We'll see you in a couple of months when you come crawling back here Just kidding; enjoy your Crafty
I LOVE foosball!Kicker!
Got my Mighty back yesterday. Very fast service. Total turn time was five business days from the day I mailed it.
The unit was separating at the top by the bowl. Mine was bought in September of last year, so it has the latest hardware already. They fixed the housing, did a deep clean on it, replaced the screen, o-ring, poke tool and the cooling unit. They also upgraded the firmware and included a note that explains how the Boost Mode works.
I'm very satisfied with the RMA experience. My only complaint is that the repair played up the need for a USB port on this thing. The firmware should be user upgradable.
That's great news. Is it your old one back or is it a new unit with new serial number?
Very soon.
After testing, I was a dick and asked @Ratchett to make a couple design changes.
He's a bit swamped, but told me he's on it.
I'm pretty sure he's referring to the loading tray, I've been waiting patiently too!Waiting for what? I want to be excited but I'm apparently too high to find the reference
Me too. But don't want to pester @Ratchett . He be busy.
If he does read the thread, he should send one to another FC member for testing.
I can't get one now anyway. No address. Yay!!
If you are using very small loads, either in the dosing capsule or straight into the bowl, see if you can fit a liquid pad on top (certainly can in the bowl) as this seems to hold the load together for better extraction....better conduction I guess is what it is. I tend to put a Liquid Pad onto off most of my loads unless I really pack the over up to capacity.Hi FC folks,
Former lurker here, who decided to join the forum to try to contribute to the body of knowledge, after learning so much from here.
I'm posting here as the Mighty is my daily driver. Got it since early 2017, and I must confess I'm still surprised by it from time to time. I would say that my learning curve is not complete yet, as sometimes it will sit me on the sofa, other times it would just give me a light buzz. Dialing the temp for the strain is defo very important. In 2016, I got an Alfa, but despite being much more portable (battery life aside) and discrete, has a much bigger learning curve, and the vapor can get hot because of the short path.
I've been using the dosing capsules exclusively, and find them very useful, as many here have said. It's a breeze to (un)load, and keeps things clean. I would normally use 3g of vaporizables to make 14 capsules. Not too packed, just a little. I've noticed that with anything less than 1/2 a capsule, vapor production is not that great. I've noted some reside on the cap's lid at times, but this is easily removed with iso/alcohol.
I don't really use the tool provided to fill the capsules, instead throw the grinded vaprizables into a glass and scoop/press by hand. I find that this goes much faster, and I only need to do it once every so often.
The Easy Flow adaptor is also an interesting idea, but poorly executed. The only advantage I see is that you will spare the CU from getting dirty, but the disadvantages are too many. Instead, I prefer to use a hose from the MF or the Vapir, to then connect to a water tool. These cost a bit more, but considering the price tag on the Mighty, I rather use something that is not going to break my casing.
Something that I have noticed, which I believe to be a bug, is that when connected to the mains, the unit would not vibrate before going into auto shut off. Has anyone else experienced this, or it it just mine?
I use the screen on top as s spacer too (which I prefer in place of the pad). There are dosing capsules with Liquid Pads in it, that would work for very small Loads.
If i don t use the Capsules, i get better Results with an additional Screen in my Bowl on Top of the Load than with Liquid Pad.
YMMV, but before spending Money, test a very small Load directly in the Bowl, Tamp it down, Screen on Top. 210 C and Rip it :-)
Trust me guys - I'm working on it! Hopefully another week or two and I'll have the first draft of my new take on the loading tray to show you.
Long story short, 3D printing just wasn't cutting it for the loading tray. I wasn't happy with the product's quality. So I took the design to a professional who I'm working with to machine the design from some higher quality plastics. The finished product is going to be MUCH nicer than before.
The shift in direction on the tray is the reason for the major delay, I could release the design I have right now, but I'm just not happy with the results
I'll be honest, the first batch will likely sell fast, so be sure to subscribe to my store's RSS feed so you'll be notified when I publish the loading tray product to my store
Packing the bowl directly (as opposed to using the capsules) I can squeeze.24 g's or so in a full bowl. I get at least three 5-7 sessions out of that amount....I'm sure I get as much as 25 hits from some bowls, and at least 18-20 on the low side.Debating on ordering a Mighty (again!) Just a few more questions. How many sessions of about 5-7 hits can this take on one loaded chamber? For example on my pax 2, I get about 3 sessions (with changing temperature) on a half loaded bowl. Thnx!

I just received the Sneaky Pete version of this adapter and have been thoroughly enjoying it, too.I have been using the Easy Flow adaptor daily and i love it! I actually pack the end of the adapter too and get around 30% more material in than if i only filled the mighty.
Just make sure you don't over tighten them and you should be fine.
