Just wanted to stop by and say, after several years of HEAVY (multiple grams most days) use my persei/iris/hercules sr-71 is still kicking strong. I've never had to replace a heating rod or perform any maintenance beyond a cleaning and re-assemble. Having used many other vape systems i still give the herc my 100% endorsement as the best available for concentrates. I'm very excited for the upcoming update to the persei/iris combo to power the herc in a more pocket friendly form factor.
If you can please post this on Reddit if you have an account there. This would really help us spread the word on the Hercules SR systems and why they are the best.

Good sale. Grabbed 5 ac dual coils since I noticed ov's price for the 5 pack went up. Grabbed a bunch of misc herc parts too, I know I'll destroy some more insulators and don't want to rely on awesome fc members (@Silicon Advisor ) to send me some again. Also my center post spring doesn't spring anymore, luckily the post is stuck all the way up and makes a connection.
So difficult not to buy a bender but .5 is too much in a session for me and I'm not social with my vaping, all my friends just drink.

Yeah but thats not why im selling my oil stuff. Too sketchy for me. God didnt intend flower to he processed with fucking chemicals. No thanks. Im done. Back to the herb for good. I cannot stand when people pretend water isn't a solvent.
There's a very good reason it's called the universal solvent.

However when referring to extractions vs hashes:
Solvent extractions dissolve the wax membrane to extract oils.
Water is used as a suspension agent and the entire glandular head is kept whole.
There's a significant difference between a water separation and a solvent extraction. You can't get whole glandular heads with solvents.
What's the difference between full melt dry sift and full melt wet wash? The solvent properties of the water removed things more from the washed heads.
It's pretty easy to test for moisture content if you wish to. If you're concerned about the health effects of vaporizing residual water in your extracts, any laboratory that tests plants or concentrates could easily test for moisture content.
I have yet to put any dry sift into my Hercules but sure love how well it works with contaminant-laden wet washed goodies or even fairly contaminated rosin.

Actually I've never done more than lurk on Reddit but I went ahead and made an account and searched for some of your posts. I'll be more than happy to spread a little love for the Hercules. I'm honestly amazed no one has ripped off the design, although a smidgen less user friendly than some it outperforms them all in flavor and vapor production, and it's cost effective because the heating rod is damn near invincible vs having to constantly replace coil heads.
It's versatile too, I can load a fatty dab, ramp up the wattage and hook her up to a water tool for what is, if not quite a full on dab or enail experience, the closest I've achieved from any errl vape to date, or i can tone it down and enjoy quite a few terpene rich puffs as i walk around the garden or watch a movie or something.
I'm a glassblower, a hash maker and i work in a vape shop. i've tried many methods of medicating and for my personal use i almost always reach for my Hercules SR-71.

oh no, definitely not remotely concerned with the health effects. Not concerned with the health effects of butane either. Conspiracy level fear mongering if you ask me. This is just a good old fashioned chemistry pet peeve
I will say i'd much rather vaporize as few unnecessary plant waxes as possible. I find them to be harsh.

Butane and butane derivatives are used quite often in foods. Check any candy bar for TBHQ and BHT. Not saying it makes it safer, but butane is far safer than majority of the chemicals in your house. Hell if you wash your clothes in laundry detergent, you are basically covering your body in petroleum. Whenever you smell a "fresh scent" that's chemical you just consumed unknowingly.
