Going Wireless

If you haven’t already heard, the Screwball is going wireless, and we are in the process of testing the first prototype.

If testing goes well, we hope to launch a pre-order within the next 6 months.

BONUS:
Here’s a little demo video of the wireless Screwball on the new Big League Bubbler

That's a really nice looking base!

Cal @Vapvana do you foreshadow a way that I can buy the glass diffuser bowl and have it sent with last week's order of the new titanium bowls (to save on shipping), or is the timing not going to work out/the website not going to have the capability to do it?

@Vapvana I know you mentioned in the Pinch Hitter thread that you've been away, I just wanted to nudge you with this question again.

Also, I'm using my Screwball tonight, and had a random thought. Have you considered engineering your scoop to go with your glass and microdose bowls? We seem to all just use the SQP, which will be too big, or the SQP mini, which I find to be comically small. I feel like more vape manufacturers should be engineering their own tailor-made scoops.

I mean, how many SQPs do I need that don't fit a bunch of my bowls? (5. I have 5. It's more than enough.)

Can't wait for the coil guard. I dropped my screwball last night for a split second and it left a burn mark on my desk mat. My fault though. I was adjusting the wire while it was on the bowl and it slipped off. Related question, does anybody have any recommendations for a 45-->90 glass piece/ash catcher? It doesn't have to be fancy, just don't want to have to keep using a tilted bowl with my bong.

Are you in the states? I have one from TAG that is nice. Use mine at the mouthpiece sometimes.

I used a coil guard I got from Vgoodiez for my Screwball. Vgoodiez also have some 45/90 degree Ashcatchers.

Thanks but the 45° 14/14 is sold out unfortunately

$22 shipped for the ash catcher, not bad.
Screwball coil guard has just been listed for preorder for those chasing one.
Just ordered one. Thanks.

Also, I wonder if the wireless version will have the normal or micro bowl. I really want a micro bowl but I don't wanna buy one now if it's going to come with the wireless version in the future. Right now I'd rather put that money towards a cool handle set anyways. My screwball is about to be pimped out.

If you didn’t see the discount page on Vgoodiez you can also get a discount for the ash catcher.

I hadn't planned on getting a coil guard for the Screwball. It's a pain of a thing to ship around the world, I don't really need it from a safety perspective, and if it's anything like the coil guard on the Ruby Twist it's going to be a pain in the balls to install.

But damn it looks really cool. Great price too.

The coil guard I used on the Screwball was easy to place. I also have a Thermal twist (Ruby twist). I’m glad it came with the coil guard. Because it fell onto my couch but didn’t burn a hole in it.

Can you dissemble a Pinch Hitter wand to make a DIY wireless set up?
A Vapvana barebones stand option to use recycle parts with an empty wireless stand
add your coil and use the coil less Pinch Hitter wand? when it becomes available?

I dont really understand what you are asking but I think the short answer is no. The pinch hitter is flared on both ends so it wont slide off and into the coil to make it wireless. You could use the coil from the pinch hitter set with a 20mm wireless head but that would just be wasteful. I made a wireless head out of my old screwball head by cutting the bottom off. I havent made a handle for it yet but have tried it and it works. I think a wireless one is in the works though as he has posted some videos of it up on his ig.

I’m new to ball vapes, I took a complete impulse on the screwball just before our laws in Aus changed recently. it has stopped me combusting completely. Every now and then I used to sneak a pipe in between vapes but this has stopped it completely. Thanks so much for teaching me.

I have the preorder on the hybrid bowls, the glass and the guard.

Can I ask what do I look for when buying a nice wood handle?
Are there certain specs to look for?
Thanks

Bowl handle? The handle likely uses a standard thread pitch. You could take it to a local big box hardware store, find the "thread finder" display, and see what matches. Then you'll have the dimensions you need for buying or making a replacement.

Or do you mean the handle on the heater? That's a slip fit affair, I believe.
