Will the nibbler XL fit on the *new* 8?

I feel like I need to plan for when my OG double top dies and have an effective means of using my carts besides my mechanical 8 for frustrations sake.

Why in the world would you reuse a product name like that? I guess you like confusing your customers. I think with all of the creativity going on, you could do a little better. Leila, poppler, gorgon, "the hippy", "the professor", fry, what's was frys dogs name? Plenty of options without confusion on all fronts.

So after more tinkering I think my problems with my 8 are related to the little protection circuit or my batteries being slightly too low

How do you clean the kiss alpha single and dual coil carts? My single one seems to be pooling already. I put my shattering a dabbed then just place it on the coil while pressing the power to heat it enough for two or so hits.

I've "burned off" what I could (vaping, not wasting!) then soak mine in warmed ISO overnight.

Afterwards, I tap all the ISO out I can and gently heat them (at 3.7v) just enough I can hear the ISO spitting and wait until it stops. NOTE: the "spitting" is real, messy and sticky - I direct it into a ceramic basin which I can wipe down afterwards. Also note that this will induce a bit of a burnt taste at the very end of future re-loads (letting you know when you're done). It takes a couple of days to evaporate without heat, but for my uses I'll take the out-taste over waiting

I've noticed the coils do build up a bit of residue that makes them slower to heat after being reloaded. I'm afraid to just let the coils go because I'm sure that burnt taste will be severe. I gently brush them with the end of a wooden poker or something soft and swish in more warm ISO.

These seem easy enough to take apart as well, but doesn't seem to be worth the effort short of replacing a wick or re-wrapping a coil that's disgustingly caked up. I was tempted to go 1701-only, but the coils just seem to hold so much more for me (and let me switch the flavors up, unlike the Hercules that seems like a commitment to one strain for an evening).

you mean the whole coil? it has some rubber there. i dont mind waiting, i currently have the single coil in use, cant wait to use the 7.4v dual coil. Is it just me or the alpha single coil doesn't let you get many hits, just maybe one large hit.

The only rubber I've seen is the white insert at the bottom for routing the wires and holding the bottom tap. It shouldn't get very hot during normal use and I haven't noticed any degradation from the ISO exposure. I believe the rebuild kits come with copious replacements as well.

buying the rebuild kit is kind of pointless since i already stocked up on the dual coils during the sale. so how often do you use/clean yours? i only used mines for a couple of hours and its starting to pool. i guess i would have to clean it once a week.

I do pretty much the same thing, put them in the corner of a ziploc with iso, microwave a mug of water for 30-40 seconds, then put the bag in with plate on top. I reheat just the water (not the iso) a couple of times and replace the iso in the bag hopefully just once, but sometimes twice. I also scrape black crap off the wires with a little plastic toothpick thing.

I clean when the black crap on the coils really starts getting bad. Sometimes I try and scrape it off so I don't have to clean it as soon, eventually though everything just starts tasting burnt. Any wax on/in the cup I scoop up and put on the coil to vape.

thats why there are replacement carts. when it taste burnt its time to toss it in my opinion. if your cart seems to be gathering black crap quickly, you need to get better concentrates. takes 4-5 grams of shatter to make me need to clean my sr74x rod. the coil can last atleast 10grams before torching.

I'm right there with you. Can't come up with a good reason to name it "8". Love the product, hate the name.

I get that an 8 sideways is an Infinity symbol. But that's not a good enough reason to add confusion to the product. The line can be confusing enough to a beginning, this will only heap it on.

Not to mention it's incredibly difficult to get good search results when looking for info on it online.

Hoping W9 changes the name before it goes any farther.

We will always keep that line, our products evolve. But our product line will stay the same.

Im with everyone else. Why introduce another vape with the same name of an already discontinued and in my eyes failed vape pen. But it's ok I don't need 3 vapes that essentially do the same thing, make that 4-5-6-7 (omicron, persei, ophos, minicron, omicron lite, vaporizer, 8, 8 v2) When will it end.

Looks to me like the new "8" is the first step in discontinuing the current persei. It's only real purpose (in my experience at least) is using the Hercules and bender. My uneducated guess would be omicron = pen/ego style, persei = 18350, 8 = dual 18650. Pure speculation though.
