I don't doubt that they are probably awaiting a shipment of them. Probably waiting on multiple shipments of every part as sufficient quantities are produced. That's going to happen over and over. It's the nature of things.

Per the reply from Trevor to @Ratchett here The Grasshopper, they already have some of every part needed and are using those to build units currently.

So then the bigger question is.....................how many have they built?

So to whoever is emailing Trevor, ask THAT the next time you email him.

No one outside the company knows, or is talking at least.

As I said, if what Trevor said is true, logic tells us we should be seeing shipping notifications soon. They said earlier they plan to ship them as they are completed. If they are truly building them then the notification reports should be soon to follow.

We can speculate off a posted email response all we want, or we can wait patiently for a few more days for the regularly scheduled update.

Does anyone know what the trademark/copyright date is on the boxes? If I order it will be after full production run-up, and I really don't want to get stuck with a ©2013 box.

I can't wait till this comes out, and we can end this speculation, and get to more important things, like speculating about the serial numbers and future heater revisions.

should email and ask... saying you heard they have some of every part and you are the 4th early bird so just wondering whats up, just the fact of emailing alone may cause shipping status to change! :p

I think this is a tough question because they have been building GH in low quantities for the large investors for some time (although those were earlier prototypes, not the finished version). Do you count beta units, or finished models? Sadly the only "wild" report seems to come from @BuzzDanklin which I find very odd, you'd think someone with a GH would have found their way to Reddit to show it off

@lovinlivinlife I would seriously email Trevor and ask when you can expect yours. Say you know they have parts and are making grasshoppers, and you want to know how much longer it'll take for your name to come up on the list. While you're at it, ask for some more info on those boxes.

Specifically point #2. So it seems there is some evidence to infer some other people besides Buzz have a Grasshopper

Ah- true enough- but none of those people seem to be talking, and knowing Trevor's communication style, "some units" could well mean "2 units".
I'm not usually the pessimist around here, I'm just not going to believe they are actually getting out into the wild until I hear proof of substantial numbers having shipped.

Has anybody canceled their order yet? I am so close to doing so that I looked around the website and my account profile for a link but didn't find one. If you did cancel, was it via email to Trevor?

I'm just sick of waiting! I canceled my Ascent due to all of the delays, and then purchased one a few months later after they worked out the kinks. It's more my way of saying damn the man, even if it is a temporary damning..

And I feel like they should have finalized things before taking everyone's money. I know, unforeseen yada yada yada, and that really does suck for them, but once you take money for goods, you must deliver those goods.

I accept the fact that I was paying the money for something that only existed as a slight reality, and that doesn't bother me, but I am quite tired of the vague info and the uncertainty. If I'd been waiting as long as most people on here I'd probably be angry.

Yes, it kinda sucks that I just missed the kickstart, so I cannot afford to get a colored titanium. But I'm effectively an investor anyway. If they needed my money to help develop it and get it to market, then they should have taken it when I first offered it, and given me the same deal as all of the other "investors."

not when you "pre-order" and you cant finalize a new product without the money before hand. Dont compare GH to other established companies and products like your ascent. its def a diff scenario. It will get out and it will be awesome... #positivity
