I've had my mighty for 23 months and it's still going strong!

Wondering now if I should get the new mighty with the 2 minute shutoff. I feel like I've got my return on it, as an investment. My current unit is still running at satisfactory performance, but I'm thinking I'll get the new one as a gift for myself

What do you guys think?

That or ask them if they can upgrade the firmware and send it to them for update perhaps??

Hello, everyone. Been a while but I wanted to touch base back on my feelings on the glass mouthpiece for $9 USD I got from Hong Kong. All in all, I would probably not buy one again. While I love the glass and the feel in the mouth, the unit is held in place by some plastic rings that want to slide up and out (taking the mouthpiece) with it once the unit heats up. I have some pics below so you can see what occurs with this unit. Unfortunately, the piece will pop up and out with enough jostling and temperature changing so the piece can fall out and hit the ground, which is what mine did the first night I had it. Needless to say, the mouthpiece chipped on the concrete it hit and a larger stress fracture is now there, rendering the piece unsafe and useless. Your mileage may vary? Thank you.

I emailed the company a couple of days ago but have not yet heard back. This is a tough one. I feel the design needs more refinement (especially that plastic "holder" and tempering of the glass).

Also apparently (not my own information) latest firmware has powerboost function like Crafty and jumps to higher temp and returns to lower temp next time it's powered on - I like the sound of this as my mighty is always at 199 when I switch it on and have to turn it down to 177 to start the next capsule. I could be forward thinking and turn it down before switching it off but..... meh!

I just send my mighty for a repair. Hopefully they will upgrade the firmware for me.

I don't know when they cut the change in as S&B is not very forthcoming on these types of subjects.

But my Mighty, bought over the holidays, has both the two minute auto-off timer and the boost function mentioned above.

Most likely you'll get a new one that will have the latest firmware on it.
I bought my mighty brand new and it have some rattle noise inside the unit. So I send it to S&B right away. The unit work just fine, but with a brand new unit it shouldn't have weird noise inside. Probably some chips felt inside, not sure.

Why? What good is glass compared to the original mouthpiece on the Mighty? The feel?

Hi guys I'm new here so please bear with me if I ask questions/ responses that have already been addressed.

I have been vaping for over 7 years now so have been through the mill when it comes to vapourizer's (Kind of get what you pay for).

In regard to the glass mouth-piece, I have a glass mouthpiece on my Mighty and would never go back to the OEM. The glass mouthpiece has a slightly bigger mouthpiece so as Blackfriars states above it allows for more vapour to be inhaled thus you don't have to inhale as much as you do with the OEM. Another bonus is that you will never get that plastic smell or taste I have heard fellow vapours complain off.:peace:

GO FOR GLASS:tup:

Hi Guys - I recently sent my MIGHTY back to S&B I have detailed the process below, it may be informative to someone.

I had an issue with my Mighty plastics fracturing/ cracking causing the CU to be a loose when connected to the Mighty. This was also causing the whole 3 inch (approx) heat chamber to move if a pushed with a bit of pressure. I got a RMA from S&B (no problems at all) and sent the unit minus the CU back to S&B on the 15/02/17 (cost me £12 for registered delivery, insurance & tracking, I could of sent it cheaper but thought I'd better play it safe as it cost me £280).

S&B contacted me via email on the 20/02/17 to advise they had received the Mighty & I would be contacted as soon as my device was repaired.

They contacted me on the 21/02/17 - I have pasted the correspondence below :

21.02.2017 – European Market

Hello Mr. *****,

your device has been received.

In regards to your defective housing, we can offer you either the replacement of the defective Housing free-of-charge, or, alternatively, a new MIGHTY for the price of 69,00 €.

Should you want to make use of our chargeable service, payment can be done by sending the requested amount of money (69.00€) to our Paypal account info@storz-bickel.com

Technical Support

Although I was advised the plastics would be repaired free of charge I wanted to go for a new Mighty as I had dropped my Mighty on numerous occasions (not causing huge damage but obviously it doesn't help the unit) but before opting for the replacement I asked the questions below.

21.02.2017 – Mr *******
Hi, if I went for the replacement at €69 would the mighty be a brand new and if so would it come with new vibration patterns & boost function. Additionally where can I get information on the new functions that the Mighty has.

They replied below:

Hello Mr. *******,

you will then get a brand new MIGHTY.

The booster temperature can be activated by means of a double-click on the orange-colored ON/OFF switch.

Please visit our homepage for further information under following link:

With that being said I decided to go for a brand new mighty as it was only going to cost me £61.04 (69 euros) and as I have had this unit for approx 2 years I thought it was a no brainer. I will paste the rest of the correspondence I had with S&B below.

21.02.2017 Mr *******

I would like a brand new Mighty (I would like it to be the latest model Mighty with the boost function and new vibration patterns). I have made a €69 payment to your Paypal account, I have attached a screenshot of the payment.

Hello Folks, this is my first Post.

So I got my Mighty since late 2015. Bought the device from e*by, second hand for a very nice price!

A couple of times I used the unit with an adapter for water filtration.

I know that you should not screw the adapter to hard, just a gently twist and it sits in position, so I never overscrewed it.

This cracking happened 2 Weeks ago. I took the top off and a little piece of plastic came off.

Anybody got the same issue? Would be really interesting to know.

Kind regards.

Hi Tallest!

I think we got the same issue with our mighty look at the picture above. Your story with S&B sounds very positive to me. Thank you for posting it! I Would love to get a brand new 2017 Mighty for only 69 €!

How you got that RAM? Can you send me a link?

I'm in the market to purchase a new portable, my replacement crafty has broken and I'm looking to get another crafty or get the mighty. For those who own the crafty and mighty, is there one you prefer over the other? Thanks

Looks like you still have enough there to hold a CU on tightly from both sides so doesn't appear to be functionally impacting, yeah?

The WPA's flanges aren't rounded and tapered (ramped down) at the end like a real CU, hence the caution to not screw it in entirely. You can always take a dremel tool or small files and fix it up...I did this.

But I found I just didn't really like it as much as native with the Mighty and I have other vapes that I do use water with (EVO for example) and love it.

Hi mate, that picture looks extremely familiar to me (mine fractured the same way only a larger piece of plastic had Come away). You can initiate an RMA from the support section on the S&B website. Good luck ✅

I wasn't aware they could update the firmware, I was under the impression if you wanted the new functions of the Mighty it's a case of shelling out pennies.
