I've been wondering a few things, because I just bought a persei, core, and hercules a couple weeks ago.
For a long time, I Wanted a pen style vaporizer that can portably vaporize wax, and glycerin based liquid, and the persei does great with bho, and isn't bad with the bho.
With herb on the other hand, I am not completely impressed.
First of all, I bought extra batteries (2X 3.7v long batteries, in order to use the liquid cart without frying the wick on 7.4 v), and they sent me a battery charger that won't charge my batteries!
The funny thing is, the long batteries came fully charged, and I have been using one battery for almost a week! This thing lasts a long time.
I called customer service, and they sent me a new charger yesterday, and a shipping label to return the broken one. I am happy with their customer service, and I think i'm going to continue to support this company.
The persei is perfect with the titanium kiss cart, and isn't bad with the liquid, therefore, the Persei is going to be my portable unit.
I don't regret spending a great deal more on the core, because I use it everyday. As I said, my short batteries aren't charged and the charger doesn't work, so I can't use the hercules without it.
I may be having a bit of buyer's remorse with the hercules tho.
I thought it was primarily for herb, but I was mistaken.
Because the directions weren't clear about use with herb, because it's primarily for bho, I kept loading my herb on top of the coil, and couldn't get a hit without combustion.
I realized I have been using it wrong, and removed the coil.
I admit I kind of like the option to load a half a gram, to a gram, and just puff on it all day, but I would much rather vape bud, because BHO ususally puts me to sleep if I vape a lot, as opposed to an upwards high that I get from vaping buds; and I have better access to herb. The herc does ALRIGHT with the herb, but isn't that spectacular. I do like the low profile, because I could bring it with me camping or something, and I wouldn't get in trouble, but for 100 dollars, I could have spent that money a bit wiser.
The hercules is nice for what it is, but I don't think it was what I was looking for. It is semi portable, but it seems to combust my herbs sometimes.
For another 70 bucks, I could have gotten the bender and a hammer top, which is an all glass attachment primarily for herb, and a heat wand, that I would definitely use.
but I wouldn't use this as a travel piece for work and school. In this case, I would keep the bender with the core.
Is the bender worth it? Is the hammer head worth it?
I think I will at least want the hammer head when they sell them with the rod, but they are out right now.
I'm also interested in getting the 3.7 v ceramic rod for the herc. I have read the taste is better, and it is pretty fast.
Could I hook that up to my shorty battery? You can run the herc on 3.7 v with the black rod?
I want to buy an herbalizer eventually for my desktop unit, but first I want to have everything I want for my persei. I want to leave the core, and both outlets in my car, for travel. Then have a travel case with my cartridges, and
I want to spend money on expanding my persei, and the number one priority is another cart strictly for oil, like the kiss cart, because mine stopped working after 2 days or so.
I'm wondering if the oil cartridges are worth it, because it would be nice to hae a cartridge in my travel case that I wouldn't have to deal with loading away from my house, and I'd leave the hercules with the core.
I read they are a pain to load, but they are good carts?
And what is the deal with the new oil cart? when is that coming out? The triton I think it's called?
Will it be able to handle a lot of wax like the hercules, or is it a new form of load as you go, like the kiss cart?
I want to buy an ss kit to shorten up my unit for my pocket, and keep a travel case in my bag.
and I want an isis. Oh dear god I want an Isis. But I'm not paying 500 bucks! ahaha
I want to just spend all this money at one time
-SS kit
-3.7v Rod for hercules
-ISIS
-Hammer top with ceramic rod; Possibly bender)
-Oil cart. Possibly many (depending on what tritent is, and how much it costs); Shit I might even buy the okeanos, but that's unlikely.
Does the 3.7 rod for hercules work with the 3.7 v battery?
When are the things I can't purchase now going to be available?
What is the tritent?
Which kiss cart should I get if I get another? 3.7, or 7.4, because I think the one I got with the persei was a 7.4, and it ran perfectly on my 3.7v batteries
aha and does anyone have any experience with the bender? I'm a bit interested, but it's expensive and not a priority at all.
Could I hook it up to a nibbler XL, or okeanos, or even my own water piece, if I wanted?
