So i'm guessing GH wants you to charge your batteries at 500mah? I'm wondering if I can use this http://www.amazon.com/Nitecore-IntelliCharger-i4-Battery-Charger/dp/B005UAI372 . Since I'll have 3 or 4 batteries that would be amazing.

I'm wondering what they'll say about other smart chargers. I should probably ask but I don't want to bother them anymore.

I am hoping that charger works also bc i have two of them , the digital version & non digital. Plus the charger linked by GH is a fast charger , i know the faster the rate at which you charge a battery the faster it will deteriorate . I'd rather go slow since these are not such of a high capacity they shouldn't take to long to charge and they will last longer with the slower charge. Cant wait to get my GH , it's gonna be my portable Bong.

I'm sure I've missed this info somewhere in the thread, but how much is it to upgrade from the ss version to the ti?

I'm wanting to upgrade but I'm hoping I would be able to pay the price that backers paid for their ti models? I paid for my ss in December '13 so I'm not wanting to pay as if I just pre ordered.

if you go through 4 batteries b4 you have a chance to recharge any of them... you are a fiend lol

I have the i2 but the i4 is so cheap now I figured I'd post it instead. Not exactly sure how letting 4 batteries discharge before charging any of them makes a person a fiend, maybe a bit lazy, kind of the opposite of a fiend. If I want to be around many people using the hopper as a session vape I'm sure we could go through 3 or 4 batteries in less than a few hours if we tried.

I'm going to test the fuck out of this thing. So it would be nice if I could use my nitecore i2

I upgraded to a color Ti from Stainless for $50

I could easily go through 8 to 12 loads in one day away from a wall outlet. So desire for a longer lasting battery.makes sense to me.

Sounds stupid, but.i really hope they.make a.little cheap.battery case so i can keep my pocketed batteries organized and prevent them from discharging in my pocket

Some sort of a battery case is a must.
I would even like to have different ones that hold 1, 2, or 4 batteries.

Perhaps the single battery case could even be a silicone battery sleeve like they have for 18650's.

Depending on how much my check tomorrow is I might bite the bullet and buy the SS + extra battery + SS case. Titanium sounds nice but if I want to get this thing before the price hike (I'm afraid of what it's going to jump to) I need to act fast and don't want to wait until I get paid again in a week.

EDIT: Then again, I can email Trevor about an upgrade next week! If the price increase isn't severe I'd be more than willing to pay the difference.

I know they're sized differently, but those look stretchy enough I bet you could make them fit on a grasshopper battery...

If GH labs doesn't...the. It seems that they could be 3D printed by someone easily.

So these would already be shipping to indie backers if not for the charger part being redone?

This is what I was told by Trevor after waiving my charger:

" You will receive a stock Grasshopper charger in the future, but not until all other orders are fulfilled.
We recommend this 3rd party charger: http://www.all-battery.com/Tenergy_Li-ion18500_18650_14500_RCR123A_BatteryFastCharger-01270.aspx "

I bought that charger off Amazon for $14....it supports all sort of rechargeable cells. I originally thought they were using 14500's but from the battery dimensions the grasshopper battery is definitely longer and thinner, so I guess they have their own custom cells.

I will keep you guys posted. Before your unit ships you'll get an email asking to confirm or change your shipping address. I confirmed my shipping address yesterday so I anticipate my unit will ship very soon...hopefully.

The irony in all this, is I have two units ordered; one Holiday gift for a friend and a regular unit for myself....now I guess I'll be keeping the holiday gift edition for myself and gifting the other one when I get it :)
FOMO (fear of missing out)

It can also be useful if you got more than one Grasshopper battery. You can always have one ready.

I must say this grasshopper vape seems to have all the perfect specs. If I understood well

- Pure convection (on demand or sessions)
- User replaceable batteries
- Best stealth. Looks like an ecig
- Portability. It's small
- Price 135$ can be a second or first vaporizer (usually people don't want to spend too much
money on something, a vaporizer, they are not sure to like compared to smoking)
- Quick start up time
- Lifetime warranty (edit)
- No, I'm not paid by the grasshopper company!
- Main drawback for me in a portable: Only partial passthrough. With a total passthrough, it basically turn any portable into a worry free home vape.
- I also hope it fares well with small loads <0.05g

They are other aspects but those are the main aspects for me.
@BuzzDanklin says it works well with any size load, small or tight packed

You should really check out etsy.com

@Ratchett has a store with a ton of awesome accessories for many vaporizers.

If you need something made, you ask @Ratchett!
He's the man.

Better yet go straight to the source!

If you can think it he can make it!

not yet but apparently theres something in the works... I would guess either a silicone sleeve that will hold like 2 together nice and snug or some printed case (would guess the silicone is the better bet tho)

wondering if the GH will fit inside its hard case with the silicone mouthpiece?

Thanks buzz for taking the time and effort. I judge what I see over what I hear, and am optimistic about the value proposition of this vape.
Just came across your post so am not sure if anyone answered but I had the same question and asked Trevor about it regarding both the hard case and leather sleeve and the answer is "no" to both. Here's his reply,
"Hi xxx,
The silicon mouthpiece will need to be removed to fit in the cases.
Thanks for the support.
Best,
Trevor"
