Not specifically looking for Ophos carts in 510 - want to order Kiss Ti Gr2 3.7v for my 510 battery. But the options for this KISS cart at the website are Ophos or Omicron, so not sure which one to order...

You're on the right track. Turn your meter to Ω, touch the leads together, write down that number, and subtract it from future measurements. 2.5 - 1 = 1.5 you're good to go.

Any tips for loading shatter in the herc? I see people saying rolling it into a ball with your fingertips and just dropping it in there but my shatter just ends up sticking to my fingers..

Flavor would be the first thing that makes it so good. With the 1701s, you get the hercules-level flavor profiles in a small portable package. Loading is easy just like the original KISS carts which makes it quick and no mess, I just use the cart to scoop out my material and then do a quick melt-in until the wick is fully saturated. It also holds a bit more than the original KISS carts. At 3.7v you are not going to get much clouds with the .8ohm donuts, but if you turn it up to 4.9 -5.0v/~25Watts (using a Core or other VV device) you can get some clouds going. Overall this hobby is about taste for me so that's where the 1701 succeeds.

Does it flash without a cartridge on?
If not, my guess would be a bad connection.
Try pulling the center pin out of the cartridge a tiny bit, it might not be making a good connection.

I'm really liking the 2.4 eo cart. It's perfect on a minicron light to keep in your pocket and take out for a few quick hits. It's been exactly what I wanted to take to hockey games. I was thinking about getting drip tips, but I like how impossible the silicone one is to get off so it stays on in my pocket. I wanted to ask some questions though.
What's the best way to start and stop with the eo cart? I feel like I always leave it a bit clogged and then burn it a bit unclogging it and starting it up. Also is refilling possible? It sounds like it works for a couple grams before becoming totally clogged. Depending on wax too.

I guess if you had the core you would have already tried and mentioned it.
I would contact G. If it flashes with no cart in, my guess would be a bad top.
Hopefully you can get it warranted.
That's what's great about the 8. The top is fully mechanical.

The way I used it, was I'd press and hold the button for maybe a second, then start my hit.
Draw for 3-4 seconds after releasing the button to cool it down a bit.
That would generally prevent clogs.
If I came back to a cart and it was clogged, I'd suck on it for a second, and plug the silicone mouthpiece with my tongue.
This would create a little bit of a vacuum between the clog and the mouthpiece.
Then I'd just feather the button (maybe 1/2 second on 1/2 second off) until I felt the clog clear and release the vacuum.
Oficially they're only rated for that first load if 1g of oil, but you should be able to get at least 2 through it (I think I've read of some members getting 7+ grams through a cart, but that was with pure gold)
I'm pretty sure that the main point of failure on the carts is that the heater fails.
My favourite little mod for the EO carts is:
Look at the silicone mouthpiece, notice the very tip of it narrows down to give the small opening at the end.
Cut off that last mm, leaving you with a slightly larger hole in the mouthpiece.
Insert a MFLB mouthpiece into that silicone mouthpiece.
It seems to provide a lil bit of cooling, but the main advantage I that you can see how this the vapor is, so you can dial in your heat up times and draw speed super easily with visual feedback.

Hey guys, did I fry the ceramic rod in my sr71?
Top of it is black now and my ohm reader keeps coming back with 0.72. Herc won't fire with 2x 18350 but fires with 1x 18650.

I don't think its possible to fry the ceramic rod. I've held the button down at 7.4v with the white rod multiple times for couple of minutes just to clean it and it's been fine for over a year now.
Really liking the @sethhobrin method by doing 1-2 second on, followed by 5-7 second hit, 5-10 seconds of continued inhaling and then cooldown hits. My buddy didn't believe me that it worked and went for the 7 seconds but he couldn't even finish the following 5 sec without coughing out a lung full of shatter clouds. His mind was blown, he was done after that hit. Now for the Iris v2 release so I can really dial it in..
Found out one of the four uptech ti gr2 globe heaters I ordered came DoA, i don't even know.. Might get that rebuild kit since my last 3.7 kiss cart died on me recently too. was there a video tut for that I missed? I didn't do too well with rebuilds last time I tried haha.
Otherwise, just waiting for that Triton release so I can have a reason to use the okeanos more

I had a problem with the one I ordered too. I had to screw it a tiny bit past what I felt comfortable with before it worked. You can also try having it on while you screw it in like someone else suggested, I forget who. I still sometimes get 3 blinking lights using it and have to fiddle with it until it works. So far it's been my only problem product, thankfully not a very big problem.

Do you by any chance know why the herc is reading at such a low ohm at only 0.72? I've disassembled and reassembled multiple times and no matter what, I get the same reading. Nothing seems to have changed other than the white rod getting charred.
I mean, it still fires at 3.7v but not at 7.4, at 7.4 it gets the blinking blue light. Is it still safe for me to hit the herc at 3.7v with it having such a low ohm reading? I've been hitting the herc with the core set at 7.0v too before this happened.
Have you checked the rod with a meter outside of the Herc Assembly?

Just the white rod itself? No... I didn't know I could. I've been testing with the meter while the rod is still inside the steel tube. I have the ohm meter from w9, can you please explain?
