Are you checking ohms using the w9 meter or a digital meter? if digital maybe a setting was wrong or I've seen meters that default to 1ohm instead of zero so maybe it was actually a 1 ohm coil?

Id love to believe i was using my multimeter wrong, but thats not likely the case. Each time i did different amounts of wrap, my first was 5.8, second was 2.8 and third was 2.1. Never dipped below 2 on the meter, and the last one burned out on my first test at 3.7v.

new button assembly. pretty sure the pin is adjusted correctly, KISS and globe work fine/better than on persei
core @7.4v, on the persei it glows in about 8 seconds
core @ 7.4v, on the 8 it glows in about 23 second
i have not adjusted the SR71 bottom so that's probably the issue. This is the very first SR71 bottom which does not have o-ring slots for a nibbler. How should I adjust that? Down a bit?
The 8 is guaranteed to work with

The 71 bottom adapter has a center pin that has a flat head slot on both sides you would need 2 flat head screwdrivers.
1/4 turn counter clockwise.
If you are not able adjust it properly do this for me.
Take a stop watch count how many seconds it takes for your herd to glow, package it up and send me a clean 8 the batteries and Hercules after you speak with @SamuraiSam i will then fully test it and see if I can beat your time.

HOLY SHIT! So alot of crazy things happened. I ordered yesterday, it shipped out yesterday, and on usps no less! I assumed at best id get it monday, nope! Bam! They delivered 2 ceramic carts and a dual coil 10 min ago. So rebuilding carts can take a back seat for a minute... Just wanted to leave first impressions:
Dual coil ti: A little disappointed its not the black ceramic, as i feel like theres an odd taste from the white. Well see after a few more rounds.
Ceramic donut: Super flavorful! New portable favorite(hercules excluded). It takes a little to warm up and the black donut moves around a bit, but well done.

Yes we had 5 shippers yesterday and for yesterday alone.
As for the dual coils being white,
This is only because it's impossible to use black in that form factor.
Expect the new black ceramic dual coils in a few.

Got my donut and dual coils an hour or so ago. It's crazy how quick it got here.
I've always been skeptical of the dual coil idea, but I'm actually digging it. I tried two little snakes on each coil and got 1~1.5 hits out of it. I tried a much bigger bb across both coils and god 1~1.5 hits out of it. I figured there must be some in the cup, but it was pretty clean. The dual coil seems to vape pretty thoroughly, I'm looking forward to trying it out more to see if I like it better than single coil.
The taste on the donut is bananas. My omi lite starts getting really hot after using it though. Also I start drooling like crazy. How much are people putting in and how are you doing the button presses? I just loaded around .1 (another .1 a little later) and was riding the button a ton. I feel like it's hungry and I'm not putting in enough, I'm not sure what the best technique is yet.

I made 2 orders for the sale. The later order I made is already here, other one took a nap in transit, and it's the one with my donuts and dual coils. Both packages went the same route, one just never left the LA sorting facility. Hope I get it Monday, I'm pumped to try the new atomizers. Excited to try the Okeanos and attempt some cool KISS rebuilding this weekend, since some of my stuff came so quickly!

For the donut do you just plop the dab in the centre?
if two separate orders then i have to cancel both orders and you have to replace it, just no way around it.
As for the 8, all 8's shipping now have the new button assembly along with the revision inside the button assembly. I posted about this its a small thing piece of plastic disc that makes sure the button cover and the internal gold plated disc to not come into contact at all.
As for the SR71 yes i can set it up and show you, but its still best to take it apart clean it and put it back together to get the feel of the unit.
@Breathemetal the disposable 1701 has the black wick on top so once it absorbs the oil it will fire, but at first you need to just throw the oil on top and melt it in.

@THC SCIENTIFIC i have an original SR71 (2 probably) with the original coils. Never really got it to work very well, maybe it was just me. Had some nice puffs, but never really Reliably. Is the SR74 easier to use? If so, Can I upgrade? Is the sr-71 upgrade kit necessary?

Man if your carts taste bad after cleaning with ISO, you have most definitely not gotten all the ISO out of the cart before use! This is not good for your health!
I clean my KISS carts and globes with ISO and have ever since I started using them and never get any adverse taste from cleaning, quite the opposite - they come up like new.
The key here everyone, is to make sure that after you have soaked your cart in ISO (not for too long, I find that half an hour to an hour is plenty for the most gunked cart!), that you thoroughly rinse with water and allow to completely dry before using it again.
This goes for anything you clean with ISO or ethanol - you don't wanna breathe in the thermal degradation byproducts of these chemicals!
