Dual coil Ti vaporized well without splattering or burning, from what I saw.

I put about .1g on the donut, but vapor production was underwhelming and my shatter just melted into wick and disappeared. That was the last of my shatter, so I'll have to see if it does a better job after this priming, or if it needs some sort of fiddling.

the 1701 isnt made for vapor production more for taste, but if you remove the black ceramic wick, it will produce more vapor.

.1 is alot more than ive put in the donut at one time. I put a dab on the black ceramic, pulse the button and roll it around to evenly cover, then let it heat for 15 seconds or so. If theres too much oil in it, i dont get great hits.

The new printers and spare parts so we dont go through this again are out for delivery and once we get them in they will ship out.

At the latest tomorrow or tonight, if the printer comes before 6pm we will pull double duty tonight and get it out if not tomorrow will go out for sure.

It may even have been 0.05g, but I'll try for smaller nibs.

Hey there guys. It's been a while since i posted and i had a question. @THC SCIENTIFIC , First off i LOVE :love:the Core, it lights up my life :D , second do you guys still offer that purchasable repair for the Core? I have two and on one the barrel connector separated from the cable. Also what size barrel connectors do you use? (5mm x 2.1) or (5 x 2.5) If you no longer offer the repair or if i get a wild hair i might try to fix it myself.

Tried out one the 1701'a just now. I'm kind of on the fence. It is going to take a bit more technique than the coil atty's demand I think. It does seem like it may require a "buffer" in the wick like the Herc. Also someone mentioned they need to use a stronger draw to get more vapor and I agree with that. More testing is required (woe is me!).

One question for @THC SCIENTIFIC (or anyone who knows), what happens to oil that goes down the center tube?

After a very successful skype session with @SamuraiSam I feel much more confident and pleased with my 8! Much more comfortable with how to go about making slight adjustments and testing things, as well as ensuring I don't over tighten carts which ended up being a HUGE issue I was having (and one I feel like probably a large number of you are having as well)

I've even gone back to the original button housing with the new larger center posts and have been having great success.

Very much appreciated Sam!

@SamuraiSam any idea where order 22190 is? I placed 2 orders on the sane day, 1 for an 8 and one for a Sr71. I got a shopping notice for the 8, nothing on the herc. it was ordered Saturday.

All orders should be shipped today as we tried to catch up on shipments yesterday.

anyone else gets oil leaking onto the outside of the sr74x? like the heater core outside and the outer shell. i get a some after some good use.

Still waiting for an update on the 8 but had a question in the meantime I seem to rember reading that the 74 spring loaded bottom adapter had problems on the 8 would I need a 71 style adapter fir the 74 on the 8 ? I'd like to be able to use both hercs on it when I get it

Edit: just got shipping confirmation! Very excited

The "issue" with the SR-74 bottom adapter that I had with my 8 was that the spring in the lower pin quit being springy. Wasn't an issue on my Persei because it gets crushed, but the geometry is a bit different on the 8 and you won't get a solid bottom pin contact without pressure from the spring no matter how much you adjust the bottom nut.

If the spring is currently good, you should be fine imo... If the bottom pin just sort of "hangs there" and give no pressure back when you press it in, it's not going to fire well, if at all.

Yea at some point I'll have to order 2 replacement bottom adapters with the solid screw contacts and the grooves for the nibbler

that is because you blow into the cart sending vapor out of the air holes on the sides when this happens and the vapor reconstitutes into oil again forming this said oil outside of the Hercules.
