I want to express my big thanks to Brenyo (not sure if I was communicating with you over email) and the whole MadHeaters team for their support and for giving me the opportunity to purchase the device.

I originally ordered the Tempest in early December as a Christmas gift. At that time, it was already sold out on the official website, so I purchased it from Verdampftnochmal in Germany. Unfortunately, I also ordered two butane cans along with it, and they must have attracted the attention of customs, so the package was stopped.

After two months, I received a response from customs stating that the Tempest and Reload Gen 2 had been confiscated and would be destroyed. My appeal was unsuccessful, and by that time, the Tempest was already sold out everywhere. So I didn't have the words to describe how upset I was.

I also want to express my gratitude to Verdampftnochmal for their understanding and support. They went the extra mile and refunded me 50% of the confiscated item's cost, which I deeply appreciate.

After that, I reached out to the MadHeaters team, and they were incredibly supportive. They managed to assemble another unit for me from factory seconds. I want to say a huge thank you once again—this truly means a lot to me!

As for the Tempest and Reload Gen 2 themselves—this is the most convenient extraction method I have ever used. Using it is pure pleasure: huge clouds, full extraction, a beautifully designed and well-thought-out device. I’m already close to hitting 100 heat cycles!

I have never regretted chasing the Tempest for so long and putting in so much effort to get it—every bit of it was absolutely worth it.
To all my brothers and sisters living in countries with the same ridiculous laws—stay strong! One day, I truly hope we will see full legalization!

I don’t wanna spoil the party, but why did they only refund you 50% if the product is 100% the shipper’s responsibility until you receive it? You should not be liable for that at all and should have received a full refund.

I don’t want to take the topic off-track, after all, this is a discussion about the products themselves.
Yes, I know. I didn't receive the package. If you look at the tracking number, it shows that the package arrived in my country, then there was two months of silence, and eventually, I rejected it. Because in the package, after customs, there were only two butane cans and a lighter. Everything else, including the Tempest, Reload Gen 2, and various balls, were confiscated. I knew that if I accepted the package, I wouldn't be able to make any requests to the store anymore.
From the very beginning, the store refused to reimburse me for anything, citing that I should know the laws of the country where I order goods. After a brief conversation, I requested to split the risks 50/50. Because in this situation, neither the store nor I am to blame. I also made an advice for the store , to make notices to all clients from my country ,that there is always a risk to get your goods confiscated .
But the most unpleasant thing is that customs classified the Tempest as a tobacco smoking device. And all my appeals were like trying to break through a brick wall.

I am finding different ways to heat tempest with wand. Since bowl is upside down when vaping this way. More reclaim oil is vaporized vs going past the bowl screen/stem area. I think its more efficient and this heating method hits me the hardest out of all wand heating method. My new favorite wand heating style atm=)

I’ve been using the tempest for 4 months now and I’ve finally done a full clean (definitely more than 300 heat ups)

I ended up grabbing all the balls from max heaters when I picked up the device.

The stock balls (zirc) I think I got it pretty much as advertised and awesome

BUT

decided I wanted to NOT clean my zirc balls and try out the sic..

Alright as a user for 4 months and as a loser who had to back home….

HALF BOWL with sic (depth half way deep and temp: 505 I get more or less the same experience with a full bowl with zirc at 550/555

I will say I love the tempest. But sometimes I feel like going back to a dv or fulll time anvil would be the right thing to do.

And then I get a perfect OHE with half bowl with sic balls and going back to back (reheat going to click) also with the zirc balls. I still have the glass and stainless steel balls to try too.

Tempest fuck me I keep chasing all the fucking options. Maybe why brenyo named if the tempest. There are guys doing crazy shit with the tempest that I wouldn’t have never imagined or eve could try to replicate. (Guys I wanna be your friend)


The only knock so far is I got it in the Midwest right before the winter and I had to move back in with my parents..

TBH I got a sinrelll stem for the TA4 (which is another crazy device vas got me for sure. I had to know where the birth of tempest was. Of course I got the TA4 I feel like I should’ve gotten the TA3 but anyways.

I love the tempest. It’s honestly been like being married to your best friends hot wife but you can’t seem to make enough money and control the drama.

Big facts. Also another factor for people using the wand, is the batteries and how charged they are.

Personally I have 2 Tempest:

First is full Tempest Body + half bowl + SiC 2.5mm, cap full open and closed port. Perfect for OHE every single time.

Second is wood stem + Revolve 2 inside + full bowl + Zirconia 3mm, cap full open and port open no more than 1/3rd. Depending how I feel, I use it for sipping, cash a bowl in 2 separate heatings or just cash it with one re-heat. I have no problems repeating any of these scenarios while using it.

Agreed. I do the same exact thing every time, and get the same exact results every time. I love the consistency of the Wand/Tempest combo.

Draw speed is so important with something like the Tempest. It’s the first thing I ask about, when I see someone on Reddit who has one and keeps ending up with the top of the bowl scorched or close to it, and the rest of the bowl is green. It’s almost always a sign of either drawing too hard and fast, or simply packing their bowl too tight. Gotta have airflow and gotta slowly draw heat from the balls THROUGH the weed, not just blast the top of the bowl with hot air from drawing too fast or hard.

You guys are right. The more I control my draw speed makes the world of difference. I feel the same way about my anvil. The draw speed makes a difference.

Tbh it feels like golfing sometimes haha.

Also on the website brenyo does say very clearly “this device is meant for slow draws” haha.

I usually hit my tempest from a bong most of the time vs hitting native.
but i would say for your instance since hitting native.
cap air wide open>carb full closed on stem

regarding balls
IF OHE is preference. i recommend zirc 2.5mm for flavor/better heat retention than 3.0 zirc . 550f on wand is good starting point

if reheats are a must or prefer small/low temp hits
Boro/sic are good to use. 470f-500f good starting point

when i adjust depth on mine. i dont normally change the heating temperature #
I adjust depth when i want to have more of conduction or convection hit or if AVB all round is not playing even with me since of recent ball change etc..

But gl on your tempest venture.. 1 day or sooner it would be a 2nd nature to you.. you just need more time with tempest

I use it inserted until the bottom red line on the instructions, all convection. For SiC half bowl OHE, I usually do between 270C-280C for the temp, depending on the flowers and battery. When battery is low I may go up 5C or 10C if I'm not at home, where I would usually just straight swap it.

But keep in mind and focus on your inhaling, try slow long MTL first, and as you control the tech, THEN start testing variants. That's what helped me the most to tame this beast.
