The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

Buzzing doesn't seem normal, although my Mighty makes a high pitched frequency when it's charging or turned on.
I've heard that the Mightys that make a high pitched sound while charging or turned on are fakes-counterfeit ones. I saw a post somewhere about fake Mightys coming out of China, that used to be really easy to tell the difference, but they've gotten really good at copying them down to finer details than older fakes, such as serial number. I wish I could remember the link, but will look it up, and post a thread about how to spot a fake Mighy- comparison side by side, so you can see the very small, but very important details for spotting fakes.

I got my Mighty basically directly from Storz N Bickel and it has the beep, whilst it may be true china devices have beep, so do some originals.

On another point, I recently got the mighty capsules and haven't been following this thread, can anyone put me up to date on tips and tricks with these things? thanks.

I have the 8 capsule magazine and the 4 capsule keychain vile. I find the caps to work quite well, and don't leave the inside all messy and sticky. They say they are supposed to be disposable, but I have been using the same one for a month.

original mighty directly from S&B has a high pitched noise when turned on.
its normal.

not sure about the sound when loading the battery though.

the thing is a beast an cloud tank.
wish it would produce arizer solo like falvour.

guess you cant have it all in one device.
thats life.

My mighty is getting worn out. The batteries are tired, and recently a couple fins busted. It's 35 months old. I sent s and b a request for options. Either wait for the "rumored new model" or replace batteries, upgrade or shop for another vape.

We mainly vape rosin now days, and while the mighty vapes rosin pretty good, it's not a primary concentrate vape. More heat, and a body that doesn't break from that heat would be nice, maybe ideal.

I can wait a little longer, but not long. I'm down to 3-4 sessions per charge.

Comments? Advice?

I go where the thrills are
I just leave the CU alone. No need to take the CU screen out that I can see.
If I’m using the bowl native (sans pad or capsules) I find it necessary to remove the CU screen in order to clean out the debris that builds up just above (or below, depending on how you’re holding it) the screen on the little ledge piece. A shocking amount of crap builds up there, IME.

Definitely less necessary if you’re using the pad on top. :2c:

I am fairly sure mine isn't fake. It goes from Celcius to Farenheit, I bought it from TorontoVapes

did you get a S&B answer yet ?
of course they wont tell you about a new product.

S&B are rather slow in releasing new products.
they come up with something that just works... for a long time.
i call it quality.

If I were you I would invest in a professional cleaning and a new battery.
maybe S&B will hook you up with a new housing or mabye even with a new unit with all the silent updates the mighty has received in the last 2 years.

2min auto shutoff,
warning vibration pattern before shutoff,
stronger housing.

depening on the price for this service you will get a strong mighty.
you then can patiently wait for mighty2.0

They offered me a trade (upgrade) plus $249. Not sure how I'm going to proceed. I didn't think it would be that pricey.

I'm thinking about using it until it's dead dead, then throwing it in a drawer until they make a better concentrate vape. I have lots of vapes

Hi Mitch - we may be saying the same thing here. I don't feel the need to pull the CU screen as I use either capsules or more commonly the pad which I believe is what was asking...that is, when I use a pad, do I take the CU screen out and the answer was no, its fine in there.

But if used natively, as you said, it definitely will need to come out and be cleaned or replaced at some point.

Cheers

If it were me (aka when my batteries are getting a bit long in the tooth) I would consider picking up a half decent soldering iron (I'd recommend a weller) and maybe practicing some skills on some perf board. When you're good and confident that soldering really isn't that complicated I would order 2 new batteries, open up your mighty, and simply replace the batteries yourself.

You'll get the job done on the cheap and you'll have another tool in your arsenal for a plethora of things in the future. It's also a lot easier than most people think.

YAK, that is pricey indeed.
but okay, that is the reduced price for a new unit.
still pricey though.

in that case I would ask for a new battery only or use it till its dead dead.

I absolutely agree with @imterwebuserguy about self service of batteries, though I've not done it myself. I believe it could be achieved for under $100, including the soldering iron, and would be oh, so gratifying.

I've been closely following this (and Crafty) thread for over 2 years, i.e., since before any of these had expired warranty, and I've yet to see/hear of anyone actually getting a unit "serviced." Even when it's been called service, S&B always just sends a new replacement unit.

I'd love to hear about any exceptions to this experience!

On a follow-up email, they offered to replace batteries for $79, but urged me to replace at $249.

For now I'm just going to use it until it dies or becomes troublesome.

I'm hoping by then, there will be something better for concentrates on the market.

And I do feel like it was useless to baby this vape through the warranty, cause once it's done, if you use it a lot, the batteries will most likely be shot, and fins will be missing.

Mines in for RMA for damaged housing and they offered 80 euro to replace or repair for free. I opted for free obviously so let's see if it actually gets serviced....

I have my mighty since 1.5 years now (after 6 Crafty RMA), i bought mine directly from S&B Germany and i would like to open RMA for "housing" issue too. Do you think they will only change the "housing" or sent me back a new Mighty?

Mine also still in warranty. I'll be sending mine away next week before I go on holiday and hopefully have a new one for when I return.

It looks like it is separating at the seam, and maybe some very minor chipping around the edge of chamber opening.
I'll remain curious, too, to see if anyone actually gets a repair or all just replacements. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

now i see it.
the seem goes apart.
what does S&B say ?

Nothing atm, i will open rma next week and see what they can do for me ^^, i would like to know before to open RMA if anyone experienced this kind of issue ;)
Thanks!!
