I don't submerge the bottom insulator in ISO. Everything else yes. I usually just wipe the bottom insulator. Also I don't see your Ti coil. U should clean that too.I just took the sr74x apart for the first time to clean it.. do I have it right.. boiling everything on the left and ISO bath everything on the right ?
& can I just ISO bath everythin instead

I am currently using w9 TI KISS and GLOBE carts with a non-w9 510 battery. I am leaning toward waiting until the persei is available with the v4 top but want to get running with the SR74. Has anyone tried running the SR74 at 3.7v with the black rod on a 510 3.7v battery (actually the RUVaped nano with a 10 second cutoff)?
I know its not optimal and that battery has limited charge capacity, but wondering if it will work as a temporary setup for the Herc.
How do you guys boil your pieces? Do you use sometype of drainer or screen that will submerge the parts but not touch the bottom of the pot? If so, can you send me a link on Amazon or walmart? Thank you.I just took the sr74x apart for the first time to clean it.. do I have it right.. boiling everything on the left and ISO bath everything on the right ?

Thanks w9. Someone responded and is working on my request! I guess I need to get the upgraded caps to fix this issue! I will report back on how they work.@THC SCIENTIFIC can you check on a service request? I have a brand new Persei recieved in late November that I can barely get to fire-it just blinks at me constantly no matter how loose or tight I have the cart screwed on. I have an another Persei that fires just fine from a couple months ago using the same two SR-71s. The problem follows the new Persei's cap. I have an open ticket but support is very slow to respond. I am trying to get this taken care of.

What is the point in torching a coil? I boil all of the metal pieces including the coil directly in a small pot and they come out perfectly clean. I then soak in ISO and rinse them clean for the final touch. There is no reason to torch a coil.I believe you're only supposed to lightly torch the coil. I don't know about it burning down but I'm guessing you might've torched it for too long.

I actually do find the need to torch my Ti coils every other cleaning. After so many grams the coil "holds" residue. Black residue that won't go away with ISO. This happens even with the best oil. Torching the coil burns off this left over residue. Very light torching. The coil will be destroyed if you torch it too long. Very fine line here. I suggest torching about 2-3 seconds on a low setting. Let it cool for 10 seconds and hit it again. If the coil is really dirty you will see all the residue burn off. Repeat as necessary. Always pay attention to the coils heat. If it's glowing , it's very close to being destroyed. What is the point in torching a coil? @k3nd4l I think too much of the second strip is exposed, I have the sr71 and I have mine flush with the retaining collar.
any ideas ?
So has w9tech replaced thermovape?
I have read so many great things about the Cero and dart/revolution? Who bought the intellectual property and are they building vaporizers?
I wasn't around during the thermovape time.
