Well it arrived today and I got the answer....

owDbwwE.jpg

Kind of wish they would have given me an option to replace my scratchy bowl, but maybe that would have been considered a new vaporizer.

So all I paid was shipping! They replaced the body, cleaned, serviced and shipped back to me no charge. Plus gave me a new CU, that's like $18 right there! All for free after warranty! Also, I now have boost mode and the staggered vibrations before shutoff. Other than the bowl, feels like a new unit. Updated screen. How could you not love S&B?

guess they do actually service them then. looks like i got lucky with a brand new unit, or like i say maybe my heater was junk too

For sure I'd buy another one. I'm about to get my second come Christmas so I can eventually rma my original. The best device hands down imo
Everyone that's seen it has been blown away lol literally. Best bang for your buck. Just makes life that much better. I can go on forever about how amaze balls it is. But you just have to buy one and you will see.

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone has attempted a tear down of the Mighty? I bought mine used and it's out of warranty. It's still running fine, but I've thought about replacing the batteries if it's possible.

Edit: Or if anyone has heard of S&B doing an RMA on a device no longer under warranty?

is this thing on?
I'm thinking of buying a Mighty and needed some answers from you or any Mighty Maniac thats out there. After owning one for a year , after all the things that have transpired , would you buy one today and why? Do you think the majority of owners use the capsules and would the S&B loading tool work
with the capsules? Thanks to whomever replies.

Hey. You probably have considered if a butane vape or an electric vape is more your alley. If not, you should think about that first. If it's got to be an electric Vaporizer, the Mighty is one of the best choices and in my opinion the best. The device delivers performance-wise. Every time even colored ABV, very good and long lasting taste, highly efficient with the capsules and I think there is not much hassle with it. Good batteries all in all, outstanding service from what I see. It's not shiny, it's like a reliable tool. S&B have long lasting expirience and the plastic is considered safe, it's medical approved, right? (Is it?) It's made in Germany. Maybe it's just me, but if it's got to be high end, I like it when it's manufacturing isn't outsourced to I don't know where just to squeeze more bucks out of a sold unit. The early edges have been ironed out and you can be sure that all you buy now you can let them repair even years after warranty because the company will still be around. Not to forget the compatibility of the bought extras like capsules: They will fit with the next devices to come for sure. By the way, get an extra Cooling Unit for it, it's handy! The filling Aid I like. But it's not necessary.

Yes, I would definitely buy it again and the reasons why are because its a very good, extremely dependable, extractor that is dead easy to use.

I do sometimes use the dosing capsules but its not the Mighty loading tool that should be used (I think) but rather when you buy the 8 pack of capsules the lid of the case is a loading tool. Don't use that either, tbh. I just fill them with a New Vape scoop.

Mostly, however, I load the Mighty natively right in the bowl and put a liquid pad on top. Load losely to the top of the proper part of the bowl, add liquid pad which tamps it down, keeps herb out of the CU, and adds some conduction.

I get the most even AVB with the Mighty and liquid pad on top of the load.

Cheers

the plastic is considered safe, it's medical approved, right? (Is it?)

I learned how to properly check for any off gassing from a member on another thread. (new/clean unit at top temp, with a flashlight in a dark room) I tried it with my Volcano, and nothing! Then I tried it with my (refurbished Mighty) just back from S&B (before using)

Without the CU, and at top temp, there was nothing. But when I added the (brand new) CU, I saw a little coming out of the stem mp. (I wonder if it's the blue bands?). Then, I added an empty capsule to the empty bowl, and saw more than a little. I forgot to test just the mesh pad...

Did it for 20 min, and it didn't really go away. Gave up and filled a bowl. By the second bowl any new smell was gone, and I was loving my Mighty again! But unlike the Volcano SV/EV pieces, it did give off a little something. I should include that was at 410F, and I never go over 375. But still...

Quick question: How long does a warranty last, and does it matter if my Mighty fell into a lake once (I got it out after 1second and it works fine ever since).

Also, do u just send it in for repairs? or are their services u can pay for?

1.Warranty is 2 years.
2. It depends what you will ask for when you send it in, imo. If they can relate the issue you complain about to water damage, it could matter. Ime they were pretty lax with my RMAs. Just two, one for the Mighty and one for the Crafty. Do you have any reason to send it in?

Its actually working fine, despite a few drops and the lake incident. I'm coming on 2 years soon.

Almost a moot point since your warranty may expire soon, but,
Long while back one member had a big dispute with S&B and S&B made reference to detecting his Mighty had been in or near water. He had actually been kayaking, but as I recall the Mighty had not gotten dunked.
At the time our thinking was that there may be a moisture detection strip inside the device, like cell phones have, so the company knows when to deny warranty service.

Subsequently, a running joke here has been, advice to new owners, "NO kayaking!"

I got the Mighty on Mon.Its crazy but I expected it to be much bigger and heavier than it is. Got it from Randy(He's beyond words) PIU is one of the finest friends of FC. Crafty's big brother is as good as everyone has stated . I'm one who doesn't believe the hype in anything. The Mighty is the exception. The extraction, the vapor and flavor are all top shelf. The Spalted Milaana I have ,is the only portable that I go to ahead of the Mighty. It's RBT then S&B.

Nice to hear that you like it!
Having a stand is recommended. Mine has suffered minor damage from very simple face-plants. The little protective bars along the sides of the chamber being kinda thin, even though part of a re-designed housing from years ago, are still a little bit of a weak spot.
In addition, maybe pick up a magazine and set of dosing capsules for ease of use when out and about. It's pretty clever that the top cover of the magazine doubles as a loading funnel for capsules.
Enjoy!

I sent my Mighty in because the batteries have gone to hell. I'd be lucky to get 4 sessions out of a charge.

Today Storz replied to the RMA that my device tests normal and everything is fine.
Not happy.

What's the end of this story ? Do they have sent you back your Mighty ? :\

Hey vapviking , check, check ,check . The only thing I was hesitant about were the caps effect on flavor & heat but I'm going for all 3. Thanks for the help.

I posted a cheap $5 case on ebay a few pages back. I recommend you get it, its perfect for the mighty. Also some basket screens, I also posted previously, their cheap and imo better than capsules with airflow.

Hey all. I ordered the S&B magizine with dosing capsules. Once I use a capsule I cannot open them back up to refil. The original capsule that came in the box is no problem opening the lid to reuse. Does anyone else have this problem? I understand they are disposable but just using 1 capsule and having to toss it seems wasteful and eventually getting pricey.

Press slightly with your thumb and then pop the cap off or use your other hand. They get a bit easier with use. Not 1 and done for sure. The capsule and Mighty combo is sooooo good...still my #1

Thanks for the quick reply. I wedge my thumbnail around the bottom edge of the lid to no avail. Where do I “press slightly with your thumb”. Where is the pressing point? Thank you.

Instead of the Capsules, I recommend these:
arizer-screen-pack-dome.jpg

Only $6 for 4 (extreme q baskets), they allow for better air flow, no popping to open, and u can pre-pack a few with bud and stuff them in a 1g baggy for travelling, very convenient.

In fact I use these at home in my Mighty. I never fill the chamber, always these little guys. That way I need not brush the bowl clean after every use like I used to, and I actually never need to do any major cleaning or screen changing to the bowl.
