I'm like you Baron23, i 've tried to use my Mighty with water, but for me the Mighty is really better without water ;),i have two other vape than i prefer to use natively; the Plenty (also S&B vape) and Sticky Brick Junior...

Same here. It was ok with water but I think it shines on it's own.

I typically use it at 365f and bump up the temp as I go. I almost always use the liquid pad and smaller load. I'm thinking about getting a Vapcap for water tool usage but that's for another thread. :)

Vapingfans sent me thier knock off muzzmod mod and no glass mouthpieces???? Wtf. And about the thinner vapor irritating? OK yes it's thinner and less tasty but..... you go slow and use it right. Then u get less irritation and more high faster.... but yes less taste. The water helps with purifying so more irritation maybe you don't got enough water or try the warm like suggested above. I do agree though somewhat like I said the muzzmod seems to be less effective due to no drag. Can't keep up. Need lungs the size of an elephant. But the whip on the cu is amazing lol. I'm still figuring shit out. Lol glad it's a little chilly in Florida cause in Toronto we just got some more snow.

I really can not confirm what you have experienced with water filtration (thinner more irritating vape)...
Just sent my 3 months old mighty in and received a brand new one together with some dosing capsules and a 18.8 bong adapter and what can I say? Never again shall I mess up the heating chamber by putting the herbs directly into it - the dosing capsules do a great job and after a few sessions my mighty and my capsules look as good and shiny as new from day one. The bong adapter truly is a great piece to have and together with the capsules I do get some thick convenient clouds out of my bong. Definitely less irritating my throat.

But I guess everyone prefers his own way to use this electronical master piece.

Indeed @Jack_72 each likes thier own method best. The vapor is going to be thinner because that for me is a lot of water i barely cover a perc hole to preserve flavour and potency. And i have planned the exact same setup as @Baron23 from vapefiend i have the F-Bomb so i could link it into that with the female whip adapter from there too or use the CU. I guess i will experiment but if @Baron23 could maybe test something?

I would first use minimal whip length this should be important to get thicker vapor alongside less water, And i would wet my fingers in a dry bong and blow back into your setup. If the air is coming out wet fingers will feel it around the vapefiend water adapter for the mighty and if it can leak out it leaks in and dilutes vapor. So if this is indeed happening then you would need to solve this use less whip length and less water.

That should thicken the soup up! Whatever works is my final purchase with 5mm tubing but i prefer a clean method hence would like no CU and dosing capsules. I hate cleaning my desktop vape all the damm time and hate plastic!

To clarify a bit, the adapter you bought is, I believe, an Easy Flow adapter, about the only commercially available glass-on-glass adapter. "Muzzmod" refers to one that is home made using a cannibalized cooling unit, a 14/18 mm glass piece and some epoxy. The name is from the guy who first made and wrote here about one, the esteemed @elmomuzz . So, credit where credit is due. Huge props to @elmomuzz.

Anything that adds length to the vapor path (from the chamber to the mouth) will allow for some cooling and inevitable condensation of vapor in the path. So this is automatically a degradation of the vapor, but should reduce harshness as well. Not necessarily a bad thing, as some folks do need the vapor attenuated, adapted to suit their tolerance for the whatever degree of harshness (btw, I agree with @rodders83 that @Bomb33 has a lot more water than necessary in that piece.)

My opinion about whispy vapor is that it has so much to do with strain/pack/dryness/grind/even particular flower that I don't think laying blame on the adapter is exactly correct. Unlike combustion with bong use, using water with a vape is more about adding moisture than about cooling or filtering out impurities. Most folks (but not all!) go the water route in search of a higher temperature experience. A bowl I would do native at 185-190 I can easily do at 205-210 with water. Faster extraction, and more potency per hit. Thick clouds absolutely are possible with a direct GonG adapter (Easy Flow or Muzzmod).

All this said, my usual water setup lately involves a muzzmod, with Mighty inverted directly on to water piece. From the wt to mouth I use a silicone whip, shared with wife. We also love Mighty native and look sometimes just for a change of pace and flavor signature.

Lots of folks/lots of ways to do this! And there is no particular right or wrong, if it works for you.

I did test the whip/adapter for air tightness and it was good.

Not sure why the vapor seems thinner. Used a 65mm can WP that I also use for my GH and VapCaps when I want to use water cooling.

Nonetheless, thinner vapor and in particular a much more irritating vapor and I'm not sure why.

Shortening the whip length is on my list of things to do but for right now, this isn't the way forward for me.

@vapviking - As I said in original post this subject, identical herb was used with whip/WP and without. This is well ground and well dried herb that I have been running through all of my vapes. The degredation of vapor quality I experienced with the Easy Flow and whip are not herb related. More than the vapor getting thinner, the increased irritation is what caught my eye. Silicon tubing is 100% medical grade. Can't remember who I bought it from...420 Science maybe?? Maybe not??

Cheers

Sorry, I was not responding directly to your post, rather to some comments that it spawned. I was just listing some of the many variables at play in these "tests" we do.

But one thing occurs to me. Are you using dosing caps with your Easy Flow adapter? (sorry I've not gone back to review). If not, are you using oil pad or addt'l screen atop load? From what I understand, there's a lot of space between top of chamber and the adapter's screen and it needs something to hold the material down snug. Could it be loose pack is leading to whispy vape?
Idk what to say about the increase in harshness other than, if it's a problem that water tool isn't smoothing out, maybe you do need to run thru c/u first, thence to via tubing (as suggested above).

So I get where you are coming from vap viking but I've been experiencing the same. Thinner vapor and harsher compared to the cu and whip. I've said it before and say it again. Lol German technology. Something with the cooling unit makes for better vapor with or without water lol. Try sucking on them native lol. The cu with whip and then the easy flow. With no water. Then tell me what... same herb same pack etc etc. It just is. But ya whatever floats your boat. Someone said it before and I think it's true. The easy flow is just too much for the mighty. No drag??? Maybe looking at a gh now for water.lmao.

No problem, mate. Just wasn't sure if you had seen this in my previous posts. I agree, herb can make a big difference and why we need to use the same herb for A/B testing and comparisons.

No dosing cap, I use a liquid pad on top of the load and underneath the WPA.

And, I really don't think its my glass piece or the amount of water. This C2 65mm can has tamed the mighty GH vapor, certainly it will tame Mighty vapor. Its not that its hot, it just seems to be a more irritating vapor...sort of like a Volcano bag that was left to sit too long. That vapor can get nasty. Just not sure yet but will try whip on CU with same herb and WP and see how that does.

Thanks for your interest.

To everyone who has had the possibility to test both the muzzmod and the easy flow adapter:
I only own the easy flow adapter which works pretty well but regarding the price of ~20$ it has some issues in my opinion: the plastic piece and the glass adapter itself do not stick together - both parts are looseley coupled. And I have read multiple times that you should not turn the easy flow adapter all the way around because it will break your mighty unit apart. That leads to a not so tight connection between the mighty and the bong as the easy flow adapter will easily lose itself and fall of. And what annoys me a bit is the fact that my glass piece arrived with a tiny crack on the inside...

Well I am not that unskilled when it comes to DIY stuff so I am considering making my own muzzmod. Good idea or is my easy flow thingy OK and I should keep it as it is?

Big thanks :).

I agree. Give @elmomuzzs muzzmod a try. I think that could be where we are all getting confused lol. I think imo that that's the way to go. Cause I feel the same with the easy flow. Not airtight like an Elmomuzz. Let me know what you discover.

hey guys I think I have a serious problem with my mighty. when its heated up to vape temp thin smoke is coming out of it (no bud in the chamber, no cooling unit on it). I have not used it since then but before it was working great. does anybody know wtf is going on there?? maybe some burning plastics in the heater?? and no its not a fake one.

I am pretty worried about that because I used it some days ago when I was drunk and noticed it yesterday. Hopefully I didnt inhale some weird burning shit

Take a little strip of whip tubing...just a strip, not a cylinder....and put it between the glass and the housing to hold it in place. Also, probably can do the same by building up with plumbers teflon tape.

As far as "don't turn all of the way", I just took a dremel and some files and have put a little bit of a ramp in the flanges of the Easy Flow so it catches better. I still don't crank it all the way as I am very protective of my Mighty's housing, but its on there damn tight.

I intend to use the whip with the factory MP (and the glass after market MP I bought) to see if that's better. My initial experience with the Easy Flow and WP were not satisfactory to me.

My initial experiences were the same. I modded my easy flow similar to your approach and it's working great. I also use a basket screen for logs as a spacer between the pod and screen on easy flow adapter. It's a shame you have to mod the easy flow, but you can definitely improve it as you've already done. Cool idea with the ramped flanges!

Does the color of the sealing rings refer to anything like revisions or sth.? Just noticed that my Mighty from Dec 16 had a purple ring around the heating chamber (while my Mighty Feb 17 got a blue one) and inside the CU I guess it was blue instead of purple now. Just curious why they use different colored sealing rings. And Ive got pictures from my old Mighty proving that it had a purple one round the chamber.

@Chandler :

I believe @nenmayk is saying that you must be an FC member to buy.

No site or online storefront; you need to use FC messaging to contact him for the purchase details. Pretty good price, $30, domestic US shipping included. Anyone out there have one yet?
I bough one last week on eBay...It fits well and looks ok...Not really sure why I bought it...I have no need for my Mighty to stand up...I guess it was one of my many impulse purchases....
