Grinders? Grinders? We don't need no stinking Grinders!who cares about grinders... back to wondering where our Boxes are!!!
Yeah, but it reminded me to change my order to Ti! Let the arrival speculation continue!Grinders? Grinders? We don't need no stinking Grinders!
Seriously guys! 3 pages left, where are some damn shipping notificationsclosing in on page 300... NEED SOME SHIPPING NOTIFICATIONS
we did... 2 people actually IIRC, just havent heard any further about a response/shipping notificationI can't believe we haven't heard one person say they took up Trevor on the offer to get a GH shipped sans final charger
as in they replied with the link and the charger you are getting is that one? did they ask not to post said link? MORE INFOOOOOOOOOI will be getting my unit without charger (already have a third party external charger on the way). I will update once I have my grasshopper in hand with pix/a video review. Hoping for a shipping notification soon....
What I find fascinating is that it appears that their batteries are entirely custom cells....pretty awesome!
Its not a continuous 45watts. It's been mentioned multiple times before. It can spike up to 45 watts, but it averages closer to 30 watts.I am dying to know how they get a 45w heater to run off one 3.7v battery.

but pumped for you to get it
This is what I was told by Trevor after waiving my charger:
" You will receive a stock Grasshopper charger in the future, but not until all other orders are fulfilled.
We recommend this 3rd party charger: http://www.all-battery.com/Tenergy_Li-ion18500_18650_14500_RCR123A_BatteryFastCharger-01270.aspx "
I bought that charger off Amazon for $14....it supports all sort of rechargeable cells. I originally thought they were using 14500's but from the battery dimensions the grasshopper battery is definitely longer and thinner, so I guess they have their own custom cells.
I will keep you guys posted. Before your unit ships you'll get an email asking to confirm or change your shipping address. I confirmed my shipping address yesterday so I anticipate my unit will ship very soon...hopefully.
The irony in all this, is I have two units ordered; one Holiday gift for a friend and a regular unit for myself....now I guess I'll be keeping the holiday gift edition for myself and gifting the other one when I get it
I actually wouldn't mind a link to that "low-cost external charger" they mention, I wonder what it is?

I truly appreciate the fact that the battery is swappable. I had my Crafty die on me yesterday while I was using it....pain!

It can also be useful if you got more than one Grasshopper battery. You can always have one ready." You will receive a stock Grasshopper charger in the future, but not until all other orders are fulfilled.

if you go through 4 batteries b4 you have a chance to recharge any of them... you are a fiend lolSo i'm guessing GH wants you to charge your batteries at 500mah? I'm wondering if I can use this http://www.amazon.com/Nitecore-IntelliCharger-i4-Battery-Charger/dp/B005UAI372 . Since I'll have 3 or 4 batteries that would be amazing.
I'm wondering what they'll say about other smart chargers. I should probably ask but I don't want to bother them anymore.
One of the reasons i picked the grasshopper over the crafty/mighty was about the swappable batteries

I must say this grasshopper vape seems to have all the perfect specs. If I understood well
- Pure convection (on demand or sessions)
- User replaceable batteries
- Best stealth. Looks like an ecig
- Portability. It's small
- Price 135$ can be a second or first vaporizer (usually people don't want to spend too much
money on something, a vaporizer, they are not sure to like compared to smoking)
- Quick start up time
- No, I'm not paid by the grasshopper company!
- Main drawback for me in a portable: Only partial passthrough. With a total passthrough, it basically turn any portable into a worry free home vape.
- I also hope it fares well with small loads <0.05g
They are other aspects but those are the main aspects for me.
