Every time I track my package of won't show me anything

i had the same experience; never a response from them. But then it just arrived, and I was happy! This was ordered December 24th, took about 3 1/2 weeks to arrive. I ordered two more on Jan 28th and am still waiting. I didn't know their site was down.

For those interested in my S&B warranty questions I've been in contact with the supplier where I purchased the mighty, here in the UK, a company called @VapeFiend.com (nothing but praise for them!)

They've informed me that S&B will only replace units with new ones if there is a critical electronics or heater failure.

Now I'm left wondering whether my glitchiness is something that will progress into a critical electrical failure down the line?:hmm:

Think I will just send it back and see what they can do for me.

If anyone reading this has any tips regarding how to get the most of S&B in this process then please reply and tag me or DM me.

Peace :peace:

do you have an original mighty or the updated version?

so don't mention batteries at all (you WILL be hit with a fee)...but you can definitely use some of the worst practices around here to figure out how to break those 4 posts holding the body together in an 'un-intentional' looking fashion.

err004 (was a problem only in older models) would be caused by the heater not keeping up with the draw and give and err message, that problem would also come and go...if you ever had that problem, that would warrant a replacement (alongside some faulty old housing) :ninja:

your welcome :peace:

(only mention these issues if you've had them , as doing otherwise would be 'dishonest' :myday:)

*i was pretty brutal on my first mighty and it only lived to see three months...i think i'm on two or three! hats off to two years :whoa:

Ugh to wait three more weeks for this glass mouthpiece really grinds my gears and now the website being down doesn't help hahaha....do these glass mouth pieces only ship from outside the United States? Does anyone know of a company in the states selling these?

Dear Eric,

thank you for your interest in our products and pardon the delayed answer.

„1) In reading online reviews, I hear that there have been some defects in the Mighty and Crafty units. Is this an ongoing problem?”

The CRAFTY and the MIGHTY have been both continuously improved since their first release. Further, we have been accommodating with malfunctions and resolved the issues to the pleasure of our customers. We are confident that you will be satisfied with either choice.

“2) Have you made changes / revisions to the Mighty since it was originally released?”

As mentioned above, we continuously improve our devices, there have been changes, but none of them effect the overall functionality.

„3) How can I tell, when purchasing from a local reseller, or an online reseller, whether I am getting a unit with the latest revisions, or whether I am receiving an older unit? Is there a revision number on the box or the unit? Can I tell from the serial number whether I am getting a unit with the most recent revisions?“

We do not work with authorized dealers and regret to say that we can’t answer your question. If you would like to make sure that you receive a genuine product and the latest model, we recommend to purchase directly with us in our online shop.

“4) If / when the batteries stop holding a charge, or degrade to the point that they need replacement, how much do you charge to replace them, assuming this occur outside of the warranty period?”

Of course we only use the best cells available on the market and most of the devices processing power is used only for battery management, however, we cannot go beyond physical limits.
Defects due to normal use or wear are not covered by the warranty. Parts subject to wear such as batteries, screens and similar are excluded from the warranty.
Batteries will be replaced by Storz & Bickel. The exchange is €75,00 for the CRAFTY / € 105,00 for the MIGHTY.

„5) Do you have a flat fee for repair or replacement of a unit that stops working after the warranty period, and if so, how much is the fee? If you don't have a flat fee, what might be the range of costs to repair a unit?“

We would need to inspect your unit first in order to determine the costs for a repair, many factors have to be considered here.

“6) If a unit replacement during the warranty period, will you replace it with a new unit, or a refurbished unit?”

Our replacements are never refurbished units. We replace by new, unused units.

“7) Will you honour the warranty regardless of which local store or online reseller I purchase from?”

If the device is an original Storz & Bickel Vaporizer, the warranty will be valid regardless of where you purchased it from. Please keep the invoice as a proof of purchase for warranty purposes.

“8) Will my credit card receipt be acceptable proof of purchase date, if unit should ever need warranty service?”

Please keep the invoice as a proof of purchase for warranty purposes. Credit card receipt will not be acceptable as a proof of purchase.

We hope this information is of assistance to you!

Kind regards,

That's Euro's they're talking. I think in US the fee is more like $90 for Mighty batteries. It does sound expensive, but on the other hand, we rarely if ever hear of a Mighty needing this service. They've been on the market for over two years now. Mine is just approaching its 2nd birthday and going strong. If somewhere around 3 years I have to spend a hundred bucks, I will gladly do so.
I had one Crafty that required a $50(US) battery at 4 months old.

The world's more advanced countries protect the consumer better that US laws do re: battery warranty/replacement, trumping the S&B 'policy'.

but 100€ for 2 x 18650 Batteries??? this is pricey af. for 350€ there should be a 10 year warranty (including batteries, like pax) or at least replaceable batteries. I mean I love german engineering but S&B products are overpriced.

*The price is for both batteries (in Mighty) and their installation and shipping to you. And then it's just about as likely they'd send a new unit. That's what I got when I paid merely for new batteries in a Crafty. (summer '15)

*Edit, sorry I mis-read your post and believed you were thinking batteries were 350, my bad.

After warranty is up, brush up on skills and diy if you like!
Unfortunately most German products are over priced, and service follows suit. This is my US perspective because we have such great and plentiful inexpensive wonderfully engineered Asian products available these days. (ahem....)
I have zero regrets having bought a Mighty, and love it; it works fucking great!
S&B has given me rock solid service. Hard to get them to answer the phone, but at least they have one! unlike some younger upstarts out there (hello, HL?).

We're having a 9.42$ minimum wage around here.
I don't know the price of the batteries, but I guess SB takes around 20€ an hour. 105€ actually can add up here.

105 euro no way i would pay that i would claim back on my CC because i made sure before cicking to buy mine to ask first how much it would cost to replace the batterys. They replied stating i think 60 or so euro or sterling. They would have to justify a higher price to me but i never use mine 4 hours in 12months so far.

Blacklist me if you want for doing that if you are a retailer, But i have purchase protection that is international :D And i think blacklisting a customer would be very illegals in PC Germany. I will check later the exact amount but its all there with names to back it up and it was sent before my order.

Ouch... :)

Now that age (of Mighty's!) is becoming a bigger factor there should be some experiences with this?

I seem to recall some discussion of this earlier in this thread; the upshot was that people had different experiences, esp. between european and US distributors.

the good news (I think): if the batteries on these were indeed failing at a high rate toward the end of the warranty or shortly after, we'd be hearing about it right here. I follow this thread and haven't seen it. while the crafty clearly has a history of battery failure (which makes sense, since a single battery is being asked to do what 2 do in the mighty), the mighty seems to be a solid product that will probably last (for all but the heaviest users) far longer than the warranty period before failing.

I keep telling myself that nowadays, when we toss broken gizmos instead of repairing them, that when my mighty dies there'll be something better out there anyway, but that something better has yet to appear, AFAIK. there can't be many people posting here who only own a single vape, but if I could only have one, it'd be a mighty.

If i was mobile living in a warmer climate @darbarikanada i might shun a dekstop and buy a peice with 2x 10mm intakes. Just think one mighty in each hand going into the 10mm glass whip adapters. But for plain old bud in a colder temp you need more power if the ambient temps fall. Hence owning a desktop vape.

I still consider portables ideal for concentrates because they look so thick and tasty. So if you had a California life and had kief or oil then i could not see why you would want a desktop as well unless you liked collecting vapes. I just see them as things to clean which i hate i think the Herborizer is my last desktop vaporizer. In 6-7 years portables should have the market cornered i mean most are 30-50 watts how hard can it be with battery advancement and better materials?

Unless there is another step up to something like gasification (Sublimation) where else can technology go?
