, have you found a good time and W setting? If so, please include the type of balls you are using. I had success weeks ago with it but ditched using it over the Wand. I dislike a few things about the Flare, especially the position of the head/tip/spring VI housing. I'd like to play around more with it but would appreciate any notes out there. I'm not in the mood to combust while experimenting, especially if wisdom out there exists. (I know posts were made on this months ago but was curious about updates).

Ball info: the info @HaggisHunter put up many moons ago was so helpful for me as I also tried out different ball sizes/materials. Thank you. I could not find his initial post to quote, but I wish I could... very useful to others out there wanting to mess around with all kinds of balls...

The Boro is nice and tasty, but I go low, low, low on them (like 405 F) with soft MTL pulls as it initially heats but then pulling with increasing air right before and after Wand time out.

Wow. So tasty. Be careful of combustion if you have a strong pull!

I took out the stock screen and used a mesh screen. Opened up airflow a fuck ton more. The stock screen impeded hot air flow from the balls to the load making vapor production take that much longer...

I don't feel any need to increase the air flow, so this is a solution without a problem for me, but I would just suggest that you be very careful that that screen is well captured by the threading. Hot balls, especially at their peak of heat, can be very unfriendly to flesh, carpeting and most non metalic things they touch and can be a pain (ha) to separate from ABV should they come out.

@Brenyo
Hey!
You mentioned in manual, that “Before fully tightening, ensure the balls can still move slightly and aren’t compressed.”
Just curious, why it so important, and the question:
If it’s mean, that after full-tightening balls suppose to have little bit space to move?

has anyone who owns camouflet inductor tried with the tempest? if so, what was your experience?

Means you should make sure the screen can bottom out in the threads and sits securely.
If it bottoms out on the balls they might rattle free and the screen will be loose later.
And Like you Said, its the heating of the second Bowl…
The big advantage of the tempest is that you can reheat without any waiting just looking at the VI. Try reheating it right away and stop when the VI hits MKII

I don't like watching my Tempest glow like that. Even on the lowest power, the Inuductor lights up the Tempest. I feel like spinning is mandatory to avoid spot-welding the induction sleeve to the head. Okay, I know it's not that hot, but still, it feels like too much. I was using it with my beta, before adding the upgrades. At the time it had a single click, which was too early to be really useful. However, my beta VI worked great--and I really needed to use it with the Inductor's power.

I love the Inductor. As Jerry noted, it's a great vape-geek toy--it's fun to see what it can heat. It works really well with a couple of other analog vapes (which, for some reason, I don't mind bringing to branding-iron color). But the Wand works so well with the Tempest, without over-powering the device, and without the need to pay attention to anything but the timer (temp) setting.

I’m completely blown away…
Tempest so versatile!
And every mode with amazing extraction quality in every avb-colour, that you want!
1) 1-hitter.
2) 3-hitter.
3) 5-hits-session. Punch-start.
4) 5-hits-session. Low-start.
5) 8-hits-session. Punch-start.
6) 8-hits-session. Low-start.

With option to add more pronounced conduction.

Unbelievable!

Don't be afraid of the glow 😂 that's how we measured our heating times on the original TA, so I don't think there's any issue with the head glowing, unless you combust.
Although the TA doesn't have the Vi to worry about overheating.

Sure that's true, but glowing doesn't combust so wouldn't be too much heat unless you're directly heating the VI?
I meant in terms of unseating the Vi coil so the Vi doesn't run smoothly or even jams (needs to be opened up and reseated in the housing). It's not permanent damage but does need fixing to get the Vi working properly again.

Hi fam, long time not posting!! I've been a few years on that concentrates diet, but back to enjoy vaping flowers again :)

I'm in absolute love with my Tempest, I've had it for 48 hours and have been testing it non-stop. Already found the sweet spot for even extractions and tested a few modes, this thing for sure is amazing.

Something I've realized and I wonder if it's happening to everyone with a black unit. Is it normal for the colored bit of the tip that gets into the wand to fade the color a bit? On mine looks kinda faded now. Not a big deal for me, I think it may be normal because of the temp changes, but wanted to check here. There must be a scientific explanation :science:

Anyway, thanks for this amazing device @Brenyo, this is my dreamed vape. Couldn't be happier with it, and there is still of testing ahead :freak:

Ditto, both my black and the blue heads have faded slightly, and in fact I think were very slightly different (a little less gloss finish?) even before use, but I can't be 100% on that.

You're right, black and blue aren't regular anodized. I don't remember the exact name but it's a different process
