I think it's a must. I just got my Persei back from my friend. I forgot I had it set with the 74 rod (cause that's what've would be buying) so I was using it all day with the iris today and couldn't get why it wasn't working I just loaded it but I couldn't get great results unless i had it all the way up at around 6.9 and above. Then I clicked the Ohm button and after taking it apart and putting it together cause I couldn't figure out why it was reading so high I remembered it was the sr74 rod

Guys what do you think you want to feel the button click? Or just touch it and it works?

Is it possible to have the button poke out a bit? Feels so awkward pushing it IN and the tip of my finger is in the device.

I have difficulty depressing the button on my Persei also. Having MS and fat,numb fingers is definitely a contributing factor, but a protruding button would be a great improvement...Been trying to find a place online that sells the little silicone stick on buttons......I have also put a few o rings on the body of the unit so I don't drop it..So far, so good.

I've been using these for several months now. They do collect little nicks and scratches on them and turn a bit yellowish over time but none have ever come off my Persei buttons and no adhesive has ever oozed out. Highly recommended!

I hope that the triton is a 3 prong metal heat disperser for vaping flower in the Herc!

I have a few vaporizer and the BENDER is pretty awesome to me.
Others disagree.

If you have one device for concentrates and flowers the PERSEI is a very good ideal.
The BENDER is not for everyone!

@THC SCIENTIFIC how do I upgrade to this new top and bottom? I have one of the older version Persei I got off sleepininca not too long ago. It works just fine, but I keep reading here that it was not designed to handle the sr71. Seeing as how that's all I use it for, I'm a bit concerned about it burning out soon.

thats the tricky part.

The 8 is made from Stainless Steel has that nice heavy feel to it. There are other things we have to take into consideration atm and get it streamlined so as to not have issues later on.

For now the 8's price is unknown but for the sale for FC members we are going to do it for a price that we will be losing money on.


But what I do know is this. That hidden feature that was suppose to be part of the Persei might be part of the 8. Which makes it almost the perfect vape.


For the Persei we are looking into doing the hammer top built into one with the touch button. This means three clicks and hold on the third click to turn the top on for 1 or 2 min. Still discussing it and testing it.

hi guys, can i run the sr74 or sr71 on a dna 30 vv/vw mod? 7-30w
what does it actually take to get this oh so tempting toy to run?
can i use a high powered mod i own, or do i REALLY have to buy a persei and wait for the iris v2 to get what i want out of this device? that seems like more money and patience than i can spare right now.

Yes you can, but you need this. I've been running my Herc SR71 on the DNA30 for about 2.5 weeks now.
I suggest you use the White rod (1.7Ohm) and a SONY VTC5 battery. The higher ohms allows you to go through the full range of the DNA30 and uses less current on your battery. I recommend between 20-25watts depending on your concentrate. Mine is set to 22.5w for solventless concentrate that is stable but gooey at room temperature.

I've been running my Herc SR71 on the DNA30 for about 2.5 weeks now. I suggest you use the White rod (1.7Ohm)

The Persei is a WAY better deal than a DNA30 mod: cheaper and a higher power limit.
The cheap Chinese look-a-like boxes overstate their power output and have no warranty.
